I highly recommend Phone Medic on North Avenue in GJ for your cell phone & tablet repairs! On the day I was there, Mitch was amazing. He worked solo for the several hours I was around & although things were really hopping, he was always polite, professional, and proficient. He replaced the screens on both of my iPhones, and did the written assessment required by my cell phone insurance company for one. (If only the insurance claim were settled as quickly as the phone was fixed, right?!) Mitch patiently answered several phone inquiries because T-Mobile service was inexplicably down for several hours. He patiently and thoroughly answered questions from Phone Medic customers, both over the phone and in person. He helped me find the phone cases I wanted and even upsold me on the bulletproof screen protectors which were on sale at BOGO 1/2 off. (This was kinda something as I am not normally able or willing to pay retail prices.) More recently I returned to Phone Medic twice - once to have the screen protector replaced and a second time to have the screen of an old iPad replaced. (Yeah, I drop stuff.) Great, friendly service both times. Very happy with their service! read more

Warning SCAM!!!!Took my phone for a screen repair and the guy at the counter said it would be $350 I signed a blank agreement that he was to do the repair . when I came to pick up the phone the agreement I Signed he had wrote $450 on it. And they then refused to acknowledge they made a mistake by the guy when I brought in the phone and would not give me my phone unless I paid The inflated price I never agreed too. Complete scam with bait and switch told me one price and refused to give him my phone unless I paid them more. The police will be notified. read more

I took my iPhone in on 5/02/25 with it overheating and short charge issues. Even though the battery showed 91%, they recommended that I replace the battery. They told me that a low battery could cause these issues and that you can't always trust what your battery reading says in Settings. I agreed and paid the $108 (with cash discount) for the new battery, which by the way was NOT an Apple battery. Forward fast 2 weeks later and issues weren't getting better. I returned to the store to exchange the battery , but was told that they didn't have any in stock and it would take two hours to get one in. So, I simply asked, "Well wouldn't it be easier and faster for me to go to the Mesa Mall location?" They said, "Well, we'll have to call them again to see if anyone is available to do repairs." All I could think was, "That makes no sense because that's exactly what their sign says.".......... I then went to the Mall location to exchange the battery. They said it would be an hour. Ok, but it took them 90 minutes. I showed up after the hour had passed. The two men working helped other customers while I was waiting for my phone. I spent 30 minutes in the store waiting for them simply to put everything back together (which literally took all of 15-20 seconds). So, why did I have to wait an extra 30 minutes?........who really knows. Still experienced the same issues. Took it to GJ Tech Repair. He looked at the interior of the phone. Guess what?!!!? IT WAS NEVER A BATTERY ISSUE. The mother board was starting to go.......HMMMMM. Now I'm out the $108 spent on a battery that was never needed and a lot of wasted time as well. Of course, there's no refund available for this, just a 30 exchange option. I will NEVER GO BACK TO THESE GUYS. Someone could have taken some time to inspect this phone, but they didn't. They blamed it on the battery without even considering some other issue. NOT IMPRESSED AND VERY ANGRY THAT I WASTED GOOD MONEY ON THIS RIDICULOUS EFFORT. I will share this experience with all of my friends and family. Thank you Phone Medic for an unnecessary and expensive lesson. read more

North Ave. location. Waited two weeks for a camera screen protector. Went in to ask how much longer it might be and he didn't know but he could call someone and ask. Couldn't reach whoever he called. I asked about a refund of my $30 deposit and he said they keep $10 for a cancellation fee. Feel very ripped off and mad. read more

Will break other parts of your phone while doing a simple battery replacement and not service it. Highly suspect it is intentional with the way the employee acted on 12/18/24. Do not recommend at all ever under any circumstance. This business is a scam. read more

