Pat at PT Dynamix is awesome! It's rare you find a business that offers a true personal touch, but I could see myself grabbing a beer with Pat as easily as having him jam his elbow in my shoulder. I came in to see Pat because I had lingering pain across the entire left side of my torso. Pat has systematically worked his way through several problem areas, but my issue is somewhat like whack-a-mole, every time we make progress on one area a new issue presents itself. That being said, I've gone from being in constant pain to as close to normal as I've felt since November 2019. We've worked through a rib issue, an intercostal chest issue, a neck issue, and recently Pat found that my left lat was also very tight. While I was making good progress, after Pat worked on my lat I felt nearly 100%. Not only is Pat a great PT, I love how personable he is. He's always texting me about my progress and making sure things are going well. Pat is very good at keeping the conversation going and making me feel comfortable. I recently tweaked my neck/upper back from making a slight turning movement while at work. That immediately caused my neck/upper back muscles to tighten up and I was unable to move my neck. I reached out to Patrick the next day when I didn't see any improvement and was still very uncomfortable. He was very accommodating and able to see me that same day. This was my first PT treatment and was unsure of what to expect. Patrick was very knowledgeable and explained everything that he did and why. He made me feel comfortable and reassured me throughout the process that I wouldn't feel any pain or discomfort since that I was my main concern. Patrick has been working with both my husband and I during quarantine/lockdown with a variety of issues. Since therapy started during lockdown, and Patrick is a travelling PT, he has been coming to our home working with each of us in the garage area. He has COVID-19 safety precautions in place (he wears a mask, requires you wear one too, takes your temperature, wipes down the massage table and all other equipment he brings between use etc). He has been working with my husband with his knee injury (post-surgery) and has helped to strengthen his knee and hamstring muscles. I have had lower back pain on and off for years and he has been able to help eliminate it by showing proper posture and core muscle workout. He is also me helping with some neck and wrist pain. He demos and shares specific exercises to slowly strengthen each of my muscle pain issues and it has helped immensely. He is always pleasant and excited to share his knowledge of how body muscles/bones work together for proper body health and comfort. We recently got a spin bike and he went out of his way to make sure the seat/height is adjusted properly. I was in a car accident and as a result I experienced neck/back pain and my range of motion was quite limited. After experiencing muscle tightness in my leg that inhibited my ability to walk, I reached out to Dr. Toy and he was able to provide me immediate consultation via a video conference where he was able to diagnose the problem and let me know that I did not need to go to the emergency room as I was tempted to do. We scheduled a home visit for the next day which I received excellent care with a very personable touch. During this time of Covid-19 he made sure all equipment was wiped down before and after use. I have been struggling with my lower back pain for about a month. I went to chiropractor but that didnt help. My primary care physician recommended me to see a physical therapist. I found Patrick on Yelp with great reviews, and i requested an appointment to see him through Yelp. He immediately called me to see how I was doing with my pain, and luckily he could see me on Saturday, which was almost right away. On the first visit, he asked me a lot of questions to diagnose my pain, recommended a few easy exercises and stretching that can help my pain, and i even felt much better right after one hour session with him. It was amazing! My second visit, which was today, he checked if there was any progress after the first session. Today he taught me a few more stretching and exercises, which was a little bit more difficult than yesterday, but it REALLY helped my back. As a patient who has a kinesiology degree, I have high praise for Thao Martinez. I have been to many physical therapist but Thao is one of the top ones I have had. She cares deeply about her patients. She takes time to listen and explains things to me. Many physical therapists give exercises but Thao uses excellent manual physical therapy skills that release the overworked muscles (in the first part of the session )then she gives me rehabilitative exercises to work on my weak muscles. Her prescribed exercises are custom to what I am needing. Her attention to detail is amazing, she is able to spot any improper movement pattern such as using my back when I should be engaging my shoulders. She is able to adapt the exercises to properly target the muscles because of this, Thao has been able to find the root causes of complex my chronic physical issues I have had for years. Seeing her is also good for my mental health as, she encourages me when I am anxious and discouraged with my physical condition. Because of her excellent work ethic, expertise, and encouragement I have gotten physically better. She is an excellent physical therapist and I have no qualms in recommending her. read more

Based in the Renton/South Seattle area, he is extremely accommodating to his patients, offering to drive to your house if you are within the required mile radius. I needed work done on my possibly impinged or frozen shoulder, so I did a Google search looking for someone in the south end of Seattle, preferably with easy parking and good reviews! Found Patrick (he's pretty much the only PT in the south end before going all way to Renton/Kent) and shot off a treatment request. Quick response and easy communication via text, and reasonable wait time for first treatment (one week). Since COVID19 dropped, he's adapted his business and created a great workspace out of his garage in the Lakeridge neighborhood. Easy front door parking, very clean and well sanitized. I've now been seeing him for 9 months now (started weekly, now spaced out to monthly) and clearly I've been satisfied with the results! I was having severely limited ROM and intermittent shots of pain coming from the shoulder (basically whenever I bumped my arm or tried to reach too far). Treatments consist of therapeutic/localized massage, stretching and various ROM/ weight-bearing exercises, plus homework exercises and stretches. I'm probably 90% back to normal, but I might never stop seeing Patrick cause he's always open to treating any issues that might arise- here's hoping my golf game sees improvement too! read more

