This has become my go to Vietnamese restaurant since moving to the area a few months ago. Very friendly staff and there seem to be a lot of regular customers. All the food is excellent from the Pho to the lemongrass pork and bbq pork banh mi sandwiches. I'd like to come here every week to try everything on their menu. I will never come here again. I feel bad for saying it but horrible customer service. And the soup lacked flavor. The quality of meat used was all fatty and it made the soup greasy. We ordered the basic stuff like the combo pho and the lemon grass pork. The pork was mostly fatty and so was the flank in the soup. We were the only people in there and there was no to go orders and it took about an hour to get my food. My daughters came last and that was over an hour. I had to cancel that. The portions are small. If you get a large bowl of pho it literally has the amount of a small with a TON of broth. I asked for water refill and never got it even though I asked twice. Easily my new favorite Pho place! The beef pho (#11) broth is so delicious, buttery; the meat is tender and flavorful. The egg rolls are full of veggies and served with lettuce to wrap them in. Ordered the lemongrass pork chop for lunch for the second time in a row hoping that the meal would look like the picture of the meal. I pointed again to the young lady "This is what I'm getting? Pork chops?" "Yes." she replied. Again it was shaved pork, fried like bacon. I could hardly taste lemongrass. Owners... Stop showing the picture of the a plate of pork chops of that is not what you are selling! It's deceiving! This was a bad customer experience and I will not return. I use to live in the DC area where they have a very large Vietnamese community and I guess I was spoiled by their food. The food there was not only beautiful but it was delicious. Even the takeout looked like a piece of art. Sadly, this place is nothing special and expensive for what you get. This place is a little gem! The Pho is excellent and the Wonton Soup with Noodles is delicious!

First, I want to say that I wanted to like this place a lot. I gave 3 chances to this place and each time was just met by less than sub par experiences. 2/3 times I came here with my dad and we were the only ones in the restaurant. The lady brought us a menu and just ignored us forever after that. The first time there, we went to the register to order because there was an "order here" sign above it and we thought maybe that's how they do it. When I got there, she said I will come to you, I go to your table tot ale your order. Another 15-20 minutes later and she finally comes around. 40 minutes after ordering, still no food on the table. Yet, people who came in after us, "regulars" o assume, are eating their food. Again, I gave this place 3 tries. The second attempt was slightly better. It was incredibly busy, and again really long wait for food. For those of you who know Pho places--their food usually comes out super quick. Broth + noodles and meat of some kind--it's a pretty fast experience. Except for this place, that is not the case. Today was our third attempt to make it work. Again, the only two customers in this joint, except for a table I assume is their family. We get our menus but are ignored for 20 minutes. She comes out with the sprouts and mint plate with sauces and we think, oh okay, she is coming to us. Not the case, she goes to the table with her family and puts that down there. Now, that isn't unusual for family owned restaurants to sit down and eat together. However, in my experience they usually step aside to serve their customers or are closed during that time. Not sure what's the deal with this place, but I can not recommend this place to anyone. Not unless they have all day to wait for their food--let alone acknowledgement. Great options! Love the lemongrass pork sandwich flavor. Unfortunately the last time I tried one, the quality was very poor with very little meat and the pieces that were there had bones and inedible bits. The bread was over baked or stale and just crumbled and the boba was not cooked through. But we had been there once before when the food was much better, so hopefully it was just a rough day. read more

Pho NC Cafe is a Jewel! A must try restaurant. Authentic Vietnamese cuisine very reasonably priced. We were greeted warmly upon arrival and seated in a very comfortable booth. There were 4 of us including my wife, and my adult daughter and son (my son is a server at an asian restaurant in Birkdale and a connoisseur of fine asian cuisine: He thought this establishment was top notch!). We began with spring rolls. They consisted of a steamed delight of shrimp and freshly chopped veggies wrapped in translucent rice noodle, with a fantastic peanut dipping sauce, we had to get a second order! the main course included Meat Pho for my son. The broth was flavorful and complex, you could tell the chef had worked hard for hours to extract maximum deliciousness from the bones and veggies to make the stock. the meat was fresh and could be seen being poached in the steaming broth in front of our eyes. The classic accompaniment of bean sprouts, lime, basil and pepper slices was extremely fresh. My Daughter had the chicken soup. This was not your standard canned soup! The depth of flavor was a testimony to the labor of rich chicken bone stock creation by the chef. The base of the bowl was line with delicately pulled strands of tender chicken breast. It was also enhanced by the bean sprouts, lime, basil and pepper slices. I order Bun: Tofu Pad Thai, which is the best I have ever tasted. This dish can often be oversauced and heavy. Not at Pho NC Cafe: The Bun noodles were perfectly coated with the right amount of flavorful Tamarind that had the ideal balance of sour, sweet, salty, and umami! To satisfy the variable spiciness that consumers like, the dried pepper flakes and freshly chopped peanuts were placed to the side of the plate as neat piles so that the amount could be customized to satisfy the diner's palate. My daughter order strawberry Bubble tea as dessert. We were all graciously given individual samples as well free of charge. The tapioca was perfectly cooked with a very satisfying consistency, the strawberry was not overly sweetened as it often can be, and was very delicious for the whole table as a tasty dessert to finish the meal. The service by Stephanie and the manager was extremely attentive and courteous. The check for the whole experience was only $52, The quality and authenticity of food was well worth several times that amount. This restaurant is at the entrance of the Pennisula at Lake Norman, which is in an ideal location for sit down and take out for most Cornelius residents. I would venture to say it is even worth a trip for anybody in the greater Charlotte area! We will be regulars at this establishment for sure! read more

My daughter took me to a popular vietnames restaurent in Little Saigon for Banh mi. After waiting for 35 minutes, we got our order. It was well worth the wait. When I got back to Cornelius, I was in search for Vietnamese restaurants in the area. With the help of Yelp, I found Pho NC which was only couple of miles from my place. I went by to checked it out and got a boba tea thinking I'll bring my family back for dinner in a week. Well, in less than a week the Coronavirus fiascal limited restaurants to drive thru or take out service. Well, I didn't let that stop us so we ordered take out for 6. We ordered spring roll, egg roll, phos, pad thai and com ga nuong. It was as good as any restaurants in LIttle Saigo , in Calif. Pho NC has been opened for less than two months and got hit with the take out only service. I plan to patronize them and hope they will make it.
