I started indoor cycling in November and have loved every minute!! As a runner, I was looking for cross training and then I found StarCycle of Eugene. Julie, the owner, is wonderful and very helpful as well as an excellent instructor I have taken 34 classes so far & all the instructors are great, the classes I have taken have been with Jillian, Julie & Nat. The studio is kept very clean & they also have merchandise to purchase. Bottom line, if you are looking for a low impact, but high intensity, then StarCycle is the place for you. read more

I love going to Star Cycle! It's a fantastic workout that is fit in to a perfect 45 minutes of your day. You get a good sweat in, legs are sore, and every class includes some arm work as well. You can adjust the resistance of the bike to push yourself as much or as little as you want to. The studio is always clean and bright; I love that the actual cycling room is dark and lit with minimal lighting on the instructor and a couple of candles. Every instructor I've had has been fantastic with contagious energy. My favorites to ride with are Shanna and Julie. The Star cycle app is easy to use and buy passes through; this location also recently became available on the ClassPass app which I really appreciate as that's the main app that I use. They've also added some new class formats as of 2024 ...looks like some longer 1hr rides and shorter "strength" classes have been added to the schedule. I appreciate the variety and am looking forward to trying the new class formats! read more

Because I'm on tour I try to find a cycle studio in each city as it's one of my favorite workouts. This studio was awesome!! They have a new client special - 3 classes for $30. Pretty awesome if you ask me! I took classes with Nate, Daschel and Reesha and each instructor was different but wonderful. The front desk staff is SO helpful and kind and I really felt welcome from the second I came in. This happened EACH time I came in and It didn't go unnoticed. Very clean facilities, changing rooms and they even have a baby changing station in one of the restrooms. I also appreciated that they have cubbies on the inside of the studio as I had some valuables that I felt more comfortable bringing in the room with me. Shoe rental is $5. Here on Yelp, an answered question says $2, but it isn't so just be aware! A little pricier than other studios but I don't have my cycle shoes on tour with me so I gladly paid. read more

While my daughter was a student at University of Oregon, every time I came to visit I would do a Star Cycle class with her. Beyond being a great and fun workout, it was an activity my daughter and I looked so forward to doing together. I was a little nervous because it was my first time at spin class, but everyone was so friendly and welcoming. StarCycle is my absolute favorite thing in Eugene. I literally cannot say enough about this studio. It has become a staple in my week and something I look forward to every day. Skyler's classes are my absolute favorite--she challenges us in different ways each class and has kickass music. Her positivity and encouragement during class takes it from just a workout to a fitness experience that makes you want to keep coming back. I love Reilly's classes too because her energy motivates the riders to give it our all and her spunkiness is unmatched. You really can't go wrong with any instructor here. I've been to a few StarCycle classes now, and while never having a poor experience, I also have not been wowed. Pros: **Studio room is clean and nicely set up. Towels are provided and they clean the bikes for you after each class **Offer bike shoe rental, for a small fee, if you don't own your own **Offer childcare services, for a fee **Free parking in the back of the building **Helpful, friendly staff. If you are new to studio cycling, I don't think you would feel intimidated here. Not-so-Pros: **No showers **Class format is always the same, at least of the 3 classes I've been to. Starcycle is absolutely and will forever be better than Soulcycle! I started at Soul so I should have a biased opinion but I don't, the community, the sense of place and the environment has grown on me so much that I have made the switch. This place rocks! I only get a chance to ride when I visit Eugene. I was able to ride with four different instructors, and even with the owner Julie. They all had great classes with awesome music. It really keeps you motivated to push. The equipment is first class with a filter water dispenser in the lobby. I like that they don't try and sale you a bottle of water. Probably 15 years or so since my last spin class. As an avid cyclist I always found them tedious and unrealistic to my needs. StarCycle however was an excellent workout in a good atmosphere led by an encouraging trainer. It was a fun, solid workout, and I could definitely see myself returning. read more
