I should have read the reviews on YELP first particularly those for the Tempe PFS store which shows the lowest rating of all the Phoenix Flower Shops. 3 sizes of flower arrangements offered. I ordered and paid for the 'better' middle size the smaller 'standard' size was delivered. Thankfully the recipient sent me a photo ...the delivery person/store did not. I emailed the store with photos of what I ordered Vs what was delivered. Maria at their Tempe location 1340 E Broadway Rd Ste 104 called me. After an offer of the price difference refund I explained my preference is for the flower arrangement that I ordered and paid for to be made up and delivered as per the initial request two weeks prior. There was a notable change in her tone, I was told it would be delivered the next day, the call ended abruptly and there was no apology given. This particular business claim "if for any reason you are not satisfied with your order we will cheerfully replace it". Trust me the cheerful was evidently missing in the call I received. WRONG ORDER WRONG DELIVERY DATE THEIR MISTAKE, THEIR ISSUE NO APOLOGY. (Which imo was the worst part of this whole debacle) Mistakes are made, it's how they are handled matters. The channels of social media thankfully offer an efficient and effective mechanism for us customers to look out for each other. Beautiful flower arrangement! I ordered an arrangement in the morning for my boss and picked it up at noon. It was amazingly fresh and I won some compliments from the boss and more importantly I made my coworkers jealous. Staff was friendly, the man answering the phone could have been a little quicker and more polished, but noting to leave any negative review on. Definitely will take the wife there next time she wants fresh flowers. I didn't know but you can actually go there and make your own arrangements with the huge selection of vases and flowers! read more

HOW TO RUIN A BIRTHDAY BOUQUET BY USING PHOENIX FLOWER SHOPS..... My kids and their dad have been using Phoenix Flower Shops for literally 20+ years. I've had countless deliveries of beautiful flower arrangements in the past from this shop. Sadly the customer service went out the window on the most current delivery. My birthday was on a Friday and I heard a knock at the door and to my surprise I was handed a rose bouquet arrangement in a square glass vase from PFS. I took a picture after about 2 hours to send to my kids and their dad to thank them for the flowers. My daughters reply was, "wtf is that? That is not what we ordered" .... so after having her send me a picture of what was actually ordered I made a phone call to PFS to report the mistake. I was very nice, told them the picture of the order was completely different than what was sent, not by just a little bit but even priced cheaper and less than what was paid for. So I was apologized to but they said that unfortunately they could not make another delivery that day (my birthday) to bring me the correct order. I told them that it was okay and that they could bring on Saturday but would have to be delivered at my job. They said no problem and we hung up. About an hour and a half later I get a call back from PFS saying that they could not deliver anything Saturday afterall as they don't have half of what is pictured in the correct ordered arrangement. Then the person on the phone started telling me things that they could use instead of what's pictured but was really painting a picture of it not being that great. I heard words like "not as vibrant, smaller, different color, not the same." At that point I said let's just do a refund because my family had paid almost $100 and opted for the "better" version of the arrangement they had selected. I felt like they were trying to throw something together last minute and it didn't sound like a "better" version of anything. The lady taking the call took a moment to ask her manager if a refund would be okay, refund was approved but I was told that they would be by on Saturday to pick up the mistake arrangement and if I could bring it to work with me. So the refund went back to my family's credit card and PFS paid a driver to come pick up day old flowers and I was left with nothing. Personally I think a company that makes a mistake like that says, "we are really sorry for the mistake and not being able to fulfill the order, we will do the refund but keep the flowers you have for the inconvenience." Somehow I don't feel like customer service was provided appropriately here. This company made a huge mistake and now I'm wondering if they sent the wrong bouquet on purpose not thinking I would take a picture and send it to the person who ordered it... The arrangement that was sent was $39.99 on sale. The arrangement ordered was $59.99 plus delivery fees and tax. Not only that but the arrangement that was the mistake was truly not that great and even had a bug inside one of the roses as well as wilted, dried out discolored petals... see pictures. We will opt for using Bobbies Flower Shop next time instead of Phoenix Flower Shops. read more

I am 1000% done going here. I used to love this place. They were always friendly and reliable. Sadly it seems like that has changed. Over the past few months I have visited 4 times. Two of those times the women helping me seemed uninterested and upset to be working. The other two times I was not even able to get what I needed because the store was not open during their business hours which are posted online and stated on their answering machine. There are better options for flowers if you live in Tempe. read more

