I'm 50/50 about this Vietnamese place. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Very attentive. Place is clean and many customers. I like the soup from pho but I really don't like the chicken. Even the chicken from the platter tasted dry. Spring rolls are good tho. Crispy outside and flavorful inside. Small parking lot right next to it. Convenient for parking (free).

We were at Pho Hong for a Saturday lunch. The restaurant was pretty nice, clean and tidy. There were lots of customers when we arrived. It is really family run business, as we saw bunch of young siblings trying to run the tables and checkouts. Full marks to them for being so young and doing their job as well as adults. We started with the tom yum soup and spring rolls. The rolls were crunchy with good ingredients in the middle. The tom yum was decent, it wasn't as citrusy or spicy as I like. For entree I got the grilled chicken with rice vermicelli and vegetables. I loved the grilled chicken. But the quantity didn't seem enough even though I ordered extra meat. There was also way too much carrots in the bowl. The service was fine. Food came out in short time. There was also 3.25% credit card fee, that was not mentioned in the receipt or checkout tray, I only saw it posted in from of the register when I was leaving the restaurant.

We were staying in Burlington for a night and was craving something soupy during the fall weather. We were pleasantly surprised to find that it was an authentic spot. It was very busy but we were still able to get a table right away. Com Xuong Tom Nuong - the pork was very tender and very flavorful. I liked the slicked tomatoes and cucumbers to add some crunch. Pho tai - the soup was light and hearty. The noodles were good but the flank steak was a little tough.

We had a great dinner here on a rainy night. Rainy, slightly chilly nights just seem to call for pho. When we arrived the place was packed and we were lucky to grab a parking spot in the small lot. The wait for a table was only about 10 minutes as they were doing a big carry out business and so not everyone was waiting on a table and tables turn over fast. We shared some of the soft spring rolls which were delicious. They were packed full of shrimp. pork and basil with just the middle filled with noodles. We all had the pho with flank steak (#7) and it was delicious. The broth was perfectly seasoned and so flavorful. The bean sprouts and basil were fresh and delicious. The regular size was very filling. Since the large is only a dollar more we saw a lot of students sensibly ordering that and taking leftovers home in carryout soup containers. Service was great and the environment was a bit loud due to the crowd but not too loud to talk. If you want alcoholic beverages it is BYOB and we saw a lot of people doing that. We were food with just water and hot tea. If you do go the BYOB route it looked like they provide glasses. They do add a 3.25% charge if you use a credit card; they post this up front and it seems a reasonable practice to keep cash prices as low as possible particularly given the large number of students who are customers.

We love Pho Hong! Consistently great food, generous portions at super reasonable prices, and graceful, highly competent wait staff. Lovely casual setting where a wide variety of people come to partake. The Pho Hong wizards deftly juggle a full house and booming takeout traffic alike and are always calm, smiling, and unfailingly polite. I recommend the mango salad and tofu tod appetizers and the fabulous shakes. Too many great entrees to mention. BYOB for extra fun. Pho Hong does not disappoint.

It was a pretty cozy place, I really liked the amount of seating, the service was quick and the staff were very friendly. The food was AMAZING my friend and I really loved it, I do recommend! (I got the spicy beef and pork noodles and she got the chicken noodles)

