Been going here since my husband and I got here. Best place you will get pho. My go to is always the chicken pho and my husbands is the combination pho. The spring rolls are always fresh and the peanut sauce is to die for! The staff there are very nice to us when we go there, and we go there quiet often. That was One Great Meal!!!! My daughter and I ate in - the tables were separated very well for social distancing. Patrons order at the counter, pay , get seated and the food arrives minutes after that - hot, fresh and delicious! We ordered spring rolls- they were very tasty, vegetable fried rolls- also very light and not oily or greasy, and pho with rare beef and brisket- big bowls of delicious broth, meat and veggies- with all fresh toppings- basil, cilantro, bean sprouts, lime, jalapeño slices- really, really good! The restaurant was very clean and there were quite a few Vietnamese customers dining- always a good sign in my experience. The menu also offered noodle and rice dishes and we ordered pork noodle dish to go for a friend and it was ready by the tee were ready to leave. Overall - great visit. I tried this place years ago in 2017. It was a lunch break and the place was packed. I was rushing to get back to work. So the goal was to eat and go. I didn't pay much attention at the time. Or maybe it wasn't so bad Pre-Covid. Anyways. I finally decided to go back and try the place again and I regret it. That's $45 of my money wasted. The place is FILTHY. I mean like it has a coat of filth that covers everything. And it makes sense. When we walked in, they had about 6 people all sitting behind the counter glued to their phones. It took them over 15 minutes to finally come to the table and take our order and bring us drinks. And the place had 4 customers. Two at another table, and the two of us. The food was mediocre. The flavors were underwhelming. The fried rice looked like a 3 year old cooked it. Nothing about this experience was good. We paid and left shortly after we tasted the food. Safe to say we will NEVER be giving this place another chance. They should be ashamed. Vietnamese food is such a joy. And they completely ruined it. read more

Ordered food for pick up at 615pm, not aware of their actual hours. Google says permanently closed, yelp states 7pm, Pictures online say 8pm. Man picks up the phone says they close 630pm if I can pick up before that I said sure I don't live far. Went to pick up the order and some menus say close at 8pm some say 9pm. So I asked what time do they really close and he says yea 630 workers work 6 days a week all day and sometimes like to close early. I'm sorry to hear that but just some clarity would have been nice. He proceeds to add everything else in your drink but the kitchen sink. NO.. I do not want jelly or whatever else that is floating in the bottom of my cup. I don't want to spend my time spitting or scooping that stuff out. One time, he had to redo my order -three times- in a row because he kept screwing up my iced milk tea by putting those extra add-ins in there. Normally, I'm not the type of person to flip out about something like this; but, whenever I point out that's not what I wanted, he throws a major attitude instead of apologizing for his stupid mistake. During this visit, my boyfriend went in instead of me because I can't stand that guy. Unsurprisingly, he messed up again and got upset because he had to remake it. I enjoyed my large bowl after 4 spoonful of chili-garlic oil, good amount of sriracha, a little hoisin sauce and salt. The meatballs tasted oddly greasy like an old-stale oil. Our waiter seemed rush and unfriendly. Restaurant was 90% empty on Sunday afternoon. He sat us on one of the booth. We asked him nicely to move closer to TV, he was OK with it but he threw the menus on the booth and walked out. Rude. We barely sat and he asked if we ready or not. I went back to Pho Saigon tonight with a good friend that wanted to try it and it was markedly better than the last time. We ordered appetizer egg rolls even after they weren't very good on my last visit and seemed to have been previously frozen and not homemade, this time they were freshly handmade and delightful. I ordered bun thit nuong cha gio for both of us (she wanted to try it since I've been talking about it incessantly for as long as I can remember) and it came out before we'd even finished the egg rolls. This time it was just... better. Much better. And this time, the previously conspicuously missing matchstick cucumbers were present and fresh and sweet and perfect and just sort of made life worth living. Also present this go-round while missing the last time: fresh mint and peanuts. Very nice. The fish sauce was even better than last time, with lots of red pepper and perfectly blended. We both ordered Cafe Sua Da, and this time I ordered it "extra sweet", which made all the difference. I'll order it this way from now on at this particular