I really enjoy the phresh fruit tea. Its not too sweet and tastes like genuine fruit. However i was hugely dissatisfied with the service. The lady who was working here was giving me attitude and was very condescending. I asked her if the phresh cups were for sale and she responded like she was very stuck up. She needs to keep her attitude in check if shes going to provide service to customers. Dont think shes getting tips anytime soon. Big yikes. read more

Came to SB to visit my bestfriend, and she would constantly recommend Phresh to us. Came in to order a Pork Katsu bowl, Taro Milk Tea w/ Tapioca Boba, and a Mango Smoothie w/ Tapioca Boba. Not sure if they offer Non-Dairy subs for the drinks, totally forgot to ask, but the drinks were great nonetheless. The Pork Katsu had the perfect crunch and taste, and it paired well with the teriyaki sauce. read more

This boba place has became a local secret favorite among all my friends and I. Their fruity boba tastes so refreshing and delicious, I recommend the kumquat boba and passion fruit boba. They have a good selection of board games to keep plenty of people entertained, which is ultimately what my group of friends and I end up getting roped into and staying for an hour or so. Decent seating, average pricing but Overall a great place for secret and local boba. read more

I think this is the best place for boba in Santa Barbara. In other cities such as LA or SF, I'm pretty sure they would struggle with the competition, but since it's SB it is what it is. Honestly, this place is a hit or miss. Sometimes the drink will be pretty good, other days I'll just go "eh" I think if they were more consistent, especially on the way they prepare their boba they would earn 5 stars from me. Some days their boba will be mushy as hell other days it will be perfect. Also there is like a $10 minimum for card so bring cash if you don't want to be charged extra. The workers are pretty nice for the most part as well. This is my go to place for boba in SB. read more

This place is disgusting from service, to drinks, to cleanliness. We go to SB a few times a year, a few years ago, this place was so cute. Now it's a dump. Everything is dirty here, the floors a sticky, the pots, counters, tables look like they have not been cleaned for months. It's nice that they have games for you to play with but honestly. I'm scared to touch them after seeing the rest of the place. The floor is peeling from under the covered fridge case that no longer serve sweet treats and sopping wet in other places. We brought it to the worker's attention and she looked pissed and came out with a dirty mop that was already wet, so just swished and dragged it around the shop. Visible dirty trash behind the counter between the 2 restaurants. The girl in the counter was terrible. Ignored us for a long time. I walked up to the counter, waited and waited and finally ordered. No greeting no smiling, etc. probably can't fire her because no one wants to work. The sad part is that she knows it, and could give a crap...obviously from her demeanor. Knowing that life has been tough on businesses with Covid, I generally tip generously. And since you pay and tip on C when ordering, I gave a big tip. Totally regret it. She was beyond terrible. We got drinks and they were meh. Which I was expected, we are in SB, not LA. But when we found chunks of ice in our smoothies we brought it to the girl's attention. She was pissed...went from aloof to argumentative and defensive. It's called a SMOOTHie...not chunkie. Told us she can't make us another one for another 10-15 minutes. She's got other orders going on. We were waiting for food so, it was no big deal. We sat in down, played a couple of games and still no good. When I noticed the patron that was behind me in line earlier getting her food, I went back to the counter to check on my order which was 20-30 min since we ordered. There was obviously other takeout packages on the counter. But when I went up with my receipt to ask about my order, the girl didn't even look at my receipt or me, and just told me it's not ready, I asked her for about how much longer (honestly, 30 minutes for popcorn chicken is hard to believe). She dismissed me with, a disgruntled IDK and no eye contact and walked off. Luckily another lady came up ask asked if she could help me. And she immediately looked at my receipt and knew that the bags sitting on the counter for God knows how long was mine. Annoyed at this point that we waited so long inside and she never called out our order and flatly lied to me when my food is right there waiting and getting cold. What a b*! If you hate the job so much, leave. Gotta say the food was decent for SB. But seriously I felt like I was paying for punishment from this chick and the poor hygiene of the place. Never again will I come here even it's the last boba place in California. Sorry but something needs to change with this place. read more

Ordered two drinks (the Hokkaido Milk Tea and Matcha Green Tea) and both were unpleasant. The Hokkaido one tasted oddly artificial and almost like coffee creamer. The matcha was super bitter and not sweet at all (I asked for 75% for both) I'm not a local so I'm just comparing this place to the boba spots in my area of S. California. This might be the best you can get here in Santa Barbara which is a missed opportunity :( read more

