They cleaned it off, checked my battery and confirmed it was in good shape, then added a red sealant to reduce the chance of corrosion again! And best of all- they did all this for free! 10/10! In early July I traveled through Grand Junction. I discovered that my rechargeable flashlight wasn't holding a charge and stopped by Batteries Plus Bulbs for help. A gentleman named Dave assisted me with great enthusiasm, humor, knowledge and patience. First he pointed out that the charger was broken (I hadn't noticed) and sold me a new one at a very reasonable price. He and his coworkers then tested the flashlight battery to confirm it was holding a charge. The other gentlemen who worked there had impressive beards and demeanors...very pleasant and helpful. I've had good experiences here before, but today when I had my iphone battery replaced. I asked the young fellow what the estimated price would be before he replaced the battery. He said, '$69.99 with tax'. When I came back a different guy rang me up for $75+, so I questioned the cost saying that the first guy had said 69.99 including tax. (there wasn't any other charge for unexpected problems). A guy, I guess the manager asked who told me that.. I said a young guy.. he got him and the fellow said the same, '69.99 with tax' so I said "with" to me means including. The manager said, (snarkly) you have to pay tax on everything. I said, I understand that, but "with" means including, but pulled out my card and paid. While doing that, it seemed like the manager was staring me down, so I asked what else? He said, ' I'm looking at that other screen and you're not on my radar anymore, buddy!'. Again, like I'm the jerk here for questioning the original estimated price. I replied, buddy? finished and left. Two stars because of manager's attitude about 'you have to pay tax on everything' as well as the "Buddy" thing... I'm not his buddy and I'd think a bit more respect. Second, to me "with" means including. If I order a baked potato at a restaurant and ask if it comes 'with' butter, chives, sour cream and I'm told, yes; then the potato includes butter, chives, and sour cream. A better way of handling this would be, 'I'm sorry the clerk said it that way and I understand how you might have misunderstand the original estimated price. I'll talk with him and maybe he should have said 69.99 plus tax. Are you OK with that?' And then not appear to glare at me and use a term (Buddy) I'd take as dismissive. A lot more - the customer is always right - would have made this into a five star review and I'd still be recommending Batteries+ to friends. read more

We visited Batteries Plus on 25 Road in Grand Junction to have a battery replaced in a key fob. The employee returned the fob after approximately 15 minutes and stated that he had to use electrical tape to fix the fob as it had broke while he was replacing the battery. We told him that electrical tape was not acceptable. He broke the fob and needed to replace it. He and other employees from the store became rude and denied they broke it, that stated "it broke while they were replacing the battery". the reiterated this several times and we're adamant that they didn't break it... it just broke while they were working on it. They finally offered to have it replaced. They stated they would call the company they use and have them contact us. They gave us a business card for the company and said that we would here from them at the beginning of the week. It has been several weeks. We have heard nothing from the business or Batteries Plus. We called the company on the card. They state they have worked with Batteries Plus in the past but have not been contacted by Batteries Plus recently and are not aware of the issue with our fob. Batteries Plus did not take responsibility for the fob breaking while they working on it and are adamant that fobs just break. They believe electrical tape is an acceptable remedy to repair customers property that has been damaged while they are working on it. read more

This is for iPhone repairs. I've had 2 screens replaced and 2 batteries on iPhone 6 and 6 plus. The first screen replacement was ok, the home button was very loose but they fixed it. When they replaced the battery on my 6 Plus before presidents weekend the tech broke a cable that took out the lock button and the flash. So I was without the lock button and led for 5 days during a vacation. Each repair took over an hour and now my home button is loose too. I asked for a discount because of the extra time and BS and was told NO. I feel like I've paid them $300 to train their technicians and they still do a poor job. read more

I wouldn't bring my phone in for repair had I known what I would experience. I suggest you avoid doing the same. It seems others have had issues with their phone repair and I wish I had checked here before bringing my phone to this business. I brought my Iphone 6 in for repair. I had to bring the phone back multiple times that day as there were white "pressure" spots in the screen from a poorly done repair. Upon my return the antenna strip to my phone had been broken and was missing. The staff offered no resolution and took no responsibility to an obvious mistake repairing the phone. When I protested the manager abruptly escalated the interaction by yelling from behind the counter. He gave me a number to contact and alluded that I could complain as much as I wanted and it would do not good. There is now a hole in my phone where the antenna was broken off and I still have white spots on the screen. No resolution was given by the corporate customer service. The franchise owner was said to be informed of the issue but has not contacted me. It seems that the manager was correct. If you complain about poor work and damage done to your property you will not be heard. read more

Warning! DO NOT USE THESE GUYS TO REPLACE WATCH OR CLOCK BATTERIES unless you want an excuse to spend money to buy a new one. These guys have broken and rendered useless 2 watches and clocks of mine within the last year! Last winter they ruined my favorite Timex watch when replacing the battery (come on, really?!) and yesteday they ruined my treasured handlebar mounted clock for my motorcycle. Now they've made me angry. This clock always works absolutely perfectly after Armato's Watch and Clock Repair in Lakewood has changed its battery the last several years -but these guys broke the stem rendering it useless in 5 minutes! Do not EVER take your phone to Batteries Plus for any reason! I took our youngest daughter's phone in for a new battery. It was working perfectly! When we got home It stopped working. The battery had swelled and cracked the case. They were unable to fix it. It's never worked again and they blamed it on a software issue. I gave them the benefit of the doubt thinking it was a bum battery. I took our oldest daughter's phone in for a screen replacement. It was working perfectly! I got a call saying the charge port was bad. Funny, I said, it was working when I brought the phone in. Immediately after picking it up it started getting hot and restarting over and over again. Took the phones to a phone repair business. Both phones are unrepairable. They said a good percentage of their business comes from people who went to Batteries Plus. I was really nice to them through this whole process, but I am very upset at their incompetence. At this point I wouldn't even take an alarm clock in for a new battery! Lesson learned!
