I'm a new member of Elks Lodge 335. The Lodge hosts the Phoenix Division of the US Naval Sea Cadets. Our unit does color guard duties as well as performing Honor Guard duties for events such as Honor Flights for veterans to travel to Washington, DC to visit the various memorials (Vietnam, Iwo Jima, Arlington National Cemetery, and more. The Phoenix Elks has a beautiful space, great staff, and welcoming members. Their charities for veterans, children and community families are fantastic. The Lodge is under renovation and will be even more beautiful when it reopens soon. Membership is easy! read more

Room for improvement Bre Torrez to elks335events 2 days ago Details "Barbi, There were a few things that I wanted to discuss with you regarding guest's and family member's comments and some other issues now that everything has settled a bit.  1. My bridesmaid was looking for the groom's mother to give her a corsage I made her. I told her to find you if she needed help doing so. She later told me that you said, "I don't know who she is but the Bride's mother is right there but I don't think she speaks English." You have met my mother several times. She asked you if the parking lot would be finished on time, she asked other questions about the venue. She was with me when we first got there to discuss pricing and food menu. That same day she threw down $750 for the place. So, how does she not know English? That comment most definitely sounded a bit prejudice and it highly upset me and my family.  2. The Groom's bathroom was literally down from the Bride's bathroom. You telling us to "come out in 7 minutes" made no sense to me considering me and Dave could have most definitely ran into each other. Hence why I asked you to just come get us once he is out there.  3. When my family or we (me and Dave) had questions, we couldn't find you.  4. You had absolutely no ground speaking to my mother the way you did over tips when my entire family and my guests tipped her well in her tip jar. She filled that up several times. You all made an extra $2,000 off my guests and my family just for drinks. I had the bar open for $600, my brother did $500, my dad did another $500 or more, my father-in-law did $300, and my family are not cheap tippers. After conversing with my family the next day, I was upset that you would come outside to ask me to tip the bartender after I had my daughter close my tab. If you are that concerned how much your bartender is making then I highly suggest you increase her hourly wage. But I am most definitely sure your bartender did not complain one bit when she took all that wad of money home in her purse.  5. After you spoke to my mother the way you did and she felt obligated to give the bartender more money, your bartender told her, "That's it? Twenty dollars?" That is not okay. She made hundreds. My father put $100 bills in her tip jar. He even tipped other Elks staff members.  6. When my Father-in-law and Stepmother-in-law went to the bar prior to the wedding kicking off, they sat next to our other family members who have been Elks members for almost 50 years. They tried ordering drinks and the bartender not only denied them, but rudely denied them. My family said to that bartender, "No. They are with us. We will sign them in." And the bartender gave my father-in-law and stepmother-in-law horrible looks. My husband's Dad for damn sure deserves respect. He is a veteran and so is my father. This was not okay.  I feel as though some of your staff left their smiles at home and brought their negative attitudes in instead. This night cost us all a lot of money and the Elks alone made close to $6,500 not including tips.  It is important you understand where I am coming from. I may not have shown it but after hearing about some of these things at our wedding reception, I was livid. I, however, did not want to speak to you about this during that time due to obvious reasons and I wanted to enjoy our family and friends.  -Bre" We also ordered the Cordon Bleu for our meal and it was far from Cordon Bleu and very dry. The only thing good about this place is Debi. She rocks! The reception room looked good too but that is because I provided my own homemade decorations. The bartender was nice to me but rude to my mom and guests. One of my guests (my boss) asked her what she likes to make, as in what is her favorite specialty drink and she responded, "Nothing." Staff looked annoyed to be there also. I tried not to let them ruin our night any further. Warning: These folks are money hungry and devious. Also, Barbi never responded to my email. Do your wedding elsewhere. Trust me. UPDATE: Barbi contacted our lifelong friends to discuss my Yelp review. This childish woman had no business contacting anyone else but me. She has my phone number and my email address. I even gave her several days to respond to my email and she didn't. This only further proves my point. read more

