I ordered a bun bo hue and they were accommodating to switching out my combo pho to it last minute...THANK YOU AND SORRY AGAIN!! it just looked good to try so i tried my boyfriends pho and he tried my bun bo hue. the broth was a great standard. I asked for a bit of shrimp paste tho and they added a perfect amount in for me bc i like mine slightly saltier. Not as spicy as other ones, so if you want it spicer I'd add some chili oil! meat was very tender, had some pork meat loaf, pork blood but wish they had added some tendons in mine but its all good. good amount of noodles, not cut up and small portions like pho saigon express which is the OG pho spot in escondido but lowkey they got competition now' Also they were playing some of drakes new album and other rnb music which is a pleasant surprise for me haha I recommend this spot since I heard it's new in the area and they were quick and polite with it. I'd come back (: ALSO tried my friend's order of fried egg rolls and they were flavorful! Pleasant surprise on that as well

I've come to this pho place 3 times already & as you can already tell, I'm obsessed with this place! The first time I came to try this place was because it was recommended by my client as the best pho place in Escondido, and you know I had to stop by if it's the hype place. I took my parents here and everyone loved their own dishes they had! Parking is spacious and it's located in a really open-spaced plaza. Inside, it's very clean and bigger than expected. Service is fast & suuuper friendly. Like they're very attentive to you. I ordered the P1 small and I think my hubby ordered the P6 large. My mom got the Crispy Egg Noodles with seafood and I believe my dad got the beef or pork rice dish. Food rating: P1 - 5/5 AMAAAZING BROTH, no seasoning and still the freshest beef flavored broth I've had in a long time. Very balanced meat to noodles ratio. Crispy Egg Noodle w/ Seafood - 4.5/5 very yummy! I was delighted that it came out fresh and the noodles were still very crispy even after sharing it for a while throughout our dinner. Pretty good portion for sharing but maybe even good enough for one person depending how hungry you are. BBQ Beef Banh Mi - 3.5/5 the BBQ beef was seasoned very well and cooked perfectly! Not too chewy and overcooked. My only dilemma is that the bread and sandwich size is a bit small. I shared this with my husband and it was perfect for eating 1/2 a Banh mi and eating my small pho with it. Try this pho place out! The workers are all so nice and even give free Taro coconut sampler desserts each time you visit. It's a wonderful surprise and the service here never disappoints. Food gets ordered and comes out quickly.

Best Bun Bo Hue in Escondido! This is such a convenient spot located right in the plaza with the Tesla chargers. Perfect place to grab a meal while you wait. You can tell this used to be a KBBQ spot because of the grill tables. The interior is now super clean and modern. What we ordered: Egg Rolls: We went with the half order (3 pieces). They are a bit smaller than your average egg roll, but they are dense, meaty, and very tasty. Bun Bo Hue: The Spicy Beef Noodle had the traditional cut of meats including the blood cube and pork hock. The broth was a bit light initially, but once I added the house sate chili oil, it was perfect. Com Tam (Broken Rice) with Grilled Pork: The marinated pork was the highlight here. Very savory and perfectly cooked. Overall, great service and even better food. Whether you're charging your car or just in the neighborhood, it's definitely worth a visit.

My friend invited me to come try Pho Luu a new Vietnamese restaurant that recently opened in North Escondido. This is a family oriented restaurant. You have grandma, uncles working. Everyone was friendly and super fast!! We ordered and our food came right away! Prices are also very affordable. The food was delicious! We recently found Pho Luu in our neighborhood and we've already eaten there three times. Wonderful food. The pho is great, the sandwiches (banh mi) are the perfect quick meal, the fried rice is solid, but I want to take an extra moment to mention their shrimp egg rolls: not only were they great, super fresh and very tasty, but they came with lettuce leaves on the side. If you like egg rolls but you've never wrapped them with lettuce leaves before you eat them try it next time. Next level. Highly recommended.

One of the best beef vermicelli bowls I've ever had

My boys favorite food is Pho and anytime they have a craving for it we go down to Mira Mesa since the spots up in Escondido we have tried just weren't as good. Received notification that a new Vietnamese restaurant was opening in the area and was excited to try Pho Luu. Came here and saw that this was the prior Korean bbq spot that must have closed down. Ordered two large pho rare steak , shrimp spring rolls, and beef vermicelli. Food came out fairly quick and it all looked great. Spring rolls had good shrimp portions and dipping sauce was tasty. Got my beef vermicelli and was pleasantly surprised how much beef there was. First bite and it was absolutely delicious. And no tendon or fat or gristle. My boys ( 4 and 2) loved the soup and devoured an entire large bowl by themselves. I am so happy with our first experience here and that we have a much closer option for Vietnamese food rather than having to go all the way down to Mira Mesa or convoy. Thank you Pho Luu!!

