Once you go through the doors there's an escalator and stairs to go up. I got here at 12pm to get our table ready because apparently it's a packed house due to the prize amount being $200k assuming you win Turf Paradise races 3-8. I only won race 2 putting horse number 8, Dos Special Eye8Mark A. Jasso | Alex Garcia. With $2 to bet to win I won $15.80 haha! Betting on the horses using the trifecta way was very difficult and costly. You can go to the machines to bet where you'll get the change on a betting ticket to use as your money. Or you can use the cashiers to place your bets. We tried the bowl of beef chili (which was more like paste consistency rather than soup so we ate these with some of our nacho chips), nachos and chips with salsa and guacamole. Tables are very minimal and space is tight. Most are 4 chairs to a table. Our server was very friendly and attentive. There were mostly adults and few kids that attended today's event. This is wheelchair friendly too. Great for large groups as long as you reserve to have a bunch of tables near each other. I would come back again!

Also bring cash for entrance fee and betting and a hat or visor for outside viewing. We needed $5 a person cash only to enter, but parking was free in their large dirt lot. Betting starts at $2 minimum. We were celebrating birthdays and one person in our group brought cupcakes from a bakery. We arrived at 12:20 pm on a Sat and there was plenty of parking and the entrance line to the building was short. Some people in our party group arrived 30 min later and the line to get in was much longer. We were the first in our group to arrive. We paid $5 to enter and then took the escalator to the 2nd floor and stood in line for the hostess. Our friend had reserved 3 tables under her name. The hostess gave us 3 tickets with the reserved table numbers and directions on where to go. The indoor seating area has a great view of the track and surrounding mountains. There are menus on the table and a wait person will come around to take orders. There was no pressure to order anything so I just had water. You run a tab and pay the wait person before leaving. You can look out the window and see the race and each table had a tv monitor that shows each race. We didn't realize that our monitor was showing races from another location until a couple hours later. We fiddled with the controls but learned that only the waitress has the remote that can change the channel. Once we were on the "Turf Paradise" channel we could better follow the action. I was glad that one person in our group understood how betting worked as we needed an explanation. If desired we could walk outside to the bleacher area or down by the track. Races may only be on weekends during the months when it's not too hot outside. Overall it was a fun group activity.

They also had vendors inside, a bar and race betting machines. One thing I learned was to reserve tables in advance. I also arrived early when the doors opened so it was easy to find a non reserved spot. What's cool about this venue is we are right by the finish line tracks. You get to see the horses the entire time but the best zone is watching at the finish lines. Drinks for a seltzer were -$12 and a cocktail was ~$14. Overall a fun experience!

There's a large tent with VIP seating, vendors, and bars. There's another outdoor area with reserved tables and live music. And there were two food trucks (a BBQ joint and a grilled cheese spot). Here's the good and the bad: (1) The large tent is supposed to be VIP but there's grass and dirt accompanied by overpriced drinks; (2) You can view the live races from this area; (3) there was a Stella Artois stand that was giving out free samples and a personalized engraved Stella glass; (4) You can go to the other parts of the venue but you can't bring alcohol to the other parts (meaning you have to finish it before you go to other sections); (5) There are no bathrooms. So, not worth the price of admission in my mind. The coolest part of an event like this is seeing how everyone dresses up, especially the women with their elaborate hats and sun dresses. I'd go with general admission, though. Those areas have lower priced drinks, too.

If you're there for a normal night and aren't interested in getting any of the free stuff, no reason to go extra early. But, I was there for a themed night and had to be there at 4pm for a game that started at 7pm. They also only open the interior of the arena/food area at 5:30, so we were stuck waiting at the main lobby until then. You can spend time going to the merch shop, getting a drink at the Champion's bar, but that's about it. The night's speciality drink was a dragonfruit lemonade and I loved it! Highly recommend adding the citrus vodka. The food was actually great. They have an affordable $2 menu at all of the grill locations across the arena along with other options. I didn't expect much from my poke bowl but it turned out to be pretty delicious even though it was just rice, salmon, cucumber, avocado, and a semi spicy sauce. Definitely preferred over the greasy, heavy food options that I didn't want. The energy during the game was so fun; X Factor knows how to get loud! Just unfortunate that we lost during overtime :( but there's always a next game. Go Mercury!

