Found this place thanks to a recommendation from a friend and while I was completely surprised to find delicious Vietnamese food in West Kendall, I have to say I was a little disappointed with the limited options they have of Pho. They only carry four Pho options, all with meat. If you're a meat lover then this will be no problem for you, but personally I would really like to see them add a vegetarian or vegan option. Aside from that everything else was great! The staff is very kind and always checks in to see if you need anything. They have outdoor seating for those who don't feel comfortable eating inside and overall do a great job following Covid-19 rules. read more

Visited 5/14/21 @5:30pm Watch out! They lack ethics. They tacked on a merchant fee. They charged $1.00 more for entrees than per menu with no advance warning. Their recommended tip included a tip on sales tax. I smelled the Pho others eating outside. Smelled delicious! I tried several fried appetizers. I liked the fried shrimp and Gyoza type dumplings. I liked the dumplings in their wonton soup and the soup. However did not enjoy the fried eggroll. Their sauces are good. The Korean BBQ beef was good but not to die for. The pickled jicama and carrots were delightful. I may not go back due to their ethics but if I do I will order the Pho. One last comment. They played loud current music in the restaurant. I do like current music but I for one would prefer Vietnamese music atmosphere in a Vietnamese restaurant. I wonder how the majority feels about this. Maybe I am in the minority. Ok so I've been trying bun bo hue at every Vietnamese restaurant ever since I first tried it in buffalo ny in 2018 at an authentic Vietnamese restaurant. Hands down this place competes with it. The spice is right, the beef is tasty, and noodles are perfection. My waiter, I forgot his name, was very attentive and down to earth. He said he was from Cali. I used to love this cool little spot. The food is really good here. However, I took my mother out for a late lunch a few hours earlier, and now I'll never go back. I found a very long hair in my tofu dish about three bites in. I immediately stopped and let my server know. They didn't charge me for my dish, but my mother also lost her appetite due to the said hair I found in my dish. We didn't find any in her dish, but it was enough to make her stop eating as well. When something like this happens, and no one eats what they ordered, there shouldn't be a charge at all. I feel bad for the servers. They were really welcoming and attentive, and the two that helped me were very apologetic about the issue with my food. While paying for my mother's dish that she did not consume, I let them know that they were great servers, but I would not be tipping as I was being charged $30 for the 2 sodas and the appetizer we did have. The owners or managers just stood all the way back and did not approach our table to apologize or anything of the sort. As someone who has worked many years in the kitchen/restaurant, there are safety precautions that can be taken to minimize these things. A hair net would possibly help in this situation. The picture I have provided is the picture of my mothers dish, and as you can see it is virtually untouched except for one small corner of her plate. A few bites. I understand that these things happen, but the problem is with the way in which it was handled, not even so much the measly $30 spent on 2 sodas and an appetizer, It's the principle. Sad to say, we will not be dining here ever again, due to the 5-6 inch long hair in my plate. Completely unprofessional. The food can be good, but if your service, is not at least half as good as the food, you won't be around too long. Especially with matters like these in these Covid ridden times. On our third trip there we ordered the shrimp fried rice. It looked nothing like the menu's picture. Tasteless rice and without peas ( guess they ran out). The shrimp was deep fried and placed on top of soy colored rice. Disappointing. We also ordered shrimp wonton soup which had way too much salt in the broth. After asking our waiter to change it or bring us some broth that was not so salty he said they couldn't do it . He also said not to worry about it and took it away from the table. We had our regular pho soup also which was good. Paying by credit means you have to actually go to the counter to pay. So i did. I had to ask for a copy of the receipt as i wanted to check if I was charged for the soup we never ate. Sure enough it was there. I immediately called the co owner over to have it removed and he was reluctant at first and proceeded to show me an " all sales final" sign taped to the counter top. ( which is very unsual for a restaurant). I told him i wasn't going to pay for it and he decided to remove the charge, stating that he'll do it this time ( with the attitude that he was doing me a favor). I asked him if he or the waiter had tasted the broth from the kitchen after our complaint and he said it tasted ok to him but noted that when the soup is near to the bottom it will get salty as the liquid evaporates. ( putting doubt to what he had said). Note an ( all sales final) sign does not apply to a faulty product. What could have been an easy fix by simply changing the broth turned out to be a disappointing visit. Last but not least is that sign has no place in a restaurant. read more

My husband and I live around the area and had seen the sign for this restaurant a few times. We decided to try it. The Pho here is very flavorful. We all know Pho is about the taste/flavor of broth and it is very tasty. Growing up, I've always loved my grandmas Pho and considering that I am not able to have hers anymore, this is a great option. Was craving a nice bowl of pho while on vacation and this was one of the only few restaurants that stood out to me due to its rating and vicinity. As a Vietnamese person born and currently living in California, I grew up eating pho pretty often whether it be homemade or at a hole in the wall restaurant. I came in not expecting much especially since Miami doesn't have a high Asian population but this was just VERY disappointing. For starters a bowl of Pho Tastic (Pho Dac Biet) will run you $20 which is an insane price considering there are cheaper places nearby. Never in my life have I seen a bowl of pho cost that much. The meat and toppings were pretty standard. The meat also tasted pretty good hence the 2 star rating. However it was lacking in quantity especially for the price. There wasn't much meat in my order. It also came with little to no garnish (cilantro, green onion). Now, the most important part of a good bowl of pho IS the broth. This broth was VERY VERY watery. It was like they just boiled beef bones with no seasoning or aromatics! It genuinely tasted like bland beef water... I tried to give it more flavor adding condiments such as sriracha and hoisin sauce to no avail. I dumped out everything after a few bites. I'd suggest that you save your money and go somewhere else. read more
