Not great but not awful but the customer service seemed to be a challenge which took a middle of the road review from a 3 to a 2. So the exterior itself could be cleaner. There is a back entrance which had dirty boxes and dirty used mops. We ordered spring rolls and even my 7 year old said they were cold on the inside. We got our pho and although it looked great it was just ok. Once again my 7 year old agreed. So after doctoring it up a bit we got a good taste. Wow. Pho-nemenol. So pho-n. So pho-resh! Pho Pasteur isn't located in the most beautiful shopping center, but don't even worry about that. The food is amazing and absolutely bursting with authenticity, and that's what matters. Of course, hands down, I had to get the pho. I chose the Pho Tái, which is Beef noodle soup with rare steak. Could there be a more fantastic soup on this planet? The menu says their pho cooks for over 12 hours, and it must be true. How else could there be so many distinctive flavors perfectly and subtly featured in one broth? It tastes so incredibly fresh and clean, which is what I love most about pho. It's such a pure dish. The steak was sliced uber thin, and being submerged in the scalding broth I watched its pinkness cook away. Cute little scallion slices and paper thin onions floated on top, and the waitress brought out a side plate piled high with fresh bean sprouts, jalapeño slices, a huge handful of basil, and lemon wedges. Yesssss. It was all perfect! Now, I'm not very a very skilled pho eater, and this is because I have yet to master the art of chopstick-ing. You're supposed to use your spoon to eat that gorgeous broth and use chopsticks for the noodles and meat... at the same time! I just kind of use my spoon to lift a heap of noodles out of the broth, and then I very ungracefully try to make it to my mouth. Whatever, I'm okay with that. But the dude sitting behind me was like a pho master, which made me really want to practice. I must learn to properly pho! If you're a pho eater you probably know that the portions are generous. My size small was pretty gigantic, and only $5.25! My boyfriend ordered the XL, the fool. It was like a cauldron. So ridiculously huge and only $6.25! You'll have leftovers forever. I'm not sure why I have only been here twice, and the last time, I don't even remember what I got, must have been years ago. Everyone on Yelp is speaking highly of their Pho. I did get the Pho but was disappointed for the amount of meat that I got. I ordered the Pho Tai Gan with extra Bo Vien which is Beef Eye Round with tendon and meatball. I counted probably 4 pieces of meat, 2 sad looking pieces of tendon, and 2 half pieces of meatball. That was definitely less meat than anywhere else I ever been to for Pho. Maybe it was my unlucky day? They do have a very extensive menu, so being the piggy that I am, I also order the pork and shrimp spring rolls, an order of banh bot loc which is one of the Vietnamese traditional dishes from the Mid Vietnam. It's these delicious, chewy goodies made out of tapioca flour wrapped in banana leaves with shrimp and pork inside. The flavor is on point. Have I mentioned the fish sauce to dip it in comes with real devil pepper?? The one and only Asian restaurant I have been to so far here that offers that! Their service is very quick and attentive. Another huge plus for a Vietnamese restaurant. They did make me feel like a fat ass however, for taking my order, then turned to my companion and just took his menu away without even asking what he wants to order. He thought I already ordered for him with the amount of food I pointed out, and since I was speaking in Vietnamese, he just assumed, along with the waiter who probably didn't think I could eat all the food by myself. Regardless, I have to keep coming back here, especially for the banh bot loc and to give their Pho another chance. Everything is very authentic and dirt cheap. I heard a lot about this place so I decided to try it out while I was in the UTA area. The building is pretty big and easy to find, right next to Kowloon. Parking is easy to find. Two doors one in the front and back in case you can't find a parking spot. The food: I had the large pho dac biet (combination). To me it was alright. It came out pretty fast, probably 6 mins? The soup was dark but it had a light flavor to me. I had higher expectations I guess. It wasn't bad though. The pho wasn't what disappointed me. Everyone has their tastes. I decided to try their yogurt. I love Vietnamese da ua. When I got the cup I noticed the top was alittle caked or crusted. There was also a wierd smell. I dipped my spoon in and it was super lumpy. I threw it out disappointed. It was obviously old. But yet they sold it to me... Hmm... Not sure I will come back, if I do, maybe to try other stuff on the menu. Definitely not the yogurt. read more

We ordered our food and without thinking about it, it was delivered to us within 15minutes. They made sure that we had everything we needed and brought refills without us having to ask for one. Extremely delicious pho. Probably the best I've had in the DFW area. While I'm not a good distinguisher of the nuances in the pho broth, I could tell that the broth was extremely rich and had lots of depth. There were some oil droplets floating on top, so it definitely was made from real meat parts, and it tasted very full but not too salty. The noodles were cooked well also. The best thing about this bowl of pho was the meat. I got the rare steak and well-done brisket (#15). Both meats were EXTREMELY tender and the steak was cut thinly. There was no fat on either the brisket nor the steak and there was definitely a lot of meat in my bowl of pho. Be careful about ordering sizes. The extra-large is way too big and I definitely was way too stuffed after getting it. I'd definitely get the large bowl next time. Service was very quick and it doesn't seem like this place ever gets too crowded so there should never be that long of a wait. read more
