Great family style Vietnamese restaurant. Food was good for the location. One downer was the sold out of shrimp paste Must be good. Such a hidden restaurant. Food review will be in the pics. FYI , totally forgot to take a picture of the fried rolls but they were tasty. Service was great. Really friendly staff.

Parking: The place is located in a plaza. You won't have trouble finding a space to park. Inside: It's a small and cozy mom and pop shop that gives at home vibes. The inside has a few booth and table seatings. I would say no more than 15 tables total. Phở Tái Sách/ Pho w/ Rare Steak and Tripe (regular): The pho bowl came with a huge size portion of noodles, soup, rare steak and tripe. On top they garnished it with green onions, cilantro and thinly sliced white onions. The meat they used is very thinly sliced and tender. The tripe was also cooked well. If you have never had tripe before I would describe it as having a super mild taste and it's mostly there to adds texture. It tastes really great too because t soaks up the broth flavor. If you like chewy noodles or mushrooms with a bit of bite, you might like tripe. The pho noodles they used are the ones I love the most. It's a thin pho noodle and they cooked them perfectly. The broth is clear, has a good depth of flavor, not overly greasy and the salt amount they added is perfect. On the side they give you a plate of other garnishes, beansprouts, chili peppers, lime, and basil which you can add to your hearts content. Spring rolls: I loved these a lot. They were very fresh and stuffed. Inside the spring roll is shrimp, sliced pork, lettuce, basil, and vermicelli. This is served with a side of peanut sauce. Loved that the sauce had chunks of peanuts for crunch. Overall: All the staff are very friendly, and the pho tastes homemade and authentic. Definitely a solid go-to when you're craving something warm and comforting. I'm so glad I found this lovely gem! I can't wait to come back again. PSA - They offer vegan pho bowls and vegetarian spring rolls and egg rolls.

Does not seem like a grilled pork chop...

Very unassuming restaurant in the plaza with walgreens and del taco. The food does not taste like authentic Vietnamese. I ordered the grilled pork chop with rice and what I received was a smothered pork chop that is not grilled. The pork has a strange taste to it. If you are in the area and really need a Vietnamese food fix, I guess you can go here...

I got their combo #1 and a side of grilled pork, portions were a bit small based off what they were charging- especially the pho itself. The grilled pork was good, full of flavor. Pho was good as well but nothing out of the ordinary. They barely give you any meat in there though, and the bowl was pretty small. Maybe im just used to the big pho bowls. Probably wont return, as i can get a better bang for my buck at other places.

This spot is always poppin! It's a small, hole in the wall, in the best way possible. I always enjoy the food - I usually like to get their vermicelli bowls with beef, egg roll and I add shrimp. The spring rolls and lemongrass wings are favorites also. I love fish sauce and they give a nice portion for the bowl. They get busy during lunch rush and I've seen long wait times during the dinner.

My wife and I love Pho Vietnam. We are regulars. We love the Pho of course, but their Vietnamese egg rolls are really delicious. I recently tried their Vietnamese coffee and I will definitely get that again! The staff is always nice and acknowledges you when you come in and thanks you when your leaving

Waited over 20 minutes for 3 drinks...

I was drawn into Pho Vietnam Kitchen because of the poster of their drinks on the window. We had already eaten, so we just ordered 3 drinks to go. The full menu looked delicious though! Unfortunately, I will have to rate this experience with a 1 star. My family and I had to wait over 20 minutes for them... I was tempted to just cancel my order and get a refund. The wait left a bitter taste in my mouth. Finally sipping on my drink wasn't even satisfying. My lychee drink was alright. A bit tart but balanced by the mixed jellies.

Regular pho with rare beef

Small joint tucked away in a plaza, plenty of parking with shared stores. We walked in for lunch and it wasn't exactly too busy, so we were seated right away. It seemed like this may be a family owned business, so they are limited in their employees. It did take awhile for us to order our food, and once we did order, it took even a longer while for our food to arrive at the table. While we were waiting for our food, we even noticed that the kitchen behind us had many Cantonese speakers. So that already made me think that this maybe Chinese owned? Once we got our pho, I had the regular rare beef pho and my bf got their pho special. Trying the broth first, it felt like it was missing something. It didn't really taste like authentic pho broth, but tasted more like soup. The beef was also really thin and the noodles were okay. Although, the overall flavor and taste didn't feel like authentic pho broth. We also ordered these spring rolls with pork instead of shrimp. Those were pretty good! Although the peanut sauce didn't really taste like peanut, but it was rather dark and... not the same lol. Overall, this joint is probably something that could suffice your cravings, but there are better options to have in the SGV area.

