If they had a seating area with magazines and coffee I would probably buy something every visit. I like looking at all the tools and objects that I don't know what they are for and will probably never use. I bought a spud wrench once. And during Covid I bought a face shield. I had intended to turn it into a Halloween mask. Ended up giving it to an emergency room nurse. I need a flashlight. Need to go back. There is a hardware store one minute from my house but they have a sign that says "We Say Merry Christmas." It's June and I'm a smart-mouth so ... Hope this helps.

I prefer mom and pop shops to chain stores. Sometimes it's a bit busy in there, but you do get very personalized attention. I took 2 lamps to be repaired there and they charged me only $20 apiece. I also took a chandelier to have some work done and get cleaned up, and they did a beautiful job at a very fair price. It was far less than I expected. I needed a light for a powder room and was trying to decide on a couple. They took down the display models, wired them so I could plug them into an outlet, and let me take them home to check them out in my bathroom. They didn't charge me anything to do so! It's a good thing I did take them home, because the one I thought I preferred would nit work out there. So it was good I had the back up. That one also happened to be on sale, and I got a much better price than I expected. I bought a ceiling fan as well. Upon installing it, the motor wasn't working properly. The store ordered another to replace it. Again, they were very helpful and offered to replace it immediately.

An honest, local, family owned business who are passionate about you and your business. When you walk in, the first thing you notice is that everything is well organized, then you notice everything is clean. (I needed a very small and specialized screw one time and Gaylon went into a file box and pulled out an envelope with smaller envelopes inside and voila! There was the screw I needed!) Someone always greets you when you enter and if they can't help right away, they at least acknowledge your presence and let you know they'll be with you shortly. (Which gives you time to browse the specialty tools and make you want to spend more than what you intended to!) Another instance, I brought them in a small roto-tiller that wasn't running right, and in my opinion went above and beyond. They not only fixed it to like-new condition within a few short days, but when I got it back, it was cleaner than when I dropped it off and the wires that go from the throttle to the engine were very neatly taped up. I hadn't even thought of taping them myself, but what a nice thing, now the wires don't get caught on other tools in the truck or on branches of shrubs near where I'm working. Gaylon (sorry if I didn't spell that correctly) along with the rest of his family are very knowledgeable about the products they carry. Or if you have a problem with how you get a certain job done currently, he is usually able to help you come up with a solution by finding you something that he carries or that he can order, or he will point you in the direction or someone else local who can help. (Which he has done for me several times) They stand behind the products they sell and they welcome feedback about their products so that they don't waste time selling items of inferior quality or that don't work efficiently. Thank you guys, keep up the good work!