So it very rare to see the owner of a business try so hard to set things right. The owner (a very nice man) reached out several time to try to set things right. This is more than most businesses will ever do. He apologized for the bad experience and explained to me about the dessert. He was very sincere and invited me back to meet with him, which I did. Thank you Pho Luu (and anh C.) for providing above and beyond customer service. I understand mistakes were made but you genuinely wanted to fix it. I am happy we were able to work things out because the food here is very good and I can now consciously refer this place to family, friends and coworkers. Pho is our go-to for hangover.. so we looked up pho places.. when we saw this one in Escondido and close to home.. we looked it up and it looks like it recently just opened, so we decided to try it out. When we got here, it has a nice big open lot so there's plenty of parking so u don't have to worry about parking. There's also a Tesla charge station if u need to charge your car.. there's also other businesses around too. when we got in the pho restaurant, it's a nice open spacious area. They have old school music playing in the background which sort of puts me back to my younger years of listening to Celine Dion.. on the walls they have TVs showing different soups or dishes from Vietnam. I explained to my boyfriend what some of the words meant as he also observed around the pho restaurant.. we ordered 2x P1 ( pho combo) and 2x Vietnamese coffee.. the food and coffee came out pretty quick which was great, cause I was hungry. we were happy that this place actually have dipping sauce without having to request for it! Which was awesome for me because I don't need to speak broken Vietnamese to request for it. I started putting my concoction together when the server came over and asked us how's the food or if we need anything.. honestly, I haven't tried it yet.. and thanked him.. after putting my concoction together (dipping sauce).. our first thought upon sipping the pho broth.. it was definitely made different than other pho places (while other pho places use more aromatics for their broth) this pho broth was coming more from the meat. Try it out and see how this broth differs from other pho places. To each their own.. Also the tripe here is made better and does not have that rubbery like texture when biting/chewing it like some other pho places.. Oh and not to mention the worker/owner here are all very friendly and sweet! Love the atmosphere here.. After we finished our food, the lady that greeted us when we first walked in asked my significant in viet something but he didn't respond so I told her he's Vietnamese.. so she asked if we need to-go containers for our pho.. and I said yes, please.. we exchanged couple more words before going on our way.. as we were leaving it looks like they were about to have a car show or old school car meetup.. given that we had other arrangements we could not stay for it.. We will definitely be back to try some of their other dishes or another hangover bowl of pho will do! So glad we got to try out this place, and will be in our rotation of pho places to go

Hits the spot every single time. Phở Lựu is phenomenal. The standout is definitely the broth--deeply flavorful, aromatic, and not overly greasy. The portion sizes are generous, the ingredients are fresh, and the bowls come out piping hot. The staff is welcoming and the service is fast, even when they're busy. The most flavorful pho I've had in a long time! It's hard to find good broth but this one didn't need anything added to it. I walked in and ordered to go and the wait wasn't long. The staff were friendly and there were plenty of tables to sit at. I ordered the rare steak and brisket pho which was excellent. My friend got a beef entree which she said was delicious. We shared the egg rolls which were also very good. I would definitely return to try more! Maybe I will dine in next time. They had cooking videos playing on the tvs inside which was a nice touch!

Came here on a Sunday afternoon and one side of the restaurant was reserved for an event for the lunar new year. We were seated right away. I ordered the bun no hue and had lots of flavor. The egg rolls were crispy and delicious. My friend had the combination pho and he really enjoyed that. The food did take awhile since there was an event but they did address that and communicated well. I will definitely come back to try different menu items.

Definitely will be the regularly customer. I was there on the first day opening for to go Bun Bo Hue my favorite one. WOW It got my taste and impressed with the veggies very fresh. I decided to back to sit in and try pho.I know they will be busy for the first week so I decide to come at late nigh and Pho also so good too. The soup make me feel better after a long day at work. We came here today for the forst time to try. There are no authentic vietnamese in escondido, why i dont know. Mora mesa and clairemont and el cajon will give better choices and better taste. The Ambiance and service was fine. The food, the meat was hard and tough and had no taste. The eggrolls were over fried and became hard. The vegetable for the vermicelli dish was missing cucumber and mint. The fish sauce was not prepared tastefully, equal fish sauce, sugar, water and vinegar. Went two weeks ago on a Saturday and the service, food and prices were great. We ordered bun bo hue (5/5) and it was exceptional! We also ordered fried spring rolls (3/5) and a vermicelli bowl (4/5). Although it was busy on the Saturday that we went, they checked on us often to make sure we had what we needed. We went again on a Friday night, and although it was slow, customer service was lacking, as well as the flavors and quality of the food. I ordered a vermicelli bowl (3/5), and spring rolls (3/5) to share. Both were just ok--definitely not worth trying again. I have a feeling they add a lot of msg to their dishes, as I got a headache on this visit as well as last time. We also noticed the prices increased by a couple or a few dollars for many menu items. Things to note: -I don't think they turn on their AC when the weather is warm, which may have an effect on both their staff and patrons. - There is one bathroom, and it is well maintained. - Parking is slightly challenging on a weekend, but is fine on a Friday night. There are also many Tesla chargers in the same parking lot. - Their restaurant walls are a slightly bright blue color, which might feel overwhelming for some patrons. - They have many tv's on display showing interesting shows about international food and Vietnam. They have been open for 2-3 months, and hope they can continue to improve. I might revisit when I have a bun bo hue craving (and ask for no msg). read more