Pho to go

Pho Vietnam Kitchen has been reliable for good Vietnamese food. The food's tasty and service is quick. We ordered takeout tonight, and food was still good. The large pho seemed more like a regular portion, but was still tasty. Banh mi could use some work, and chicken wings were kinda small, but flavors were good. Whenever we've dined in person, it's been good. Plenty of parking & reasonable prices.

French style diced beef

My boyfriend and I have been coming to this spot for years! It is by far one the best, cleanest, and tastiest places in west Covina. Obviously their pho and bahnmi is top tier. But if you're looking for something else their French style diced beef or vermicelli with a Thai tea, vietnamese iced coffee or any one of their hand made drinks are perfect for a hot day. The service is always very attentive and kind. I couldnt recomend this place enough, honestly a hidden gem.

Today I wanted to try something near me & we were craving pho so we came somewhere new! The Pho was good, 2 sizes (Regular and Large) they have lots of options, we got the spring rolls, The combo pho with beef and the Bánh Mì! the Bread for the Bahn Mi was Soooo soft! Not old bread, Which I loved. It tasted fresh, warm and soft. The spring rolls were really good as well. The THAI tea was a little too sweet for me but it might just be me. Overall Service was fast and the place is a little small but no wait time.

How long does it take to receive an order of pho, I have 1 hr lunch but takes me about 8 min to arrive at restaurant?

It's pretty quick. 10 minutes tops. Unless you order the egg rolls which take a while.

People have compared their summer rolls to Brodard and Summer Rolls!…read more For three, we ordered banh beo, banh xeo, pork spring rolls, bun bo hue, and a grilled pork rice plate. I guess everyone was right because the pork spring rolls were AMAZING. The egg roll they use inside is HELLA crunchy. Is it better than Brodard or Summer Rolls? Very comparable!! My next favorite was their banh xeo and rice plate. The rice plate is better than most because it comes with a fried egg! As for their banh xeo, it's solid and they add sliced onions which is something I've never seen before. The bun bo hue was good too. The only letdown was the banh beo because the wrapper is too thick. Definitely get the spring rolls!

I'm extremely disappointed with my experience today, especially because this is a restaurant I…read moregenuinely enjoy and have been to multiple times. This time, I ordered through Uber Eats and got the beef rice, seafood udon soup, and pork spring rolls. In the notes, I specifically requested both the shrimp sauce and fish sauce for the spring rolls, but when my order arrived, I only received the fish sauce. I also requested basil for my soup and received no basil at all. What makes this even more frustrating is that this isn't the first time my requests have been ignored. Whenever I order the spring rolls, I usually request no cucumber, yet they still frequently come with cucumber. I understand mistakes happen, but when it keeps happening over and over again, it starts to feel like nobody is actually reading or paying attention to the order instructions. Another thing that really surprised me was how one of the egg rolls was packaged. They literally put the egg roll loose inside the Uber Eats paper bag without wrapping it or putting it in any type of container. I honestly found that extremely unprofessional and concerning from a cleanliness standpoint. Food should not just be thrown loose into the same paper bag used to transport the entire order. It's especially disappointing with a delivery order because I'm not physically at the restaurant where I can simply tell someone, "Hey, you forgot my sauce," or point out that something is wrong and have it corrected. By the time the food arrives, I'm stuck with an incomplete or incorrect order. I genuinely like the food here, which is why this is so frustrating. I want to continue supporting and enjoying this restaurant, but there needs to be more care and attention when preparing customers' orders, especially when specific requests are clearly written. Between missing items, repeatedly ignoring requests, and the way the egg roll was packaged, today's order was extremely disappointing.

Growing up in San Gabriel Valley it's really hard to find a go to pho spot because they're all…read morereally good. After moving from San Gabriel to West Covina, this spot takes the cake. Their pho is delicious, clear broth, aromatic, just the perfect amount of salty and sweet balance that the flavors just become one if you know what I mean, generous portions and spot on. Seems family owned, same faces working there and they're all very attentive and kind. The restaurant is fairly clean nonetheless. It does get a little stuffy inside sometimes during the heat waves but when you step into any pho restaurant and it's 95 degrees you should already know what you're getting yourself into.

The staff let us sit where we liked as it wasn't too busy when we stepped in. After viewjng the menu we opted for the Vietnamese Crepe (Banh Xeo) and a bowl of the Pho with Well Done Brisket to share. The staff had the food ready fairly quick. The Banh Xeo was massive with the all the traditional fixings. The Pho was huge and we were given an extra bowl to share. The Banh Xeo is one of my personal favorite dishes of Vietnamese cuisine and their version is on point. I loved how much protein is packed in the crepe and the crispiness was memorable. Their pho has good flavor and the portions are generous. You can also customize the type of broth base you prefer. Overall, this spot is a nice little gem to the city of La Puente. One that my wife and I would return to and recommend to others. ( ^_^)b