If you come on a Saturday be prepared to wait to be seated, to get a menu, to get your order taken, to get your food and to get the check. We arrived shortly after 6, not left shortly after 8. When we arrived and saw the crowd outside we knew the food was going to be good and were ok to wait. Vietnamese food, once ordered, generally gets served shortly after, especially if it's pho or any grilled meat over vermicelli. Lets start that we waited 20 minutes to get called for a seat, once we sat down, they seated another table behind us. However they got served water before us. When the busboy looked over and noticed we don't have water, he brought the water and at that time I mentioned we were ready to order. He said Ok, and left. Left and forgot about us. We waited another 10 minutes for the same bus boy to pass by and ask again if our order could be taken. 5 minutes later, the waiter comes over, he's super friendly ama very nice and took our order. We waited 20 minutes for grilled pork over a bed of vermicelli, 5 minutes later the mixed vegetables with chicken arrived. After 35 minutes of waiting our pho finally arrived. When the pho arrived, we had to send back the mixed vegetables with chicken because there was a produce label mixed into the food. The waiter takes it back only to have another person bring back the same order but on a different plate less than 5 minutes later. This is very questionable now, it took 25 minutes for the dish to ever come to the table and after we identified that the vegetables were obviously not washed thoroughly. They poured the same food onto different plate and brought it to the table because the plate of food wasn't even hot. We all ate our food except for the chicken with mixed vegetables because we were starving. The bill was brought to us and we asked for them to remove the mixed vegetable dish. We had to wait another 10 minutes for the new bill, which they never brought to us and we had to approach the register to inquire. this place obviously serves good food, but the lack of staffing leaves the experience less than desirable. They only had two waiters and one bus boy, and one person at the register and one person bagging all the takeout orders. It's obvious that they are understaffed. I definitely recommending not going on a weekend during dinner time , if you want to try authentic Vietnamese food.

Fantastic pho. I'm normally not a pho person, but this place is a home run. I got the classic pho tai for $12. The large is only $1 more, but I thought the regular was enough food. The broth was delicious. It had a deep richness that is rare in pho broth. The noodles were the perfect texture. They were very generous with the meat. The tom yum soup was delicious. Very nice balance of sour and hot. I do wish they used straw mushrooms though. The staff were super busy, but were trying their best to serve everyone.

Found this restaurant on Yelp's top 100 New England list and it definitely deserves its spot. Came here for lunch and sat outside, only to have it start raining shortly after. The staff were very kind and quickly found us a seat inside. The steak pho (Pho Tai) we had was phenomenal. It was so hearty and savory and not too salty. The noodles were also super chewy and had a good texture! I drank the whole bowl, which I usually never do. Super solid pho place. Definitely would come back.

Good food good service, wait times was a bit on a higher side due to Saturday dinner times. BYOB was a huge plus. Parking during such times is tricky, although they had plenty space. Just FYI the front street parking was tight and saw a car bumping into another one due to the crunch. It ran away obv. Order wise - had the Pho chay - the vegetarian pho with veggies - broccoli , yellow squash, red and green peppers(odd) tofu. The broth was delicious no doubt but it was odd to have the veggies in it. We ordered the large which tbh is on the smalle The wait times on the table was also longer due to the rush, the restaurant had a good footfall and seemed pretty impressive and you could smell the broth fragrance. Mango salad on the side is quite small but tasty, the tofu summer roll that came with the side dip was delicious as well.

    Is so good!

The menu is large and has lots of vegetarian options. The bun dac biet was a large portion and I was starving, but I even had leftovers (that were great the next day). The vibe is clean, cozy, and casual ... perfect for a comforting bowl of pho. It has that laid-back Vietnamese street food feel without being loud or chaotic, making it a great spot for both quick meals and sit-down dinners. The service was warm, attentive, and efficient. Staff checked in just the right amount, were happy to answer questions, and made sure everything came out fresh and hot. You really feel welcomed here, which adds to the overall experience. For starters, my wife and I shared the CHẢ GIÒ (Crispy Veggie Spring Rolls - $5). These were perfectly golden and crispy on the outside, light and flavorful on the inside, and paired nicely with the dipping sauce. A simple starter done very well. For our entrée, we didn't even hesitate ... we both went straight for the pho. The PHỞ CHÍN (Slow Cooked Tender Brisket - $16) was outstanding. The broth was rich, aromatic, and deeply flavorful, clearly simmered with care. The brisket was incredibly tender, the noodles were cooked just right, and the bowl was generous and comforting from the first sip to the last bite. Pho Son continues to prove why it's a go-to spot for authentic, satisfying Vietnamese food. Three visits in, and the quality, flavor, and service remain consistently excellent.
