Bestie finally took me to this busy spot and I can see why. The pho is the hit here but who knew it could come it different sizes. The choices are still all good choices and can suit anyone's dietary needs mostly. We started with the eggrolls but I found them a little.ocercooked and dry but the Thai tea made up for it and the medium sized pho was still enough to take home. All in all great spot for some good pho and tea. Warm bellies are happy bellies.

This was my first time trying Pho, and it was interesting to say the least. There was an odd smell in the location, and the presentation was simple. I did not like the flavor and texture of the noodles. The service felt rushed.

Prefer the other location. It was fine but wouldn't come back here. I've been to the other location 3x and I think the food was better there. Service was quick and good though.

Best Bun Bo Hue! Very authentic with an option to have it with pork feet and pork blood. So so good! Family owned and run. Service was quick and a great option if you need to be in and out and also want a hearty meal. Drooling writing this and was lucky to have had a home cooked meal. Free parking and plenty spaces available!

The #32 Pho was delicious as well as the shrimp spring rolls. The service was great and the place was nice. I like to come here when I feel like eating Vietnamese. If is my first choice nice ambient, music and service.

Monday late lunch. The restaurant has booths and tables and decor is minimal. You come here to eat and get out. Zero ambiance. The service was good and the meal was served promptly. The #31 beef pho medium was very good. Plenty of thin rare beef slices and lots of thin noodles. The broth was delicious. The seafood pho broth tasted like dishwater and only contained one shrimp in the medium size. The mini eggrolls were ok but a little dry. They don't have hot black tea but they have a variety of other teas. All are around $7 which I think is a little expensive. Actually, the prices were pretty steep on everything. For two phos, mini eggrolls and 2 spring rolls and no drinks the bill was $60 without tip. So be prepared to dish out $. I would return for the beef pho.

I've been coming to this location for about 5 years. Unfortunately it got the hype and the prices for the pho bowls went up (but understandably). #35 is my go to and i always order the shrimp rolls to top off my experience i leave with a boba taro in my hand. For two people it's about $70 but you can never go wrong with this place

This place has been open for many years. Food is always delicious here.. it was my go to my college days and whenever I'm in the area. Great sick, hungover, or feeling great day! I always get the Pho with everything in it. Service is always attentive and caring. It's a cool place for lunch break, solo date, or a date :)

i loveee this place it's my go-to soup place i SWEAR this place heals me. I usually get the small 30, extra limes, and the grilled tofu to start. I've been here probably over 10 times and I have never had a complaint, you walk in and they tell you where to sit, they have virtual and physical menus, someone comes up with a lil tablet and boom you'll get your food in like 5 mins 10 max. they also have sauces to make the pho to your liking, it's very sit and go kind of environment but i have brought my airpods and watched videos while eating my soup and had the best time ever, i highly recommend. they also have a tea place right next door called tea 305 with bombbbb flavors.

Solid place for good Pho! Everything tastes authentic and the broths are delicious. Service is ok, and the place looks like what you think a Vietnamese mom and pops restaurant would look like, nothing super amazing but good. It smelled like delicious food was being served the moment you stepped in. Definitely a place to come if you want pho! Will be coming back!

I was really excited to try this place, but unfortunately, it was a huge letdown. The food was overpriced for what it was and didn't even come close to tasting authentic. As someone who loves traditional Vietnamese food, I was expecting bold, fresh flavors, but everything felt watered down and lacked the richness I'm used to. For the price, I expected a much higher standard, but I left feeling unsatisfied and disappointed. It's definitely not the place to go if you're looking for a true taste of Vietnam. Definitely won't be coming back. The Vietnamese employee was very nice though I like him.

Pho 79 is one of my go-to spots for authentic Vietnamese food. The place is spacious with plenty of seating, so you're almost always able to get a table without much of a wait. The staff is friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. I always order #30, and it never disappoints. The broth is rich, flavorful, and comforting--delicious on its own, but I like to add a little sriracha to give it a kick. It actually tastes like real, authentic pho, which is hard to find sometimes. Highly recommend if you're craving a solid bowl of noodles!

Have they finally pick food delivery company yet?

Yes we use UberEats, DoorDash, and GrubHub for delivery and takeout.

Do they serve vegan banh mi sandwiches? With tofu?

I do not think so. But Banh mi cafe in Stirling does.

Do they offer any FIU discounts?

We thinking about that on nearest future, during this Covid season , we tried server our best even the cost of suppliers higher than normal.

    Do they deliver?

Thru Postmates only, but my delivery fee came up to the same price as the food, so i was disappointed.

Will Pho 79 consider opening a 3rd location further south?

it would be a great thing considering I frequented their locations to the north prior to opening Miami FIU. but this question is something the ownership of pho79 can answer

    Do you guys deliver?

    I highly doubt it.

Is the vegetarian pho vegan? Curious about the type of broth that is used?

I called and asked about this and they told me it's veggie broth so it's vegan! I haven't gone to try it yet but I definitely will!

Are the noodles for the vegetarian pho made with egg?

Pho noodles are made out of rice flour usually. No egg.

Is this owned/operated by the same family that opened Pho 79 in Davie?

    Yes

Dan Dan noodles had so much flavor, chili beef dumplings were thick and juicy, and the pork and shrimp dumplings were cooked perfectly. However when my fiance asked for a check all we got was one of the handheld devices with the total. I thought it was strange when the server said tipping was optional after the tap, and the options were 1%, 3%, and 5%. Since the food and service were great, I wanted to tip 15%, so I changed it to a custom value and did my own math. However when I got my printed receipt, there was a 20% service fee, plus my custom tip of 15%. Being from LA, when restaurants have the mandatory service fee, they usually tell you at the host stand or after you just sat down. I felt like this place was shady although it is in their fine print on their menu. What the server could have done is said "service fee is already included," after the tap, not "tipping is optional." I did like the service, but the 35% tip was not well deserved. I didn't feel like they went above and beyond and like I said, there's a special type of mannerism that I feel was a huge miss about the service fee, which could of been handled more professionally.