Vietnamese Restaurant. "Extra sweet" here turned out tasting the way I've had it elsewhere. Only slightly bitter and smooth and really, really nice. I'll be awake until sometime next Wednesday. Different wait staff (and most likely kitchen staff) than last time; that is likely the difference between this visit and last visit. Marked difference for the better. My experience here at pho saigon vietnamese noodles in Killeen, Tx I strolled into this restaurant at right around 6 pm and was immediately seated. The friendly staff greeted me with a subtle smile and mentioned I could be seated anywhere. Setting down my bags, I went to the restroom. Clean. One of the first indicators of a good restaurant, and a good indication of hygiene. I noticed, when I went to the counter, that there was ozarka water bottles that they pour the water from. Another plus in my opinion. I was prepared to purchase a separate bottle of water and they have you covered. As I was seated, I took a glance at the menu. Quite a few options, I noticed the pho right away. Scanning down I didn't notice any veggie options and flipping through the menu, there were few added pages of dishes, mostly specials. The pho was definitely the highlight of the venue and the other options were supplemental. I figured, vietnamese = pho, so why not go with it. I requested a special order of pho with tofu minus the meat and they gladly accommodated. As soon as I was able to open my laptop to start typing this review I was served. Literally 5 minutes from when I was seated. Later I found out that the broth, made from beef stock, had been prepared MAX 24 hrs... not the best practice but at the same time its not a game breaker. Its on me for not asking prior to order if they had a veggie broth option. The pho was good with the added veggies served with it, a spruce of lime, and a few jalapeños. I did order a side of rice to supplement the food volume I eat and it was good, steamed rice, though it be white (its a personal preference to select brown when available). So overall, service: 4 star food: 4 star (taste made it but would like veggie options) ambiance: 3 stars (its very quite here but they have a news channel running which does not parallel a traditional pho environment) So overall I would give it a 3.5 star. Would I recommend coming here? Of course, if your not vegetarian. This is the first pho place my husband and I had tried coming here and was impressed and have continued to go here whenever we want pho. We get the Thai spring rolls and they are delicious especially with the peanut sauce. We get the young coconut and tai iced tea and both are super sweet and large. And great for their price. We order the seafood pho and absolutely LOVE IT. With all the different ingredients inside and the portion for what we pay I say it is 100% worth it. The atmosphere is decent. Not amazing but not horrible. The customer service varys depending on who is working. But the young man who is usually there is a good waiter and they are very prompt with bringing our food out. I don't believe I've ever waited longer than 10 minutes to receive either our drinks appetizers or entrees. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! I called an hour before closing to place a to go order. Not even 5 minutes later, one of the employees called me wondering where I was they closed at 830 and they wanted to leave early. He was incredibly rude when I said I was still 5 minutes away. As I was paying for my food one of the employees locked the door and stood there impatiently, waiting for me to leave. When I got home I started to assemble everything and found a fly in my food. The shrimp was not cleaned properly either. Save yourself the money and time. Don't bother with this place. UPDATE: I went back in to get a refund and he was ridiculously rude. After 5 minutes of arguing and telling me I was lying and that I "left the food outside" (what??) he gave me $29 back so I let him know it was $32 and showed him my receipt. In a super condescending tone he asked "well where's the spring rolls? I don't see any here. Do you??" I said I must have accidentally left it at home and again, being ridiculously rude he said "well then go get it. I'm not giving you money until you do" y'all. I would've been fine without the damn $3. It was the way he came at me that made me decide to drive all the way home just to get my money. When I got back with the spring rolls he said "give me your card and my cash." I asked why and he said "you paid with a card. Give me your card" there was no way I was about to trust this guy with refunding the money to my card so I said "I don't have my card. You owe me $2.98 so here's 2 pennies and I'd like my $3, please" he rolled his eyes and nearly threw the money as me. I wanted to punch him in the face. Definitely should've read the yelp reviews first because apparently finding bugs and hair in your food is normal there.
