Four stars for Bun Bo Hue-the flavor was on point without the after taste. The vegetables were fresh and perfect for the dish. There was plenty of tender meat for those who like meat. (I don't). The portion was small, however, for the price. Our vegetarian fried rice was not great-3 star max. It was dry, the vegetarian ham was also dry and tasteless. Our spring rolls were fresh and soft, but I prefer the peanut sauce vs cheap hoisin. The place is spacious, clean in a large shopping plaza with plenty of parking spaces. Service was good! We've been looking for a pho place in the Poway/Sabre Springs area and this is it! We ordered takeout and had the pork and shrimp spring rolls and the chicken pho. Both were amazing! The peanut sauce for the spring rolls was some of the best we've ever had. The chicken for the pho was all white meat which can sometimes be hard to find at pho places, and the noodles were perfectly cooked. The egg rolls were so delish and they give you enough lettuce for them. I went with the Pho with rare beef on the side and a side of white onion with vinegar (if you haven't tried them this, you're missing out). If you want good pho, this isn't the place unfortunately. The broth is very, very sweet and more oily than most other pho spots. The noodles are stale (proportioned bowls but it dries out and texture becomes brittle and soggy when hot broth goes on). Had to douse in condiments and lime to balance out flavor. Price of 16 dollar average is also not great compared to alternatives in Convoy. Great, friendly staff (not very attentive but pleasant)! Only redeemable aspect of the dining experience. read more

I really enjoyed the dishes here. Their fried tofu was different and had this mochi outer layer that gave it a different texture. It was great and I enjoyed the tofu a lot. Their chicken wings were very flavorful as well. The sizzling steak platter was awesome. The meat was tender and juicy. Hubby and I each had a bowl of Bun Bo Hue, my son had a plate of rice and pork chop, and my daughter had a plate of rice and Shaken Beef. Their service was quite attentive, responsive, and friendly. We had a coupon, so decided to check out this relatively new Vietnamese eatery where the former Pho Poway operated. It was Sunday at noon, and we were the only dine-in customers when we arrived. We started with the beef spring rolls, which were very good. I ordered Phở Gà (pho with chicken), which was served with sprouts and very wilted greens, and was scalding hot even after adding the cold items. The chicken meat was pretty gristly (cartilage, veins, etc.), the broth not particularly flavorful. We ordered a couple of beef banh mi sandwiches to go, for a next-day lunch. They were very bready, not a whole lot of protein or veggies. With so many good Vietnamese places to eat, I'm not sure if we'll add this place to our go-to list. read more