Love their teas a lot, every time I got out of work and wanted something feel refreshed or calm I would always stop by before they closed since I would always get out of work half an hour before they closed and they opened half an hour before I started work. They used to have a hibiscus drink which a lot of places make it super bitter but this place left me speechless, theirs was fantastic and most amazing hibiscus I had ever tasted; but sadly they no longer have it. I would always recommend this place to my co-workers which are more tech savvy and social butterflies compared to me and never had heard of the existence of this amazing place. They always felt jealous when they would see me walk in especially with the Phresh Fruit tea which always catches people's attention do to that it has fresh fruit in it. read more

Pretty disappointed! First off the milk tea is super expensive!! A large cost $8! I was so shocked, it's more expensive than L.A. and Santa Barbara! Also the cashier didn't understand English well which made it difficult. It shouldn't cost $8 for a drink when you can buy food for less. read more

I love this place but today I ordered a Thai iced tea with boba and it wasn't sweet enough. It tasted like I was drinking milk so I asked to get it fixed and one of the employees said she couldn't make it sweeter because it's already made a certain way? Also, she was FaceTiming while working... Anyway usually the drink is sweeter and they have no problem with fixing my drink if I ever need them to but today they didn't care. I came to Phresh on a week day night to study since it closed at 9:30, which is late for Goleta! I got the Ube milk tea and my boyfriend got the regular phresh milk tea. It was one of the best milk teas I've gotten in the area. They let us sample a few of their teas since we've never been before. Their fruity tea was delicious and not too sweet. They use real tea and it reminded me of the boba chain Cocos in LA. I think they use the Nescafé in combination with the tea. My drink was tasty, but it didn't really have an ube flavor. It tasted pretty similar to my boyfriends plain milk tea and had the right amount of sweetness. Their egg pudding was soft and not very sweet. Overall the quality of the drink was pretty standard for the area. The ambiance was nice. They have good furniture, but it was a bit messy. Part of the store looked like someone lived there, as there were vitamins out, butane cans, and papers. However, the tables I studied on were otherwise, clean. I am convinced most of these reviews are from employees... so I'm from the Bay- I know boba. I have a trained palate! I was very excited about this place, hoping that we finally have a good boba place in SB/Goleta... too bad it was mediocre at best. I had the classic milk tea with boba. The boba was not good- squishy like it's falling apart, not much flavor in it either. The milk tea seemed watery, and not much different from the other boba shops around here... I also tried their popcorn chicken, which was better, but extremely salty and you can also taste some sugar to it. Overall, just another bad Santa Barbara boba shop. Edit: tried this place again and still same opinion... for $5.92 for a regular black milk tea with boba... pretty pricey for mediocre boba :( read more

Decided to give this place a try after my dinner since it was right next door to Uniboil! Coming from the 626 in LA, where I'm literally surrounded by amazing boba places, Phresh definitely is up to par with the boba from back home. I decided to try one of their new drinks, passionfruit paradise with lychee jelly while my boyfriend got his all-time favorite, mango milk with boba and lychee jelly. I was pleasantly surprised upon my first sip. It was soooo refreshing, perfect for a hot summer night! I tried my boyfriends and his drink was not bad either! The boba seemed to be freshly cooked since it was still warm and super soft and chewy. I loved the little mango bits in his drink and I probably drank half of his after finishing mine! I would say that the passionfruit paradise was a bit too sweet for my liking, so for those who enjoy a simpler taste, I would opt for a 75% sweetness instead. The workers there are super friendly and asked if I wanted to adjust the sweetness or ice level! Loved how considerate and helpful they were, definitely made my experience so much better! Considering how there are barely any quality boba places here in Santa Barbara, Phresh is most definitely my top go-to place if I'm ever craving delicious boba :D read more

One of the best places for boba in Goleta. If you compare it to other boba places in predominately Asian areas, it's not as great. However, there are a good amount of great snack options, uniboil is right next door and serves amazing food, and the management is hands-down the best in ALL of Santa Barbara county. I have received discounts and free food just for EXISTING and Sophie genuinely cares about the quality of the food and the experiences of the customers. I have never been more pleased by customer service IN MY LIFE. If you need a pick-me-up, a pleasing snack, or a quick drink, Phresh is the place to go! read more

Ordered Taro milk tea and Hakkaido milk tea. Very powdery. Feels like it's not made of tea and milk at all, they use instant powder( and tastes worse than those you bought from Asian supermarket). Will never buy again. read more