I woke up one morning with what felt like a Charlie horse in my right shoulder that lasted a week. Following this pain I had increased weakness in that shoulder which was negatively impacting my everyday life. As a registered nurse and former athlete this was very unsettling to me. I had a friend/co-worker refer me to Pat and his practice. I contacted him through Instagram and he immediately took me on as a patient. Not only was he thorough in the assessment of my shoulder, but he also walked me through the insurance(Cigna) claim process. He verified copay and everything! His services are beyond amazing! He gave me new workouts every week to help target shoulder strengthening. His online tools with workout guides specifically for me were extremely helpful. Due to covid, he is currently practicing in his garage which has heating and airflow and the full set-up that you would expect in a PT clinic. He spaces his patients adequately apart where I never crossed paths with another patient. I started seeing Dr Patrick Toy in August of 2019 after having non-weight bearing right leg for 2 months due to a closed femur fracture from a car accident. I had a long road to recovery, which started by having to put very small amounts of weight on it again and literally having to re-learn how to walk again. My wife found Dr. Patrick on Yelp and after reading countless 5 star raving reviews he was the obvious choice. He replied immediately via text messages and quickly set us up with an appointment to see me on a Sunday. He offered to either come to our home or set it up at his office. We opted to go to his office, he was extremely knowledgeable and personable. He helped me with my insurance and was extremely empathetic and helpful through the entire process. He is incredibly easy to talk to and so flexible with his schedule even though he's incredibly busy. He always makes an appointment time slot work with my work schedule. He also gave me recommendations regarding my situation with the car accident in regard to my insurance and lawyers. It's been about 10 weeks of physical therapy so far with Dr. Patrick and he continues to go above and beyond to make sure that I'm recovering well. Even though he is considered out of network for my insurance, he still makes the billing work to make sure I do not pay more than what an in network provider would charge. read more

Patrick Toy is a great, easily accessible resource for anyone seeking physical therapy, especially in South Seattle. A highly skilled, experienced physical therapist, Patrick sees patients in his home office on a quiet cul-de-sac in our community of Lakeridge. Referred by my primary care physician, I first went to Patrick for an injured shoulder. I couldn't lift my arm and was in pain. Over the course of several weeks, through his hands-on care and assigned exercises, my movement returned and the pain vanished. In the midst of this, I was so impressed that I immediately emailed him when I hurt my hip lifting a box. I knew he would tell me what movements would shorten my recovery time, rather than just resting my hip and applying ice or heat. It was so wonderful having him as a go-to nearby resource. This second injury occurred during the pandemic, so Patrick analyzed and prescribed exercises via telemedicine. As he had always done, he sent follow-up videos of the assigned exercises, but as an added help, at my request, I filmed Patrick with my iPhone, as he explained and demonstrated tools and exercises on my desktop screen. Thus Patrick became my exercise companion and personal trainer in my cell phone. When i first read reviews of Patrick's work, they sounded almost too positive. But I can vouch for others now. Patrick is a real find. He has worked with infants and past-100 seniors, and every age and condition in between. He listens. He has a wealth of knowledge about the human body. Amazingly perfect! I and my mom both in same car accident and suffered through back pain/ neck pain. My mom also got hurt her right leg and after about 6 hours of accident, she was not able to walk at all, for walking upstairs was terrible. I have hired the lawyer and she referred to me this physical therapist. I have tried one physical therapy in my past which was not very helpful so I asked her it has be very good since I don't want anyone to experiment my or my mom s body. Especially where you are so much in pain. I personally had a lot of back pain, neck pain and headaches so I had to try this out. Best thing about this PT is he could come at my place and do a treatment for me and my mom both together one after another. Dr Patrick build my trust on first visit and assure what pains me and my mom going through. He analyzed us and prescribed the exercise. However then covid 19, it was tough for me to meet up so he actually come up with face to face video which was still very helpful in a way to working on our treatment. In several weeks our health was very improving. My mom is the one I was worried most since I was the driver and she was the passenger plus she injured more. But after all this treatment, she is doing way better now! I am still taking treatment from him but I am so confident that I will be 100% within couple weeks. Prior to my wedding, if I stood, slept, or sat in the same position for an extended period of time, my lower back would ache and I would be in a great deal of pain moving around. I saw a Chiropractor for 11 visits and realized the pain was getting worst! A friend recommended I see Dr. Toy for Physical Therapy and after seeing him once, I felt so much better. He provided very specific massage and joint work to my back as well as he prescribed excercises for me to strengthen my core and back. When you have vertigo, driving can be an impossible feat, so I was stuck looking for someone who could travel to see me on a Saturday of all days. I saw Dr. Patrick for a right ankle sprain. I really thought I did something horribly wrong to it because it was incredibly painful to walk on it. I went in to see him and he performed a very thorough evaluation after asking a number of questions. I was amazed at how gentle yet progressive his touch was. I was never in more pain and with each passing minute I could feel my ankle getting better. Then as he had me perform some light movements with my ankle, he filled a large bucket with ice water. He told me to stand in there with only my right leg and for what seemed like an eternity, he did a number of ball throwing activities with me. He said the ice water would get between all the contours of the ankle and the ball throwing on one leg was to increase my balance. 6 minutes later I was walking with barely a noticeable limp. He checked on me in a few days and I reported I had already gone to work the day after I saw him. I followed up for one more visit and I was healed! I really can't believe the turnaround. The reviews he has almost seem too good to be true but Dr. Patrick is a caring provider and I have no hesitation recommending him to my family and friends.