Ordered a bouquet earlier this week for a host gift for thanksgiving tomorrow. Told the lady on the phone I wanted to spend about $50 and just wanted a seasonal bouquet. Showed up picked up my flowers and left. When I got home and looked at the bouquet it was not at all what I pictured so I decided (after a lot of convincing from family, I don't like confrontation) to go back and have them fix the bouquet so that it was all the way full and had fall colors. The ladies fixed the bouquet for me, charged me $10 which was fine just to get what I wanted. Neither bouquet really looked worth what I was paying for but would probably go here again, I would just be more specific on what I want. My wonderful boyfriend bought me a bouquet of flowers and sent them to work for Valentine's Day which is very thoughtful of him. However the flowers I received were dying within hours of receiving them most of the flowers were wilted especially the Roses by that afternoon I called the flower shop they did apologize and said that they would send me out a new bouquet the next day which they did. That bouquet looked much better however 24 hours later the flowers are already dying. I feel like if you're going to spend money on flowers this should last more than 24 hours or they should not deliver these flowers and just sell them cheaper to get rid of them I did not think I would ever let him order flowers from this flower shop again very disappointed but very happy that he thought about sending flowers. I definitely feel a refund should had been done especially after the second delivery is dying. My coworkers also couldn't beleive how the flowers just were dying. read more

My favorite flower shop! On Fridays- they sell all their cut flowers for 1/2 price! They've cut the hours and now close at 5:00 pm instead of 6:00 (sigh) Very nice people and great service. I wandered in here entirely by chance - I was about to visit a friend in the hospital, and thought it'd be nice to bring her some flowers. I wasn't picky about the size or content; I just wanted something simple and pretty and preferably not too expensive. Within ten minutes the woman behind the counter had me picking out a rose and a couple of other flowers, and did them up in a lovely little bud vase with a ribbon. She charged me a very reasonable price for them, too - well below what I expected to spend at a professional flower shop. And best of all, my friend loved the flowers, and even commented she liked the simplicity of the arrangement so they weren't overpowering in her tiny hospital room. I probably won't be back often, as I don't spend a lot of time in Tempe, but based on the one experience I would absolutely recommend this place. read more

All I can say is WOW!!! I called at 12:49 PM on the Friday before Mother's Day to see if they could still deliver same day. I was super surprised they said yes. Not only that... When I collected the bouquet, I asked if it could be bound as a bouquet and she said "no, we just wrap it in plastic"... The people behind us, in line... I have been using this shop for years, the Tempe location. Always pleased with the arrangements. This time though, oddly, the roses started dying in a couple of days. I called them and they were so apologetic. They sent out a fresh arrangement with a very sweet note of apology and to thank me for the business. Things happen occasionally in life, but it's what we do to correct them that makes the difference. Phoenix Flower Shops created our bridal bouquet and boutonniere and did an amazing job for our wedding. They were so great to work with. I had my heart set on peonies, however they were not in season in early February and the floral designer creatively designed something that was just as beautiful and colorful. They've definitely a wide assortment of flowers. The ladies there are very knowledgeable and make great recommendations. I have been meaning to write an update. After contacting Phoenix Flower Shop, they did replace my roses. They had to pick up the dead ones and didn't come to the very end of the day they were replacing them, but they did replace them. The second ones lasted a couple of days longer. Phoenix Flower Shops provided a funeral wreath for a family member's memorial service. The picture online did not do justice to the beautiful wreath that arrived at the church this morning. I was so very pleased with the arrangement and know that great pride of workmanship must have gone into arranging the wreath. All of the flowers that were advertised were there, so very fresh and arranged perfectly. It was the all-white wreath, and it was stunning. A few years ago, we ordered two sprays on line from a company that advertised discounted prices. The flowers were never delivered. We were heartbroken and mortified. We knew we would not have the same experience with Phoenix Flower Shops and will always return to them on any special occasions for which we need a floral arrangement. My rating is 3 stars rather than 4 because of their computer system, not because of their flowers. The flowers have always been decent and delivered on time. I've used Phoenix Flowers multiple times a year for the past 9 years to send flowers to my family and friends, spending between $500 - $1,000/yr. I know there are many good florists in the valley that are comparably priced; my reason for sticking with Phoenix Flowers for so long was because all of our information was in their system (mine for sending & billing, family/friends' for receiving), which made it incredibly convenient. My billing address changed this year. When I called to place an order I was told that they could not just change my billing address. I had to create an entirely new account and all of my information and my recipients' information had to be re-entered. I took this as an opportunity to try out a new florist, since I would have to recreate my account no matter who I used. read more

