On the main floor are the instruments, & upstairs you will find sheet music & an area for taking music lessons. Jon Milano, the grandson of the man who started this business, introduced himself to me & told me the history of this store. Very fascinating & if you walk through the back hallway of the store, you will see many photos of the various artists & celebrities who have visited this amazing music store! I'm a drummer so I will definitely return when I need something. I invite you to check this place out & say hello to my new friend Jon. Once you visit Milano's, you become part of the family!

They try to do much in a limited space, and mostly, that works. Their wind and violin/viola/cello/bass/etc space is really nice, and their acoustical guitar and bass sections are strong. The keyboards area is sort of scrunched together but top brands and a bit of variety. I liked their synths, although not a crazy variety. Prices I heard seemed a bit higher, but there is added value here, too. Huge sheet music section. Much wind instrument variety, as well as mouthpieces, reeds/ligatures/etc. It has the widest and broadest inventory I've seen in Arizona. Worth a visit; musicians will appreciate the variety.

Bruce suggested that he could simply replace the "nut" which elevates the strings above the frets. Well, bingo he was right. Saved me some serious $. Everyone I spoke to was really nice, and I was able to get my flute serviced quickly. The instrument repair person is there on Wednesdays and Saturdays. They did a pretty good job, but definitely didn't polish my flute, which I was kind of disappointed about, especially since I asked it to be thoroughly cleaned (this was also indicated on my service ticket they typed up). I was able to polish it myself after I got it back with a silver polishing cloth that I had to purchase. They have a huge variety of instruments, accessories, and books! It does seem to be more catered to guitars/percussion, but they still had a decent selection for woodwinds and brass. They also have tons of teachers that do private lessons. I will definitely be returning if I need anymore repairs done, as they did a nice job with those!

After placing my online order, the website had an technical issue and failed to create my order at the physical store level. Not only that, but the order disappeared from my account so the only way for an update on the status was to call customer support. I placed the order on a Wednesday, for the next 2 days after placing the order, customer support told me that the order was looking good and not too worry. After waiting all weekend for some update, I still hadn't received an update on Monday. Luckily one customer support agent caught something weird in my order and noticed my order did not get put through to the store. Shane from this location called me and explained the situation, which surprised me since the customer support agent was supposed to call me back with an update. Within minutes I got an update regarding the label being created. Fast forward to Wednesday (1 week after placing the order) no update regarding the shipment. Shane helped verify that the guitar did indeed get picked up by UPS and was on its way. Later in the day I received a message that the guitar was in my area preparing for transfer. Never did I think that an online order would be so complicated, especially in 2026. I called customer support and spoke with a supervisor to express my frustration throughout my experience, and the supervisor repeatedly tried pinning the blame on the store instead of the faulty outdated website. The employees at this location were very respectful and understanding whenever I called, and helped me at every step of the way. Although I had the negative experience with the online side of Guitar Center, this store was a huge pleasure to work with and I really hope they are being compensated properly for their hard work.
