I had my wedding here on October 25th, 2019 and am finally finding the time to write this review. But I had such a great experience here that I wanted to share my thoughts with other people looking for an event venue. I could not have found a better place for my wedding. As I had a limited budget, I was thrilled to see such a gorgeous venue for such an affordable price. If you want to have a subtly dramatic atmosphere, the lighting at the Elks Lodge provides just that. The lights were one of the things I most fell in love with. We also rented the patio which has a fire pit, so I would definitely recommend doing that when the weather is appropriate. I had around 150 people at my wedding and the venue accommodated them all so nicely with room to spare! The food was amazing. There are many options to choose from for your meal selections - we chose three total. They have options for appetizers as well. We decided against an open bar but found the drink prices incredibly fair and the bar to be well stocked. Everyone loved our bartender! I had a fairly large bridal party of 6, and the changing facilities were perfect for our larger number. The mirror and bathroom lighting was excellent for putting on makeup and it would be easy to have an on site stylist. Another huge highlight to mention is the staff! Barbi is a complete gem. She was helpful every step of the way from our first visit to the venue to cleaning up after the reception. She provided decorations and helped me complete my wedding vision. In addition, she is a very caring person who makes you feel truly heard and understood. She let my husband and I come to the venue many times in the months leading up to the wedding so we could make a floor plan, talk centerpieces, or just do a final on walkthrough. She was very accommodating with giving us time for our rehearsal the day before the ceremony. In addition, we had time to set up the venue before our rehearsal. Overall, this venue is simply amazing. It's affordable, beautiful, and has an excellent staff on hand. I would recommend this venue regardless of budget or wedding theme, as it's an incredibly versatile space. I especially

We had our daughter's wedding here on 3/8/2019. I found everything beyond our expectations. Barbie even went and bought me a pair of flip flops when she heard I had a blister from my shoes. The room was set up so elegantly. It took my breathe away when I walked in before the ceremony. The food and the service were also excellent. Barbie walked us through every step. She stayed in touch and was such a pleasure to work with. I received so many compliments on the venue and the night. The food was great. The bartender was great. The service was great. I will recommend the ELKS to everyone looking. The prices are reasonable and not one person had one complaint, but we did receive plenty of compliments. Barbie, if you read this, thanks for being such a pleasant person and making our night UNFORGETABLE!! -- Debbie

I have been a member for 29 years, it's a nice quiet place to have a cocktail and dinner, and the bartenders are excellent.

We opted for the all in package where Boojum coordinated with their preferred venders to handle about 90% of the arrangements and for a VERY reasonable price. Everyone brought their A game!! Food was delicious, music was fantastic (even with a last minute DJ swap due to an emergency), and the grounds were stunning! They did everything right. Multiple beautiful backdrops available for the big day. We chose the grand fountain but soooo many other great options. Even the little things. Everyone warned us how hard it is to eat on your wedding day but as soon as we left the ceremony area to the backstage, there was a waiter for my wife and I along with the bridal party with appetizers and drink orders. Jennifer the day of works as your wedding coordinator and she does a fantastic job! Everything was so well run and on time as well. Everyone told me this was the best venue and the best experience they ever had at a wedding and I know it wasn't just them being nice! If you're the type of person who wants to be able to say you got married at Wrigley, fine. But if your focus is the best possible experience for your guests and yourselves, Boojum is by far the way to go!! These guys throw an EPIC wedding and party!!!

If you haven't been there, then you definitely need to pay it a visit. However, for a wedding venue, it was a bit odd. Maybe this was the fault of the coordinator? First the good things! The customer service really was great! The staff managing the bar area were super friendly and great to talk to at every visit! The food served was delicious, no complaints at all! The decor and aesthetics were wonderful for the venue and the Arizona area. The area in the main part of the venue, were the ceremony took place was lovely and shaded. There was a fountain and surrounded by lovely trees and structures. As with all venues, hosting a wedding with a cash or cash-less bar, this venue fell into the same issue. The alcohol not in bottles or cans just had to be watered down. There is no possible way our friends and myself had as many vodka mixed drinks, we are talking about over 10 or 11 at least for myself, and never even got a buzz. This seemed to be the consensus. The other issue was just the layout. The covered area / enclosed structure where the dinner took place was large and spacious. It was decorated with plants and man made areas that were lovely and it kept everyone together, socializing, and simply having fun. When that was done we were moved to an area behind the bar/sitting structure for live DJ and dance floor. This was simply counter productive to encouraging that togetherness and partying. instead it had various separate and distinct fire pits with covered areas and seating around each one. This pretty much cause the wedding party to all separate into their own clicks and neither one really interacting unless you were directly related/known to them some how. The dance floor was a raised gazebo area, which was lovely. However, from where some of the fire pits were, you had no view of who was dancing or if anyone was dancing. The DJ played a great playlist but she could have been definitely more interactive.

