Chicken curry stirfry

This is the best Vietnamese food in Vermont!!! I ordered the shrimp&pork Goi cuon with peanut sauce for dipping and a chicken curry stir fry. Wow!!! What a meal! The rolls were so yummy. I wanted to drink the peanut sauce. The stir fry was chock full of tender white meat chicken, the veggies were cooked beautifully and had a nice crisp to them. And it wasn't just a bowl of green pepper like so so many other restaurants. This dish included broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, onions and red pepper. The sauce was Lucious and with the perfect amount of spice! I will definitely be going again soon!!

Grilled Steak (Banh Mi Bo)

I had never been here before and now I'll definitely be back! The restaurant itself was such a good vibe, it was so light and bright and clean and the perfect spot for a cute little date night! The service was super fast and friendly, our waters never went empty. The FOOD WAS PHENOMENAL. Very fresh and flavorful- I already can't wait to go back!

On a cold Burlington night nothing makes me feel better than a hot bowl of fresh Pho. Came in here on a Monday night. It was quiet and quaint inside. Only a few tables but luckily it wasn't crowded. The waitress sat our groups quickly and took our drink orders. They have alcoholic beverages but I chose to have a ginger ale. I ordered the Dac Biet, it came with medium rare brisket, flank brisket, fatty beef, and tendon. It came out quickly. Flavor was great and it was not too hot. Perfect for a cold night. The bean sprouts and mint leaves came out on the side so you can feel free to add as much or as little as you like. Good experience the only thing prevented them from getting 5 stars was they never brought out my ginger ale and at the end it took a while for them to bring my check after I was ready to go.

I took myself on a lunch date here. The atmosphere was welcoming and I was greeted by a nice person. I was sitting across from an amazing piece of art (see picture) I ordered rare steak pho. I was happy with the amount of sprouts basil and lemon they gave me The broth was good. I felt like something could make it next level. I'm just not sure what's missing. Overall it was a great experience and the food was good.

I've come to Pho Son a handful of times throughout my years of school here in Burlington! The first few times I loved it! Everything was flavorful and fresh. I tried it again last weekend and am sad to say I will probably never return. The chicken pho was very bland. Even the sriracha, hoisin and additional fish sauce we asked for couldn't fix it. Not worth the $16 dollars spent! The broth was completely flavorless, the chicken and herbs were okay but couldn't make up for the lack of spices. Servers were sweet, maybe it was just a bad day?

I Postmated dinner from here, & everything I tried hit the spot: Shrimp & Pork Goi Con - fresh rice rolls w/peanut sauce Chao Tom - sugarcane shrimp Thin Flank Steak - w/rice, pickled veg, nuoc mam, & salad. This was my favorite - super tender & flavorful steak - cooked perfectly medium rare as ordered. Generous enough for yummy leftovers the next day too. This one made me want to order it again a few days later! Everything arrived packaged securely, & fresh. Definitely a repeat!

Came here for lunch because my family's usual Vietnamese spot Pho Dang in Winooski was closed on Sunday. The food was good but the service was atrocious. I'll address the food first. It was pretty good. Can't go wrong with pho. The Ba Bo La Lot (Beef in Betel Leaves) was something new I'd never tried before. It had a unique blend of flavors, very savory and just delicious. The fried spring rolls were pretty standard, fried and tasty. The pho was very good. It had the amazing blend of flavors and is competitive with many other Vietnamese restaurants. It's hard to describe in words, just an amazing mix! The broth is good. Unless a restaurant really messes it up, you really can't go wrong with pho As for the service, they were very unorganized. We had multiple servers come to our table but none of them seemed to coordinate with each other. Our servers forgot our appetizers until we already had our pho. But worst of all, when they were clearing the table one of the servers spilled fish sauce on my mom! It was a major hassle. I hope bad service isn't the norm, and that they were just overwhelmed due to staffing issues nationwide and the fact we came on a holiday weekend. The food has 4 stars but service (at least when I went) was 1 star. I'll round up to 3 stars just to give them the benefit of the doubt that it was just a bad day to come. Regardless, I probably won't come back and will stick to Pho Dang.

The meat Pho with added broccoli and carrots. Yum!

We were lucky this spot was still open after getting into town a bit late - we were seated right…read moreaway and even checked it was okay to order as they were closing in about 40 minutes. After a long travel day we were happy to have some delicious food. The space was clean and had plenty of room to sit. Our server was very kind and patient. I love Vietnamese food, especially noodle bowls, so I got the bun dac biet. Nate got the spicy curry and my friend got the tofu noodles. We also ordered the dumplings to share. The menu is large and has lots of vegetarian options. The bun dac biet was a large portion and I was starving, but I even had leftovers (that were great the next day). The noodles were tender and the sauce was flavorful. All the meat was cooked nicely, and I loved the crispy egg roll. If I lived nearby, this would be a go-to spot for me.

To me the soup was to salty, but the wontons were delicious. So I cut them up with the meal. We shared a meal since hubs wasn't hungry. I cannot remember the name of the dish i had but it was chicken and ginger. It was delicious! I could really taste the ginger, but it wasn't overpowering. We also had pearl tea which was really yummy as well. I wanted to try some of the appetizers but I knew we wouldn't finish them all. The staff here ate very helpful and friendly and the restaurant is clean and well decorated. Check this one out if your in the area!
