Wow, sadly a waste of money. A LOT OF MONEY. I signed up for this program on April 5. I have had one date, so far. They sent me the "match" on May 9th. He was not a good fit at all. Not The physical requirements/parameters I asked for, and not personality/characteristics, either. When I questioned the physical parameters (height), after meeting him, I was told that they give or take 2 to 3 inches. Why even ask me what my parameters are if you're not going to meet them, LOL! He was very short, thin and our lifestyles were not at all compatible. In fact, he's not even in the area five days a week, he works out of state. I'm not sure how someone like that can even sign up for a program like this. The only reason I'm giving this company two stars is because they were all very nice to me, the meetings and interactions have all been very good. They even called me a few days ago to apologize for not being able to find a date for me. Bottom line is, they don't have a very large database of people. Why? This shit is super expensive! That's why. Goal: figure out how to get some of my money back. Unless they can show you numbers of how many people are in their database, I would not recommend you sign up for a program with this company. Don't ever give this company your money. They are scam artists. Rosie from this office scammed me out of $4300 and I never received another phone call from her. She was so charming and made me feel safe. She was working in the OKC office and the first match I was set up on was with a MARRIED man! This company is a total fraud! I signed up paying thousands and have been lined up with three/four guys in over a year! One was homeless, living with a fried who was kind enough to let him have a bedroom. Another was living with his daughter in a room built onto the back of her house. (I didn't even meet him). One made us share a meal and said he was driving to San Francisco in the morning to share a room with two women and was taking his microwave so he could just eat in the room. Now I get another referral who I checked out on line. He took out bankruptcy in 2012 and has two huge tax liens against him. I like most of the others that use this service am very, very disappointed with the lack of respect this company has for people just looking to have a better life. Phoenix Matchmakers are smooth talkers who unfortunately don't have enough clientele to make them look like they know what they're doing. They started by getting me a smoker and of course I didn't want any smokers. Any way I have had some dates with the service and most of the women I had dates with also knew they had been scammed too. This company is a scam. They pressure you into signing up on spot. Their customer service is horrendous. Your "matchmaker" is based out of California and has never met you. For about $2000 you get 5 months of service with one match per month. They say the first 3 they are just getting it figured out. So I guess the last two will be a match? I joined over a year ago, was set up on several dates. None of the men were right for me, they either lived over an hour away or didn't fit my criteria.I'm a 64 year old woman and they kept trying to give me older men when I told them I like younger men. DO NOT LISTEN TO ANYTHING THEY PROMISE!! THEY LIE!! I am extremely disappointed with this company. At first they are extremely convincing and promise that they have a very large pool of eligible men that are tall and can have me matched in no time at all! Supposedly I was so eligible, they told me I would be married I less than 1 year!!! Well that conversation in December was followed by 2 weeks of no contact, until I called and left a message. Then I got the Intake phone call from the Matchmakers (not in AZ, not the same team I signed up with). I had to wait 1 month before I got my first match! Let me say, I was promised they had many men over 6'2" since I am 6'1" and wanted height! They had matched me with someone shorter than me, and since then have had 2 potential matches (both under 6'). I was told that they don't have tall men and can't find anyone who matches me. Seriously!!!!! Then you basically lied to me to get me to pay you!!! I actually tried to cancel within the 3 days, but was promised that I would be satisfied and if not they would refund me money! I gave it 4 months and finally decided I was done! But of course it took me 2 more months to actually get ahold of anyone from the business, and I am still waiting for my promised refund! Supposedly I was to be refunded in May and we are now in July with no refund in sight!!! What the heck is wrong with this company! I should have listened to my gut after I read these reviews and kept my request to cancel within the 3 days!!! This was the worst mistake ever and the biggest SCAM ever!!!! Slick salesperson oozing compassion for those of us looking to share our lives with someone special. The promise of "personal matches" can never happen because the "matchmakers" are in Omaha, Nebraska and NEVER MEET ANYONE!! The cover page for the company states that they've been making matches since the 1980's, but they've only been in business as "Phoenix Matchmakers" since April 2016. I felt duped, mislead and stupid for signing up with this company. It might actually work if, as represented, all clients are personally met by those matching us. Sadly, that can never happen as they currently operate. Their process makes them no better than on-line dating where matches are made based on written profiles and misleading photos. And you can get that for a bout $40. a month. My bank reversed the ridiculously high charge. read more