Missing pieces to puzzles, missing magnet pens on the airplane play board, broken shopping carts, and all the wooden food was so faded, scratched, etc. it's a shame because it's not a cheap place to play at $30 for 1.5 hours. Three employees - one at the cafe reading a book, two at the front - one on the computer and one on her phone. No one actively cleaning up after the kids or wiping anything down. Also suggested it's best for under 3 yr olds. Not much for slightly older kids 3-5. Older kids get bored easily.

Honestly, the vibe was off and I wasn't expecting the snobby vibe of "mommies looking through you", considering that this is in a more mainstream neighborhood. Overpriced and strange structure of playtimes ending and starting. The staff were friendly but the onboarding process was needlessly cumbersome. It's odd that they sell fancy pastries and coffees but don't tell you until after your purchase that you can't bring them into the dining tables in the play area. The play offerings focused primarily on concrete storyline/role style activity, owing to the very concrete toys and stations. It was cute, but my daughter loves more open-ended style play and the one slide they had got squeezed with traffic. The space was also a bit small for the amount of children using it at once. They seem to be in a learning curve but others seem happy with it so maybe it's just personal preference. I do want to restate that the staff were pleasant.

Service: Everyone was very nice and accommodating. Everyone loved my dog. Room: It's decent, nice but wasn't as luxurious as other properties in the same level. It is a bit weird to have the shower in the middle of the room and an open concept bathroom separated by a curtain. The bed is comfy and place was quiet. Even so the Edit said upgrade possible if available, we did not get an upgrade :(. Boo. Food: Hearth 61 had pretty good food and the Edit gives $90 a day for 2 for breakfast. That is a very generous amount. They serve the food until 2pm (more like brunch) so you can technically can get two meals out of the credit. Credit doesn't all have to be one transaction. Dog amenities: They give you a dog package with a bed, bowl, poo bags, pee pad, and treats. There isn't a designated relief area but there are multiple areas around you can take your dog. There is no grass or turf and it's all rocks. The bad: The room has no fridge and if you want a fridge you have to pay $25 (freezer is $40). We needed one so we decided to use part of our Edit $100 credit to get one. Kinda annoying for a resort room to not have a fridge and if not, why isn't the fridge fee included in the resort fee? Late checkout is at 2pm. When you check out, make sure you ask for an itemized bill. For some reason, the computer took the charges from the $100 credit first and did not apply it to the breakfast credit so we ended up owing $100. However a quick mention to the front desk and they were able to take care of that for us. ALSO, not a hotel thing but I must mention, Paradise Valley has speeding and red lights cameras on Lincoln. They are enforced for BOTH and the speed limit is 40mph. Do not go over or you will get flashed -_-

We used the valet parking as the signage was a bit unclear, so it seemed the easier solution than going up and down stairs to find Geordie's. The entrance had the open feeling of a grand house, with the wrought iron staircase and the beautiful ceiling, terracotta tiles and wood furnishings. There was a wedding party in the large restaurant area that we passed on the way to our table in a separate area. The table was set with care and the rose petals were such a thoughtful touch! As a European I was pleasantly surprised by a small velvet covered stool, placed by my side, for my purse: these touches made the evening even more memorable. No rushing to seat more people or a check arriving while still deciding if something else was going to be ordered. I do enjoy a real meal in a real restaurant, with table linens, linen napkins, the proper glasses, the good silverware. Nick was taking care of our table and was very attentive to anything we may have needed. The cocktails we had were the " Ready, Fire, Aim" with rye whiskey, Drambuie, St Remy and bitters, and the "Dr Vincent's Penicillin" with scotch, lemon, honey, ginger and Laphroaig spritz: both were delicious. For the meal I had the Risotto made with Carnaroli rice, oyster mushrooms, truffle and asparagus; for me the risotto was just a bit over but it was creamy and all of it eaten! The Scallop Ceviche was fabulous, thinly sliced served with auicos, sliced jalapeño, leche de tigre : my chile allergy wouldn't let me taste this dish, but my partner ate it all so definitely good :) The main course consisted of the prime Filet for me, cooked perfectly!! to my medium-rare with emphasis on rare, served on pommes purée and enjoyed to the last bite; the other order was for the dry smoked Branzino (sea bass) with olive tapenade, artichoke and tomato: the fish was so moist and tasty, the skin crispy, and was presented beautifully. For dessert we shared the "Milk and Honey" which is a twist on panna cotta with brown buttercream and honeycomb. With dessert I had my usual after dinner espresso with a shot Sambuca to go with it. Thank you Nick for taking such good care of us. A perfect meal and ambiance for a special night