My daughter was recently married at the Hermosa Inn in Paradise Valley and the bouquets, floral ball decorations, all 6 of the reception table arrangements and the flowers for the cake were exceptionally beautiful, fresh and graciously delivered at the right time. Sandy, the lovely lady in charge of our order, followed my daughter's floral color scheme to a T, making her very happy on this important day ... she later told me that all the arrangements were even better than she expected. I would definitely recommend this shop and staff for any special event. In fact I originally called them for an estimate because I was so impressed when I received a most beautifully designed bouquet of orchids back in February for my birthday that lasted for weeks ... I felt very fortunate to work with Sandy and Phoenix Flower Shops to complete my daughter's Wedding Day. read more

Awful, what a terrible experience. Sad and wilted flower selection and unbelievably rude and condescending staff. I will never return.

I was completely not impressed with the quality of flower used in my wedding bouquet. When voicing my concern regarding the bouquet the owner was defensive and rude. She wouldn't allow me to talk to explain my disatification with the bouquet. When attempting to fix the bouquet she only made it look worse. I have never received such poor customer service especially for such a special day as a wedding. There was no sympathy just blaming me, the bride for this bouquet turning out poorly. She was more concerned with telling me what I should have said verses trying to make the customer happy. It is the florist job to inform customers on the difference of flower size and quality depending on the season. When I expressed my dislike for the size of the flowers used I was told this is how they are during this season. That is information the average person would not know. This is information a professional florist provide to a customer so that an informed decision can be made not use that as an excuse when a customer is displeased with the flowers used. I would not recommend this floral shop. read more

I ordered a premium bouquet through Teleflora for delivery 1 week prior to Valentine's Day. Phoenix Flower Shop in Tempe fulfilled the order. The bouquet that arrived was not even the quality of the standard. It was an embarrassment. I also paid for delivery prior to 1pm. This disastrous bouquet was delivered right at 1pm. I understand that is a busy day but the flower shop was literally 3 minutes down the street. However the delivery is not the issue, only another black mark. The quality of the product, or lack there of was the issue. I would not use Teleflora or Phoenix Flower shop in the future. read more

I cannot recommend this business. Our family took a picture of what we wanted in our display for our granddaughter's funeral and the shop acknowledged the FTD version of the arrangement and told us there would be no problem duplicating it. Unfortunately, their price was double that of the listed FTD price, but time was of the essence, as is often the case with a sudden death, and we paid for the arrangement. When it was delivered, it was so different, that I genuinely thought it had come from someone else and that our flowers had not arrived. When complaint was made, instead of owning up to the obvious difference, they blamed family members for poor instructions (we were all there at the same time and made no such poor communication, as evidenced by giving them a picture of what we wanted). The only proper thing they did was to eventually, after we complained, refund half of the price of the flowers making them the same price of the original cost of an FTD order even though they were nowhere close to what was actually ordered. They should have profusely apologized and refunded the entire amount. We will not use them again. read more

We were forced to used this shop by chance because where my husband ordered me flowers from automatically sent it to this shop. First of all they were supposed to be delivered on Valentines day. When they weren't of course it made my day sad instead of happy to receive flowers. then when my husband called to see when they were going to be delivered they blatantly lied to him, and told him they would have to be delivered the next day. By 1250 I called and actually talked to the person who was supposed to deliver the flowers and she said that they were made first thing in the morning and then sat on the shelf all day. So there was another lie. I called around 1250 the next day and talked to someone who was very apologetic and told me that they were on the truck to get delivered, there were 5 total deliveries and all the rest of them had been delivered except mine, and mine was on it's way. Fast forward to 1 hour later and still nothing. The only thing positive I can say about this company is that the customer service people I have been talking to are very nice and polite. Besides the customer service people at the corporate line, it seems everyone else that runs this shop is a bunch of bumbling idiots. Stay clear of this place read more