This is good clean tasting pho. And the condiments are plentiful!!! We got chile, fish sauce, jalapeño, everything! Got a punch card too. The noodles melted in your mouth and the steak tasted so good and not rubbery. Will definitely be coming back. It was a grand opening so lots of servers there are still figuring the system out. So no water refills or checking up on how we're doing. Expect to stop servers if you need something. read more

Tasty meatball pho. Regular size, fair size for the price. Good broth, just enough meatballs, a good serving of noodles, fresh bean sprouts for the garnish. We had a nice lunch, here for the first time. One other table at lunch, so not busy. I enjoyed my vermicelli, and hubby sorta liked his crispy chow mein. I was a bit put off when the server was annoyed that we called her over to ask for the check. She repremainded him and said "she was talking with another customer" (WHATTT?) They were BSing at the checkout. The dessert was gross, but some might like it. read more

This spot was recommended to me by family. One P1 large bowl was more than enough to serve 2. Their bánh mì with fish sauce hit the spot. Wings were crispy, flavorful, and the perfect size along with their egg-rolls. We found a new gem! Such a family oriented restaurant and so welcoming. Forgot to take pics the food was that good. My boyfriend and I love vietnamese food and this place was such a HIT! Some of the best vietnamese food I have ever had. We have been to a lot of vietnamese restauraunts, and this one definitely stands out for us! The people who work there are very kind and attentive and the interior is beautiful and clean. I wish I took some pictures of my food before I started eating, but everything was amazing from the food,service, cleanliness , and quality of meat/veggies . It's a family owned business which I absolutely love I felt like I was at home and the food was comforting . My cousin & I started off with spring rolls as an appetizer then I had the beef pho and she had chicken pho we both enjoyed our bowls . Overall I really admire the service here they brought us out free dessert as well & made sure our water cups stayed filled to the top haha . The only down fall is that we were only visiting for the weekend so I won't be able to stop by often as a go to spot but I know exactly where I'm coming next time I'm back in town ! I believe that they just recently opened up too so I hope they continue thriving and receive a lot of great customers/business !!! read more

My wife and I recently visited Pho Luu for the first time, and our experience far exceeded our expectations. From the moment we walked in, we could sense the warmth and pride that the family pours into their restaurant. During our meal, the son of the restaurant took some time to talk to us about how important it is to them to create exceptional Vietnamese food. It was inspiring to hear how much care and effort they put into their dishes, focused on staying true to tradition while delivering incredible flavors. This passion was evident in every aspect of our meal. The pho was absolutely fantastic. The rich, flavorful broth had incredible depth, perfectly complemented by the well-balanced seasoning and fresh, high-quality ingredients. Both my wife and I ordered pho, and we agreed it was some of the best we've ever had. It was the kind of dish that wraps you in comfort and satisfaction with every bite, embodying everything we love about Vietnamese cuisine. What also made our visit special was the outstanding hospitality. The service was friendly and welcoming, but it was the grandmother who truly warmed our hearts. Pho Luu is an absolute gem! Everything we ordered was delicious and full of flavor. We started with the 6pcs Fried Egg Rolls, which came out hot, crispy, and perfectly seasoned. For our mains, we tried the Grilled Chicken Rice, Grilled Shrimp Rice, and the Grilled Beef sandwich every dish was tasty, the portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable. Their drinks are just as impressive. The Thai tea boba was rich and refreshing, and the Vietnamese coffee had that perfect strong, smooth taste. We ended with their jelly coconut dessert, which was light, delicious, and a great way to finish the meal. Hands down the best pho in North County--and honestly, maybe all of San Diego. I've tried a ton of pho places around here, but Pho Luu is on another level. You can tell they actually simmer their broth for hours because it's super rich and flavorful. The noodles are always cooked right, and the meat is always fresh. One really cool thing they do is bring out a small sample of their dessert. Such a smart move--it gets me every time, and I almost always end up ordering the full portion. Pho Luu is an amazing hidden gem for Vietnamese food in Escondido and has quickly become one of my favorite local spots. Their Bun Bo Hue (Vietnamese spicy beef noodle soup) is absolutely delicious!!! the broth is rich, deeply flavorful, and has that perfect balance of spice and savory depth that makes this dish so comforting. It's hard to find a place nearby that does Bun Bo Hue well, so I'm really glad to have a local spot that satisfies that craving. :) You can tell care goes into the food and taste the quality of the ingredients.
