The day that I went in felt very rushed as far as the intake process - "come early if you can we are very busy today" and when we got there 30min before our appointment time we were taken in right away (which was fine). My spouse and I were taken back to the room and told to undress - no one had asked "problem" areas for our massage or etc again which is fine however I would have liked that as I have a very bad back. The massage in my opinion was subpar felt good in some areas however I dont think they put attention into retention of clients rather than get you in and out. My back hurt two days after (normal I get because of toxins) however started to progressively get worse the following weeks like worse than my normal back pain. Kind of disappointing after spending some decent money and leaving a decent tip for both masseuses however my fault for not looking into it more.

About…read more40% of the time, the therapist is subpar--it's like gambling at a casino: you pay $80 with no guarantee of quality. Common issues: * Therapist pauses mid-massage, as if dozing off. * "Deep tissue" feels like superficial lotion rubbing. * Uneven treatment, missing areas on one side. * Therapist acts annoyed. * Last visit: Used a slippery wooden stick instead of fingers, causing intense pain which left multiple marks on my feet. Complaining at the end gets a generic "sorry, we'll improve next time." With only a 60% shot at a decent experience, skip this place unless you enjoy the risk.

My work schedule limited my availability, but I was able to call and book an appointment for the end of day Thursday. MasPaz is located inside the Phenix salon suites and Kristin greeted me warmly when I arrived. I got there 15 minutes before my appointment to fill out paperwork and address any health concerns I had. The room is calming and has a humidifier and music to block out any surrounding noises. Lomi lomi style massage incorporates hot oil, which Kristin uses an organic coconut type, and strokes across the body. I was prepped and ready for the table. The massage was fabulous; calming and focused on my areas of tension (neck and shoulders). I could feel my sore muscles being targeted which felt great. Overall an enjoyable experience! It was hard turning my brain off but I was told it gets easier to do with future visits. Loved the hot oil and the warm towels to wipe off the oil at the end, gave an exfoliating feel. Kristin is a wonderful masseuse and very personable, I would recommend getting a massage here!
