I placed a pick up order and they gave me one of the wrong items.. I normally wouldn't complain but I ordered a vegetarian appetizer and they gave me shrimp pho ha. That wouldn't normally bother me that much either but they gave me a broth that was clear as water and when I tried it tasted like nothing. I had to go somewhere else and order another dish to fulfill my needs. Won't ever recommend this place. read more

I came here with a friend for the first time and the restaurant left a good Impression . All the food we ordered came out fairly quick and it was served hot! I love it here, it's very quite and peaceful restaurant. There's also a lot of great teas and smoothies to choose from read more

everything is bland. the pho broth is just like a boiled water with no taste. i also ordered the taro boba, and unfortunately it doesnt taste like taro.service is ok! food is bad! read more

2 stars just because they are my fellow asians, but i am definitely disappointed in this vietnamese restaurant. The service was subpar which i wouldn't have mind if their pho was good, but its not. I get it they cant be as good as the pho's i have tasted in Hanoi but I feel like its hard to mess up pho, but they did for me. Their broth is almost bland, they probably forgot to season it? I had to put three tablespoon of hoisin sauce which i never have to do - and this is coming from a person who dont put salt on her food. There was barely meat on their pho, and there were no basil leaves to put on the pho. i paid 8$ for a crappy pho, here in san antonio, where in San Diego i pay 5$ for an amazing pho. - try it for yourself read more

My favorite part about this place is of course the food, but bonus points for how clean it is! Over the years I've settled for other pho places in town that were delicious but a bit dirty and had poor service. Pho Plus is delicious, clean and the service is super friendly! We've tried almost everything there: pho, bahn mi, vermicelli rice noodle bowls; it's all delicious! Their prices are pretty cheap or at least comparable to similar places. Again it's their cleanliness that stands out, and they have smoothies, shaved ice, and slushes read more

Kinda of bland....ordered veggie pho and it was flavorless...they literally just poured hot water over veggies. The banh mi sandwich required sriracha as the sandwich was just boring and lacked any life. The service was odd. Was hoping to find a whole in the wall. read more

The food here is excellent and the place is very clean and neat. The area is a little sketchy but should be ok during the day. Austin Hwy is still struggling to stay seedy or become gentrified and probably heading toward the latter. As Pho places go, this is really a 5 star. The owner and wife are ever present and are very nice and helpful. Prices are fair and quality of veggies and meats is excellent. Try it today! read more

If you're in the neighborhood and desiring Vietnamese food, this joint will certainly be adequate. The prices seem reasonable particularly for the pho, however less so for the non-soup options. We started off with the fresh, not fried, summer rolls. While tasty, they did contain something that was extremely bitter and unpleasant. The peanut sauce is served warm and was quite tasty. My wife got the shrimp pho. We added vegetables for an extra $1.50. The extra vegetables included broccoli, carrots, and onion. The biggest issue with the extra vegetables, other than charging your for vegetables, is that they were undercooked. The carrot, for example, was crunchy as if they just cut it. The soup was tasty and flavorful. The portion of noodles was large, and cooked very well - not too soft, not too hard. I got the grilled pork with egg roll and rice. The pork was tasty but the portion size I thought was quite small for the price. The egg rolls were crispy and tasty. Overall, a decent dining experience although they could do better on a few things as previously mentioned. Again, if you're in the neighborhood, go for it. But I would not be driving across town for it... read more

I love this place! Came here with a friend and took a bunch of soup to go that lasted me 3 days (even stretched it by using ramen noodles , just toss the seasoning packet out the window) I loved the French bread. I'm so used to the hard/crunchy/stale fast food Vietnamese sandwiches in Houston that cut my gums. Get their beef sandwich and combination soup. Dip it and float to heaven MMmmmMMMmm read more

Beyond amazing!! As an asian girl from Orange County, CA with high standards for pho and boba, this place is top notch!! Although no culantro for veggies, very generous on basil, bean sprouts, limes, and jalapenos. Delicious broth and very generous on meat portions! Even my husband who is still embarking on the pho experience ate mostly everything but couldnt finish all his beef. And i was so happy their black milk tea boba was from real tea and cream mixed instead of a powder mix. Plus the boba was fresh, chewy, and perfectly sweetened! The service is stellar as well!! Great people who noticed my husband still new to pho and asked him if he needed help or had any questions to let them know lol. We jus moved here so thanks to this place, im beyond happy here! read more

Just so so. You can easily tell this is not a big portion and base it just water with flavors. I m not recommended but you don't eat a lot like me you can go ahead try and feel sad. read more

This is just based on service since we did not stay to find out if the food is any good. Very slow. Seems as if they were making the noodles bowl per bowl. They seemed confused about what order goes to to what table. Alot of wrong orders were coming out and having to go back in the kitchen. Waiting more than 30 min for pho is something im not used to coming from Houston. read more

Lovely staff. The food is great. Pho is delicious. The smoothies are fantastic. I tried the Papaya and mango one. Egg rolls were delicious.