Was overcharged for used IPhone 8 with terrible battery lifespan. Took the phone back with receipt explaining the problem. Instead of being a reputable business and fixing the problem as a professional courtsey they took it as an opportunity to overcharge for more services. . . Good place to go if you're in the mood to get scammed read more

my daughter brought her iPad in for a battery replacement. Since we were helping her pay for it, she let me know it was $110 up front and another $50-$60 if it was a battery. When they called and said it was ready, the bill was more than she had told me. Very upset, I contacted the store. The manager, Allen, called me back and through conversation, found out there had been miscommunication on both sides. He took care of the battery charge, was very kind and apologetic. Not only will I recommend them to everyone, they now have a faithful customer. I'll drive the hour there to have our electronics serviced. read more

I've now had two stellar experiences with these guys and would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone in the area who needs a phone repaired. I had both my screen and my battery replaced by Alan and Melanie, and I have nothing but good things to say about them. My phone was repaired quickly and they provided me with a clear warranty and receipt just in case I ever have an issue. Would give 6/5 stars if I could :) read more

I had to take my iPad back twice and it still was not sealed all the way screen was dirty and had adhesive on it

Horrible service. BUYER BEWARE. I needed a screen due to my phone not working. Took to them and asked for them to look at it put a new screen in it began to overheat. Took it back to them and then called and said the motherboard was fried. I asked for a refund they said they would have to take the screen off so when I went back they told me no because it was damaged. Liars and thieves poor service!!! read more

The staff at Phone Medic are amazing. In less than 5 minutes they informed me that my IPAD could indeed be repaired despite being told at the Apple Store that it would need to be replaced. I dropped off the iPad at Phone Medic without an appointment just before closing. The techs stayed late in an attempt to make the repair that night knowing we live an hour from Grand Junction. They went out of their way to see that our needs were met and that we were satisfied. We are beyond pleased and highly recommended their services. Will not hesitate to use Phone Medic again in the future!! read more

Cracked the back glass of my iPhone and went to the mall location they fixed it no problem but in the process they got glue under one of the camera lenses so I went to get it replaced and they did with no charge but it did not fix the issues with my camera. I then went to the North Ave location and they told me I needed a whole new camera. I read the warranty and in reading it thought they would cover the cost as it was their mistake but I was told that since the camera lense was replaced and not the whole camera they would not pay for it. $162 later I got a call that the new camera was in so I went to get drop off my phone only to find out the person who was going to fix it was leaving for the day and no one mentioned it when I confirmed I was coming in after work. I dropped my phone off the next day only to come back and be told they ordered the wrong camera! They ordered the new one and it took a week for me to get a call that they had received it. Finally after the fifth visit and almost $300 later my camera is back to normal. read more

I don't know why Yelp is not making this easier to find. The store was top notch, simple straight forward and provided precisely what I needed. They have obviously done their homework, and I was not faced with trying to pick from 100 options. The screen protector, the case and installation. Very fair prices. read more

Not a great place to get your phone repaired. Not recommend. Your better off just getting a brand new one.

Bad place to do business. They will not fix your phone unless you have a receipt. Went in months later to get my screen protector fixed and was told if you don't have a receipt they won't do anything for you, they won't even look you up in the system. Lady that was at desk was very rude,so I left. I will never do business again with them. read more

FANTASTIC SERVICE and OUTSTANDING ASSISTANCE today fixing my dinosaur iphone today immediately upon walking in the door. I thought it was broken completely and forever (the SimplyMac store suggested I go there because they couldn't resolve the issue in a quick and easy manner) - and I was delighted and so grateful to find that it was quite simple (Apple Care couldn't help me and would only send me to an 'Authorized Apple Dealer' when Phone Medic was the perfect solution. The manager, Jeremy, is absolutely ideally suited for his job: he didn't make me feel like the techie dummie that I am, he showed me everything he was doing and performed what I considered to be a miracle in the 'here and now'. He is a very humble technological genius and treated me with compassion and respect... I couldn't have been more pleased after an agonizing and frightening experience of having a broken phone. read more