$3000 and now two dreadful "dates" later over the course of a year, ANYONE who is thinking about losing a lot of money... I would have joyfully given this to a legitimate and reputable charity....RUN ...don't walk... away. Their "closer" at their Phoenix office (Via Ventura)... smooth as silk and the dream salesperson. Superb at what she does. Other than that, well skilled in preying upon one's vulnerabilities. Oozing compassion and "I so understand and you deserve so much and we have so many men who would love to meet you..." Promises, promises, promises. I get sick just thinking how I, as a reasonably intelligent person, allowed myself to fall for this pap. I thought nothing could be worse than the first man.. . who was utterly pathetic.. and that was about 6-7 months ago...until two nights ago with someone who was all but senile, totally and sadly unattractive, all but incoherent, kept me waiting for over 40 minutes because he was "lost", despite very simple directions I had THREE times given him. He talked, or more appropriately MUMBLED about NOTHING other than himself and how he had made his fortune, and then began all over again ..completely forgetting he had said the identical thing about 5 minutes before. Although my "contact" person( from Idaho or Omaha or wherever she was) was aware of my age (they demand proof per drivers' license ("because people always lie about their age and their photos and we must be honest with our clients")....., she apparently ignored the fact that I had unequivocally told her , again and again, that I am physically active, I workout 7 days a week, have consistently been contacted and have gone out with men between mid 60-s to early 70s, how not one person who has seen me thought I was a day over early 60's, etc, etc, etc.. that I am a sophisticated and cultured woman from Manhattan... you know, Opera, Symphony, Art, Fine Dining, an attorney, and more etc, etc.. and I KNEW I would have nothing in common with him, she insisted I have dinner with this 87 year old man with whom I had as much in common as I would have had with a 25 year old...( though that imaginary person, at least, would have been alive). ..."and at least, he may just end up being a friend with whom to have dinner and share other things that interest you"). I still can't believe I fell for this nonsense. My stupidity. Their policy of no photos, no profile is absurd. These so called "matchmakers" have zero idea of who you are... other, than of course, the "closer", with whom I met personally and who I naively believed would by MY matchmaker after spending close to 4 hours with her... Do not use this service. I was skeptical about using them to begin with but they definitely are good sales people. I was told they would do all the upfront work so the matches they sent me would be compatible. First, after 4 weeks I was getting concerned about not hearing from them. I called the numbers they provided only to learn that they were no longer, nir have they been fir a ling time, associated with Phoenix Matchmaker. All the paperwork I received states Phoenix Matchmaker. Secondly, I finally reached them and told them I was disputing my charge if I didn't hear from them they still didn't call me back. The first one I didn't even meet as he was already in a relationship. The second was not at all what I was looking for. The third was married and still living with his wife. Like other reviewers, I too, have had a terrible experience with AZ Matchmakers. It was totally mis-represented and I would be interested in a class-action lawsuit if anyone else is interested. I really could not afford the $3100 it cost me. I gave them my parameters and the two matches that have been provided from their "Large stable of eligible men" were both much older and in very bad physical condition when I had stated that I am active, in great physical shape, have always been with men my age or younger than myself, and desire to meet someone who is fit and active with common interests. (One was 87 and showed up with a walker and was very hunchbacked) the other was to have open heart surgery in 2 weeks!) and was in his mid- 80's. Save your money. I joined a couple of years ago and it was a waste of my money and my time. They promised me quality candidates and my experience would be better than regular online dating. I had 2 referrals that were somewhat acceptable, but the rest of the referrals were below average. I spent a lot of money in their program and the results did not match up to what was promised. Even my referrals voiced their frustration with this company and their empty promises of finding an "ideal match". If I had to do it again, I would put my money in my 401K. In 3 years with this company I had 5 different matchmakers that worked with me. I had one matchmaker tell me that it was a poorly run company and that she felt bad because of my poor referrals I had received. She left the company shortly after our conversation.
