My new fav pho place in north San Diego and dare I say.. maybe in ALL of San Diego?? So glad I found this place. The pho broth is clear, flavorful and delicious! They stick to the basics here which I love. Pho broth with different meats you can choose from- rare steak, tendon, flank, brisket, meatball. They also have chicken pho and vegetarian options. Their egg rolls are also delicious and a favorite of mine.. a must when I order here. Can't wait to come back to try some of their other menu items like BBH, rice plates The service here is incredible! The owner/manager is the sweetest, cutest lady alive and super friendly. They were very attentive, always checking on us and refilling our water. Ambiance feels like a really homey Vietnamese shop. This is the place to take my picky Viet parents which is saying a lot xD Located in same plaza as North Park Produce, right next to Starbread, plenty of parking!

This is the best pho in the area! The crispy tofu is the actual best! They are mom and pop restaurant and the service is very good. I've eaten a lot of pho in the Poway, Mira Mesa and Rb areas and this one takes The cake. The shrimp pho with egg noodle is the best flavor of broth me and my lady have had! It needs no extra sauce it's just that good. We will def be regulars. It's soo dang good here and we love it!

The most legit Vietnamese in San Diego continues to impress with new items on the menu. Swing by! Super clean, great staff and family operating out best and no non-sense uber healthy Vietnamese right here in Poway! Follow the great smells and smiles!

We are always interested in trying a Vietnamese restataurant for the first time, and we stopped here for lunch while shopping in Poway. It was a good choice. For lunch we had ... Pho Combo 2, choosing Rare Steak and Brisket (4/5) -- Very good amount of meat. Broth flavors were good but could be more assertive. ($17.50) Hue Spicy Beef Noodle (4/5) -- Bún Bò Huế is one of my favorite Vietnamese dishes, and this version is very good: beef tendon, beef shank and pork hock with sausage, Vietnamese ham, and congealed pork blood. The broth was flavorful but not as spicy as I'd expect. ($20.00) Service was welcoming and good.. Being on a corner, the restaurant has great natural light. Decor is simple, reminiscent of restaurants in Vietnam. Parking in the shared lot was easy. Pho Tan is on our list to visit again.

Excellent pho in poway!! Service was prompt and attentive. Pho was hot and delicious! The broth was flavorful and the meat tasted of high quality! Excellent ratio of meat to noodle! Definitely a stand out for pho and a must visit if you are looking for excellent Vietnamese cuisine!

we got the bun bo hue, broken rice with pork chop, and vietnamese coffee. the bun bo hue was really good! tasted authentic spice wise but would say it was definitely a lighter tasting broth. their chili oil was really nice and i liked how they had a lot of variety in condiments. i like how they gave a variety of veggies, both green and purple cabbage, the banana root, and bean sprouts! they also gave a bunch of herbs! i would say the tendon in the bbh did taste a little funky but the texture was good. the broken rice with pork was so good! the pork chop was a little crispy and caramelized on the edges and had some char but was still juicy. the vietnamese coffee was good, but a bit small for the portion u get

Loved the service and the food. Our 2 servers were super friendly during our recent dinner. Always smiling and very quick. Broth in pho taste good and bowl is a big serving. Eggrolls were smaller in size than what I'm used to but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Pretty big shop with a good amount of tables.

This place is open late, until 10pm. We came here craving some pho on a weekday. The inside is a little small, but there were plenty of tables. You order your food on a tablet, and food came out really quick. The pho was tasty, and the egg rolls came out piping hot. Would come back!

Pho Tan Poway wonderfully combines modern and traditional elements of Vietnamese dining! My favorite Vietnamese dish is Bún Bò Huế (BBH) and had a good feeling once I saw "Spicy Beef Noodle" under Pho Tan's 'Specials' section of their menu. Pho Tan's version of this dish is flavorful and fragrant! Lots of lemongrass, fresh veggies, and tender proteins; I thoroughly enjoyed every part of my meal. My soup arrived to my table well before my beverage did, but once it did my lemonade was bright and refreshing. While I currently live near Little Saigon, I was extremely impressed to discover this Vietnamese eatery in the Poway suburbs. The dining room is clean and comfortable, with friendly and attentive customer service. Consider Pho Tan the next time you're looking for Vietnamese food around North County!

I really like this pho place! It's small and cozy and service is good. All their stuff I tried today were really good. I will definitely come back when I'm around the area

Was hoping to find an alternative to our usual Pho Cow Cali in Mira Mesa but Pho Tan did not live up to the reviews. I like ordering from a tablet but service could be more attentive especially when the water cups are so small. We ordered the lemon grass beef noodle soup and the Pho Tai. The broth in both soups just really lacked flavor. Spring rolls were standard.

I love how they open late night and close at 10pm! The service is beyond amazing, the owner lady is so kind to my young family. The food is amazing, portions are huge. I loved my pho and crispy egg rolls. There's plenty of parking and the restaurant is very spacious. I'll definitely be a new regular here!

So, I've eaten here like six times in the past 2.5 months. The bun bo Hue is probably their best dish, but they do all the main food groups (pho, vermicelli, banh mi, etc) fairly well also. They also serve Vietnamese iced coffee the way I like it; crazy sweet and crazy strong. If I could, I'd give this place Pho TEN stars.

After every attempt they made, they finally repeated back to me "number 5"... while writing down a completely different number on their handheld order device... If you put "number 5" on YOUR menu, and a customer is able to articulate the words "NUM-BER FIIIIIIVE", and your waiter can't understand that for the Fteenth time WHILE it's being pointed to on the menu and enter it in correctly, there is no excuse. If you want plain rice, it's an extra $2 per serving. Also fried rice for $14 with no meat? This is a very high profit margin. - the vegetables in our dishes were quite mushy like they were steamed and then sautéed again for the order. I prefer our vegetables to be fresh and crunchy.
