Tanzie be getting me in trouble with comics!
Michelangelo S.

Local Comic Books Genius Revealed! SITREP Wonderful local store features the comic book talents of local Seattlelites! THE SETUP My friend Tanzie and I were tooling around Broadway, and Phoenix Comics and Games (Phoenix) loomed up on our left. I said, "Comics! We gotta check it out!" Except, Tanzie was actually MORE excited to get into the store! There were some classic comic books from both DC and Marvel realms as well as an abundane of cult classics, for example, but what impressed us most were the local artists - both literary and visual - whose offerings had their own section highlighted. * I found the cute "A Day In the Life of My Cats" * Tanzie who hooked onto the snarky cards "Book 1: A Little Bit of Everything" The whole section was fun to peruse. THE LOWDOWN Phoenix is a great store for some comicfun!

What an exceptional bookstore !…read more Stopped in to see what it was all about and just a phenomenal selection of Japanese books, magazines, manga, toys and dvd's. I wanted to get some reading material for my japanese mother, but I do not read or speak the language. One of the clerks was able to come along with me and help guide me to purchasing 3 magazines and a novel as some reading material for my mother. They are imported from Japan, so they can be pricey, but not as pricey as flying to Japan, or ordering online . All in all, an excellent experience and everyone was very bice and extremely helpful !

At the time of purchase, I specifically asked about the return policy and was told that returning books would be "no problem" as long as they remained unopened in their original plastic wrapping. When I later returned to exchange or return three of the books 10 days later, I was told that I could not do so because I did not have my receipt. This requirement was never mentioned when I asked about returns. As a longtime member, my purchase is documented through my membership account, so it is disappointing that this record could not be used to verify the transaction. I find this level of customer service unacceptable. If a receipt is required for returns, customers should be clearly informed of that at the time of purchase, especially when they specifically ask about the return policy.

It may be hyperbole but Elliot Bay Book maybe the best bookstore in the United States. That's…read moresaying a lot but after spending a complete afternoon here, I am comfortable in my decree. EBB is have to visit if you are Seattle. Skip the bubblegum wall and the original Starbucks. If you truly want to see Seattle, visit Elliott Bay Book and you will thank me later. I wish I had more time to visit every section and shelf. I wandered aimelessly at first then found myself in Queer True Crime. I ended up having a fantastic conversation with a lovely human at the information desk. I don't remember their name but they even spoke with my daughter on my iPhone as I was looking for a particular book for my wife. I was also on the hunt for Etna, a novel but it was sold out. I ended up purchasing per a staff recommendation, 'Attempt at Exhausting a Place in Paris' by Georges Perec Reading the first couple of pages instantly transported back to Paris, a place I know extemely well, and I saw every bus, man, woman, child, server worker, and heard every klaxon and shouted obscenity. Do yourself a favor and search out Elliot Bay Book when you visit Seattle, you'll be supporting a local business and feeding your mind and soul.

I love this bookstore. There's a small coffee shop inside and places to sit and read abound. It's…read morebig and they've got a lot of books. The staff is great and they have fun recommendations. I like the location on Cap Hill which is by a lot of other stuff making it easy to accomplish a few things in one trip.

A Return to the Nordstrom Experience I Fell in Love With!…read more I visited Seattle, and there was absolutely no way I was going to miss a visit to Nordstrom's flagship store! As a loyal Nordstrom customer for many years, I've become increasingly disappointed with how the Nordstrom stores in my neighborhood have fallen short of what I always considered the true Nordstrom experience. Some employees are still old-school Nordstrom, and I absolutely love that! Others seem to be there simply to collect a paycheck, lacking the level of customer service that once made Nordstrom stand out. Walking into the flagship store felt like stepping back into the Nordstrom I fell in love with 30 years ago. Every employee I encountered provided exceptional customer service and genuinely made me feel appreciated for my business. It was refreshing, nostalgic, and a wonderful reminder of what Nordstrom customer service used to be...

Oh my, did I find a deodorant that I simply fell in love with at Nordstroms!…read more I have been dabbling in different colognes and deodorants... brands I would not normally purchase and I got a brand of deodorant I simply fell in love with that I got here. Terre D'Hermes is the name of the brand of the deodorant I purchased. It's a bit more expensive than what I am used to paying but this made all the more fun and enjoyable trying out something new. The deodorant rolls on so amazingly soft. It is just so silky while applying it. And the fragrance is nice and musky. If a guy just wants a hint of cologne and nothing too strong then just applying this would be all that you would need. Of course this product comes from France... still holding down as being the perfume capital of the world it's no wonder why this deodorant is so amazing.