The arena itself is well-designed, clean, and easy to navigate, with plenty of excellent food options that go beyond the typical stadium fare. Whether you're looking for classic concessions or something a little more elevated, there's a great variety to choose from. The one major downside was the beverage pricing. The drinks are extraordinarily overpriced--a simple whiskey and Coke cost $25, and it was served in what looked to be about a 6-ounce cup, making it difficult to justify the cost. While premium venue pricing is expected, this felt excessive even by arena standards. Aside from that, the overall experience was enjoyable. The arena is impressive, the atmosphere is lively, and the wide selection of food makes it a great place to spend an evening. If beverage prices were a bit more reasonable, it would easily be an exceptional experience.

All adjacent business parking lots were full. Ended up a couple of bocks east of the ballpark. Our Bad. We enjoyed a meal upstairs at Cold Beers & Cheers before heading to our seats. Our game conversation was limited because of the Diamondbacks rally cries, fortunately we had plenty of time chatting at dinner upstairs at dinner before the game. Our seats were nice, lots of room with a good view! There were several groups rallying the fans to join in the fun. A cute little girl maybe 10-12 yrs old was the star in our section belting out lines everyone followed. As the 7th inning arrived the Dbacks were behind 16 runs so we made our move to exit the stadium. I will be back with a bigger group for more Dbacks July 5th! Get your game-on my Friends-SYOY!

After the second inning, however, the section began filling up with people who appeared to be moving into upgraded seats without anyone checking tickets. I continued to check the app throughout the game, and all of those seats still showed as available for purchase. People were constantly moving in and out of seats between innings, making it obvious there was little to no enforcement. If this is how seating is managed, there's really no reason to spend extra money on premium tickets. You may be better off buying the cheapest seat available and simply moving to a better section after the game starts. Unfortunately, it also seemed like many staff members were more focused on socializing and eating in the stands than monitoring seating areas or addressing the issue. Overall, the experience left me feeling like paying extra for better seats was a waste of money.

I appreciate that the stadium is so close to the Light Rail stop, making it easy to avoid the parking issues other reviewers mention. We arrived fairly early for the ceremony, and were able to grab some solid seats in the shade. There are several concession stands and other food options surrounding the seating, and we found the prices to be pretty typical compared to other sporting venues. The concession stands were mostly well stocked ... with the exception of soft pretzels, which ran out before the ceremony began, and we were told to go check another stand after waiting in a 20 minute line. No thanks, we don't need a pretzel that badly! Entering the stadium was no problem, as there was a steady flow of folks filing in without any major slow-downs. Exiting, however, was a different story. This may just be par for the course with graduation, but the exit stairs were completely full, and felt rather unsafe. I'm not sure the best solution for this, but it's something to note, especially if you're claustrophobic.

Took awhile to get thru once we passed the security check-in and were filtering down a few levels to get to the floor. Of course there were a ton of people and we were packed like sardines but the flow was smooth and people were patient. Once we got to our seats, we got situated and Leon Thomas was already midway as the opening act. There was a slight mixup as one chair, the "30th" seat was missing on our row and we ended up moving down one seat to our left as the group with the seating issue kept trying to figure it out. Some numbers were missing on our seats but mine was visible and we could verify where we were seated. Luckily, our seat neighbors were nice people and accommodating since there seemed to be an extra seat that was empty. When we first arrived, there were some people who sat near our seats that weren't supposed to be there but you know there's always one of those so they moved. It was fun and festive. The woman in front of us with her daughter was recording the whole time as well as the lone guy next to my cousin who was doing the same and singing to EVERY SONG, LOL!! Thankfully we never had to use the bathroom as we went during dinner right before the concert. There were Porta-Pottys on the floor level inside as your bathroom. Also, you couldn't take an actual canned drink inside. Attendants had you put them in a cup unless they weren't paying attention and you had your drink in your see-thru backpack like the guy in front of me walking in. Speaking of, you need to look at bag dimensions and restrictions prior to going to the events. I looked ahead of time and brought a clear, plastic purse within the allowed guidelines/dimensions. Acoustics were great, there was never a glitch, 2 large screens on the left and right of the stage were great for folks seated far away and were a great visual for close ups even for us. Security was effective and checkpoints at the entrances went smoothly. It was a bit crazy getting out of the stadium but we got out. Getting out of the parking lot was another story. It was a long, log-jam and some vehicles were impatient and nearly hitting other vehicles just to get in the line to get out! I think the parking guides and traffic monitors could've done better in an orderly and streamlined fashion. In any case, we had fun and luckily people inside were nice and courteous. This was my 2nd concert at this stadium and am well-pleased with the ambiance. It was just the parking lot situation that needs to be more efficient. Hopefully they worked it out the next evening since Bruno played 2 nights here.