I had the tofu, fried oyster mushrooms and the green curry with shrimp. Everything came out fast and was delicious. It's definitely not the best Thai food I've ever had but I loved the service, the vibe and it fulfilled my Thai craving. This is on a busy street (street parking) and the music is quite loud inside (not conducive to having a conversation). The beef was perfectly stewed and seasoned...easily the highlight of the visit * Basil duck (9/10): Fresh, crispy, and paired beautifully with the basil. Super flavorful * Fried rice (5/10): Not my favorite, but still decent overall * Pad Thai (7/10): Tasty and satisfying, just not particularly unique compared to others I've had * Passion fruit sake: Perfect balance between the sake and the sweetness of the passion fruit. We went on a Saturday night and were initially told it would be about a 40-minute wait. They let us grab beers while we waited, and we ended up being seated in about 20-25 minutes, which was a nice surprise. Service was attentive throughout. Our water was constantly refilled and plates were cleared promptly. Overall, an exceptional and vibrant experience. Already looking forward to coming back!

A month ago I wanted to go again and remembered that there was more than one location. Came to find out one closer to me situated across FIU on 107th ave. All of the sudden the 107 in the name made sense. I asked if that location was the 'OG', and they confirmed it was and hence the seemingly random name. Service was good. There's a mix of regular folks and students (both servers and dining), which ensures pricing remains reasonable in order to cater to student budgets. I found pricing to be the same at both locations. I ordered the same Mama Pork Fried rice with an extra of shrimp, and I have to say, it was just as delicious as the Gables restaurant. I went again just yesterday, and food was just as delicious. I can't bring myself to order any other dish because it's so delicious. Dish flavor, look and texture are consistent too, not just within the same restaurant, but at least across those two locations I've visited, and I've attended twice to both locations ordering the same fried rice - it is always 'identically delicious'. I tried my friend's dishes, and they were all good, and while they wouldn't be my choice, they were all yummy. Their dishes tend to be a bit on the gooey side, but I love that, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I found my new favorite Chinese restaurant. The ambience is basic, but definitely a more elevated look than that of your typical Chinese restaurant. I highly recommend

Rating: 5.0 Been a…read morehuge fan of the Iron Chef show since I was a kid and my favorite has aways been the Japanese Chef Masaharu Morimoto! And since experiencing his Disney Springs restaurant Morimoto Asia, I had been looking forward for him to come to Miami. This was a couple of years back during the cooler season in Miami. RESTAURANT: I just know that this location is going to be beautiful. Chef Morimoto restaurants are worldwide and so I was not disappointed to see how beautiful this restaurant was and how perfectly complemented the vibe of the Wynwood scene. The restaurant doors open to the street, which was perfect during our winter visit. Inside is an open floor plan with a variety of seating options from the izakaya style table, banquet dining against the wall, to the huge bar. There are even covered seating outside that reminded me of New York. Decor is both minimal but with burst of colors with his signature wall art and backlit panels against the wall. And ofcourse, it won't be an authentic Japanese restaurant without the a display of hyper-realistic food models which can be found as soon as you enter the restaurant to entice your taste buds. Everything just looked sleaked and clean and love the pop of green from the huge fig trees. SERVICE: Service was amazing. From the moment we entered, we were greeted and seated right away for our reservation. Our server answered all of our questions and suggested some fruity cocktails. And lo and behold, owner Chef Morimoto himself presented us with our food and torched it right infront of us! He was so polite and humble and wonderful. We watched him moved from one side of the restaurant to the other with the endurance of a guy in his 20s and he's like 60 something! He did not stop. It was such a treat to have him in our table and how he indulged us when we chanted "Iron Chef! Iron Chef!". It was an amazing experience. FOOD: The menu have the right amount of options, from finger food to ramen, sushi and not to mention the drinks. For starters, pork belly and soft shell crab bao and bbq ribs. Deliciousness! The buns warm and pillowy. The pork, so tender. But that soft shell crab...that made me want to slap someone it was so good. Flavorful, no fishiness whatsoever, crunch on the outside and just happiness on the inside. I will eat a million of these. Then my friend ordered some Yakitori fresh from the grill: chicken, pork belly, shrimp, wagyu. They were simple, fresh and so fingerlicking good. Then the ramen; tonkotsu and gyukotsu. On this cold evening, it was exactly what we needed. These two huge bowls we passed around our table of six. The broth were divine! The pork belly was so delicate that it melts in your mouth. The beef falling off the bones were so tender and delicious. Sushi rolls: spider roll and the surf and turf. The spider roll with that soft shell crab was bomb. But the that A5 wagyu surf and turf was the star of the show. It comes out as raw slices on a roll and Chef Morimoto came out and torched it himself next to our table! I don't know if it tasted spectacular because it's wagyu or because the chef himself had torched it but this was my favorite! Overall, this was the most memorable dining experience I've had in a long time. I am sure that fangirling over the Iron Chef was the main reason but it seems that everything just fell into place for us that evening. Parking was literally next door in the garage, super easy no drama. Service was next level, maybe because the boss was there but we were not going to complain. And the food, impeccable! Pricepoint is just reasonable considering the quality, quantity and the location. It is definitely worth the trip coming here and I can't wait to visit again soon to see if everything will be the same without the Chef Morimoto around. I have a feeling it will be just as wonderful.