This place is fairly nudes located right off 78th across from Walmart. It's more meant for a takeout place however there are tables available. You can order ahead and food is prepared fresh. Staff is friendly food is good. I especially like the egg drop soup. read more

I stop in just about every other week. Don't let the outside of the building confuse you. The inside is super clean and staff is so friendly. You can tell they love their job. Food is on point and they take military discounts. The gentleman at the counter has even started memorizing my orders. Service is above and beyond. I highly recommend!! Can't wait to come back once again when my husband gets back from military training! This is the spot!! Laura (& Jose) read more

This is our go to location for Phó. It's close to where we live, we've always gotten great service, clean tables and we never wait too long for our food. The crispy egg rolls and the coconut boba tea are my favorite sides to order! I love their shrimp or chicken vermicelli bowls, I get either one, every time! It can get busy during normal "rush times" so avoid it if you're in a rush or not a patient person. The only downside (which I don't hold against them after learning why they stopped) is that they don't make the tripe bowls, which my husband likes and used to get frequently back home. read more

My friend and I both really liked this place. I ordered a bubble tea and pho. She ordered a bahn mi. We both liked our food. She ended up asked me for my soup because she liked it better than her sandwich, so we switched halfway through. Yes, she did like her sandwich, but she liked my soup more. She is a brat sometimes ;) personally I thought both were delicious so I didn't mind switching. We both would come back for some more yummies here. read more

What is wrong with San Antonio people that they would rate this place with 4 stars? The food is not truly bad. We ordered a rice dish, dry noodle dish and some pho. All of it was a disaster. The meat for both the rice and noodle dish was so dry, chewy and flavorless, I stopped eating after the 2nd bite. The fish sauce for both dishes were also terrible, which is horrifying because it's the only condiment for a vietnamese restaurant. The meat was chewy because they microwaved it. It was flavorless because the marinade was not done properly. The Pho was a nightmare too because the broth was like water with MSG and the noodles was a hot mess in one big clump. If your signature product is a hot mess, you should maybe call the restaurant something else other than PHO xx. I was visiting town and desperate for Vietnamese food. I followed other Yelpers and regretted my decision the second I ate the food. I know this is a family restaurant but they also represent the culture and food from Vietnam. There is never a good enough reason to feed anyone this bad food. No self respecting Vietnamese would eat what they made and find it remotely ok anywhere in the US. read more

this place would be okay in a pinch, but the pho lacked the rich flavors of a well done broth. The bun was okay but the pork wasn't that flavorful. I am spoiled by Pho Cong Ly. and Ausitn's 888. read more

Ok. So supposedly this place is great but they arr going to lose 2 stars right out of the gate due to customer service: 1. The woman who greeted me lied about having wifi. There is a aticker prominently displayed advertising wifi. I asked if I could use it and she saidbit was not working. When I checked available wifi it was there and very strong. If they ate not going to allow customers to use it they should take the sticker/sign off. 2. I needed to do a little work while eating lunch this particular day. She said sir wherever I like but then asked how long I was going to stay and if it would be for like 1 or 2 hours. If so she wanted me to sit at one of those really small tables that have two chairs but you can barely fit two meals on. Mind you, there was noone there! It was 10:45 am. Clearly I am not getting any work done here. The other waitress that took over was so much better, had I gotten her first, and she maybe didn't lie about the wifi, I would have added a star. The pho: Broth good. Should be more and served in bigger bowl. Okay I am nit picking. Chicken tough. Noodles good and basil and bean sprouts fresh. Doubt I will ever be back. Just not better than competition. read more

Located in what looks like an old small plaza, this place is hidden behind mirror tinted windows. Upon entering, the smell of authentic Vietnamese food will hit you! The owners were extremely friendly and overall service was great! No complaints there. I usually get Pho whenever I come here. I've tried Pho Tai(eye round), Pho Tai bo vien(eye round with meatballs), and Pho dac biet(combination of eye round, meatballs, tendon, tripe, and brisket. The broth was packed with flavor and reminded me of home. I came here at least once a week until one day, the recipe changed. I'm not sure what happened but one day I came in and it was bland and had no real flavor to it. I spoke with the owner to ask what happened and was told they had a new menu and new chef... :-/ Upon my request, I returned 3 weeks later and the recipe was changed again and tasted more like homemade pho but was never the same. Their original recipe was amazing, but the updated one is no longer 5/5 for me. A combination of service and food quality earns this place 4/5 stars from me. read more

I love eating here. The place is clean. Each table has it's own station for chopsticks, soup spoon, forks and condiments. The service is great. The menu is easy to read with pictures of favorites. My only complaint is the room temperature. I feel like it's hot most of the time. I've been twice and both times I sat in different locations and still felt uncomfortable. Their food is great but there heat makes my marks go down a bit. Maybe a fan to circulate the air don't know. I will still come here. read more

Delicious and Fresh Just stumbled upon this little cafe/ restaurant by accident. Prices are reasonable and the food is good! I didn't get the Pho but another table did and they were singing it's praises. I had the Chicken shrimp and spring-roll vermicelli bowl ( Bun) and it was really tasty. Lots of cucumber, sprouts etc. as well as a good amount of thinly sliced grilled chicken. The shrimp were actually battered and fried but otherwise went well with a little fish-sauce or Hosein (?) sauce to dip in. Service was good and Michelle the waitress was nice, taking time to make sure I knew how to "do" the various dishes I tried. Definitely need to make a return trip with a friend or two! read more

It's my first time so I can't really say anything concrete aside from that their Boba drinks comes from concentrated syrups rather than fresh fruits; which would cost more and will be impossible to preserve freshness. So far I give this place a thumbs up. Good place considering its Texas - not known for Asian food. read more

Very nice place. We hit on the way home as this place is on a busy Hwy and near a shopping center with traffic. Snuzzled in a side street. Family owned and very friendly. There are more and more Pho shops popping up all over San Antonio, and some are about $$ only, but these people have good Pho, they like to know their customers. Been open less than a year and have already made a good presence in the community. At the right time of day, it is a nice cozy spot of as authentic Pho as you can get. read more