I had my wedding here on October 25th, 2019 and am finally finding the time to write this review. But I had such a great experience here that I wanted to share my thoughts with other people looking for an event venue. I could not have found a better place for my wedding. As I had a limited budget, I was thrilled to see such a gorgeous venue for such an affordable price. If you want to have a subtly dramatic atmosphere, the lighting at the Elks Lodge provides just that. The lights were one of the things I most fell in love with. We also rented the patio which has a fire pit, so I would definitely recommend doing that when the weather is appropriate. I had around 150 people at my wedding and the venue accommodated them all so nicely with room to spare! The food was amazing. There are many options to choose from for your meal selections - we chose three total. They have options for appetizers as well. We decided against an open bar but found the drink prices incredibly fair and the bar to be well stocked. Everyone loved our bartender! I had a fairly large bridal party of 6, and the changing facilities were perfect for our larger number. The mirror and bathroom lighting was excellent for putting on makeup and it would be easy to have an on site stylist. Another huge highlight to mention is the staff! Barbi is a complete gem. She was helpful every step of the way from our first visit to the venue to cleaning up after the reception. She provided decorations and helped me complete my wedding vision. In addition, she is a very caring person who makes you feel truly heard and understood. She let my husband and I come to the venue many times in the months leading up to the wedding so we could make a floor plan, talk centerpieces, or just do a final on walkthrough. She was very accommodating with giving us time for our rehearsal the day before the ceremony. In addition, we had time to set up the venue before our rehearsal. Overall, this venue is simply amazing. It's affordable, beautiful, and has an excellent staff on hand. I would recommend this venue regardless of budget or wedding theme, as it's an incredibly versatile space. I especially read more

We had our daughter's wedding here on 3/8/2019. I found everything beyond our expectations. Barbie even went and bought me a pair of flip flops when she heard I had a blister from my shoes. The room was set up so elegantly. It took my breathe away when I walked in before the ceremony. The food and the service were also excellent. Barbie walked us through every step. She stayed in touch and was such a pleasure to work with. I received so many compliments on the venue and the night. The food was great. The bartender was great. The service was great. I will recommend the ELKS to everyone looking. The prices are reasonable and not one person had one complaint, but we did receive plenty of compliments. We are planning my daughters wedding at Lodge #335 next year. Barbie, their event coordinator, has been amazing to work with. I was a project manager for many years and have already met with her a few times to ensure we have all the details down. She always returns my correspondence in a timely manner and is always cheerful and helpful when I request another change or clarification. My father has been an Elk for over 40 years at a couple of different lodges and also is a PER at a lodge in southern Az. Many times we have travelled together and always been treated wonderfully at the lodges we've visited. I look forward to continuing the work for my daughters wedding with the individuals at this lodge and have no doubt her wedding and reception at the facility will create a memory most brides dream of. read more

September 2019 we held our daughter's wedding at The Phoenix Elk's Lodge #335 The wedding ceremony was held in the larger garden outside while the reception was held inside. We used both the Heritage & Vista Rooms for a larger ballroom. The rooms have beautiful, elegant ceiling treatments, which added to the pictures taken by the photographers. From the first visit with Barbi, the Event Coordinator at the Elks, to the day of the event, we were treated with so much kindness; more like family. Barbi always took the time to answer all our questions either on the phone, by email, or in person. She had tons of ideas and suggestions and was a non-stop calming factor in our process. Even when she was experiencing her own life challenges with an ill family member, she was always friendly and accommodating. Words cannot express the level of just how Barbi and her team were so helpful and wonderful through planning the wedding. Her Assistant, Debi, participated in all our meetings, constantly taking notes to be sure every detail was attended; even through her own health issues, she was always smiling and helpful. From the front desk, to Chris on the set-up crew (following me around to be sure every detail was exactly how we wanted), to Mary, running the kitchen and even providing for our vegan guests, to the clean-up crew at the end of the evening, The Phoenix Elks Lodge is a WINNER! I have been a part of this lodge for seventeen years now and even though the decor is a little older it is still in great repair and you just feel at home here. The people here are fabulous, they offer pool tables, tennis courts, a pool, workout facility, racquetball and much more!!! Their prices are ridiculously low and have events almost daily! There are so many opportunities to get involved in here so if you enjoy community volunteering and camaraderie this place is for you...oh did i tell you they have a bar that offers the same LOW prices as their food?!!!! read more

Our daughter's wedding ceremony and wedding reception were held here on October 12, 2019, and we could not have been more pleased! Every detail was discussed (and reviewed) with us to ensure we got exactly what we wanted. The wedding arch was beautifully decorated with our daughter's wedding colors, which was a nice personal touch. Nothing was overlooked, and the service was outstanding. Barbi and Debbie were attentive to us all night to make sure everything was still going smoothly. The food Mary prepared was not only visually appealing and aromatic, but tasted simply outstanding; our guests were even able to go back for additional food! Due to a food restriction, the groom was served an entree different from the guests, which was competently handled with grace. Complimentary water, iced tea, and coffee were an added bonus to the delicious cocktails Al served. All the staff were kind and helpful and professional, and our guests were very impressed with the level of service we received.
