I wanted to try a new place for pho, so decided to go to pho plus. We were told to sit wherever we'd like and we're given menus, but the service after that was slow and the (very nice) server wasn't attentive, as she was the only person waiting tables for weekend lunch rush. The pho is what you'd expect at any other restaurant. Our table had pho dac biet (pho with everything) and shrimp pho and both servings were perfect sizes to hit the spot. We had to ask for more vegetables for the pho, and wasn't able to get the servers attention. I eventually had to walk up to her to ask for additional ingredients, which she was kind enough to accommodate. The boba there was lacking in flavor (not sweet enough, boba balls were especially bland). The pho was priced similarly to other places $8.50 for dac biet and $8.95 for shrimp pho) TL;DR: decent pho, nothing special. slow customer service, but accommodating. Portions are perfect size. At first, this place looked pretty sketchy on the outside. To be surprised, it was quite clean and roomy. My friends and I were greeted by a waitress that sat us down at a table. We ordered the Autumn Combo appetizer a I ordered a meatball pho. The appetizer is delicious and freshly made, so careful, the fried food is hot! I'd say the Pho is just like any other I'd had in my life. At the end I ordered a Lychee Milk Tea w/ tapioca pearls. The size was equivalent to a large size you can get a typical boba place. The boba is actually pretty tasty too, but I'll just comment that most of the drink consisted of ice. Our waitress was calm and collected, checking up on us and cleared empty plates quickly. We were in the neighborhood for the first time and came in for bubble / boba tea. I decided on the strawberry fruit smoothie boba because it's made with real strawberries. So I am in TX, but I am craving for some Pho. I checked and this place had the better rating compared to the other places I found. I will try their special combination pho. ($8.50) And also their Egg Rolls ($3.95) So far, the staff are nice and friendly. They are all Vietnamese people which makes the place more authentic. Their Pho tastes "okay" but could be better. Their Special pho doesn't come with raw meat so the taste is not too special. Soup tastes good and not too salty so that's a good thing. Pho back home still tastes way better than TX. My favorite place to grab a "snack"- an order of the delicious cooked tofu spring rolls and an order of traditional shrimp/pork spring rolls. Sometimes I don't even make it out of the parking lot before eating one! The peanut sauce recipe seems to have changed since they opened, I like the new (less spicy) version! I was Pho Minus, so naturally I'd be attracted to Pho Plus! This small hole-in-the wall Vietnamese shop is pretty dang good! It's reasonably priced, with big portions, and fast service! I got a mixture of veggies, marinated beef and rice, which was plentiful, seasoned well, and a delightful dinner. The staff is nice, and very attentive. Our server didn't speak Vietnamese, but did speak Filipino instead. The service was friendly and attentive, as our drinks never went empty, and they were great about making sure that our dining experience was spot on. The decor is interesting, with lots of pictures of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, and world globe light covers that are interesting, but no sign of Vietnam. I was hoping for some Vietnamese ambiance, which cannot be found here. I wish they'd put up a poster of Ho Chi Minh or some scenes from Hanoi. This was actually my second time coming here. The first time I went I wasn't super impressed but the pho was extra good this time I went. I got the pho tai and the broth was so good. The noodles were all clumped together which I never like seeing but after a couple of seconds of cooking in the broth the noodles started splitting apart and I got to enjoy in the greasy goodness. I was very satisfied with the meal. I don't know what else I can really say about it. If you want a good moderately cheap comforting meal come get some pho here. I'll probably be back several times. Another little shop tucked away off a busy Austin highway . One would think, why not a full size restaurant? Quite simple, focus on the food and the customers will come. My go-to lunch spot when I'm looking for a healthy and flavorful meal that doesn't break the bank. They serve your traditional Vietnamese fare, but nothing extra special. I've had their pho, vermicelli noodle bowls, various goi cuon summer rolls, smoothies, and pretty much every grilled meat with rice dish on their menu. Solid food, always flavorful. Let's start with the broth. One of the best broth I have had in a long time. Full of flavor and it makes you just want to pick up the entire bowl and start chugging. Now the condiments: it had all the usual herbs and lime wedges available and fresh and plentiful. Next to the meat: The meat was the only thing I could complain about this visit. Barely any thin slices of rare beef, what was in there were in small slices. The brisket tasted like it was not fresh at all. I had to dip it in a bowl of hoison just to get that taste diluted. I am definitely coming back here for the broth and owner who was very nice. But I would like them to use fresh meat next time and don't be afraid to add in a few extra slices of beef. read more

Stopped by for some pho and bubble tea during lunch time. The pho was delicious and the bubble tea selection had traditional Vietnamese flavor options which I loved. Everything was tasty, the service was quick, and very inexpensive. The total price for two bowls of pho, a bubble tea, and Vietnamese iced coffee was less than $23. I ordered a bowl of brisket beef pho with a black tea milk tea boba drink. The pho bowl was a large portion for the price (~$7 for a large bowl). I liked that the broth was full of flavor and the bowl and a generous serving of meat. Of course there is a side of vegetables to garnish to taste. Their bubble tea selection includes green tea milk tea and black tea milk tea with boba which is very delicious. They also have smoothie boba flavors to chose from. We ordered the chicken and shrimp vermicelli noodle bowls. Lots of noodles, loads of veggies but sometimes skimp on the meats...just wish they were consistent on that. Otherwise, love coming here, the service is always great! Always friendly and pay attention to what we need. They do give a 10% military discount. I've had the chicken and the shrimp pho and never have been disappointed. The broth is always on point..we all know that's what really matters for pho. We have had every flavor of bubble teas on their menu...the only one I didn't care for is the avocado...but that's just me. They have something on the menu for every type of eater. Delicious Pho Ga, the flavors are great and the to go service was fast and friendly. My husband got Pho Brisket and it was disappointing. . The meat was almost all tendons. Yay! A good Pho place in San Antonio!! :) I haven't really tried a bunch of the other pho places, but I can say that there's a definite shortage of Asian food in general in this area. Happy to see some good places coming up like Pho Plus! Service and food were both amazing. I'd recommend the A2, which are the Vietnamese spring rolls, with shrimp and delicious peanut sauce!! So good. I also got the P1, which is the combination pho-- also amazing. If you like your soup spicy, ask for some extra jalapeños. Definitely highly recommend both dishes. See attached pictures. That wouldn't normally bother me that much either but they gave me a broth that was clear as water and when I tried it tasted like nothing. 2 stars just because they are my fellow asians, but i am definitely disappointed in this vietnamese restaurant. The service was subpar which i wouldn't have mind if their pho was good, but its not. I get it they cant be as good as the pho's i have tasted in Hanoi but I feel like its hard to mess up pho, but they did for me. Their broth is almost bland, they probably forgot to season it? I had to put three tablespoon of hoisin sauce which i never have to do - and this is coming from a person who dont put salt on her food.
