The food is always great and comes out in a timely matter. The service is great and they are so friendly. One of my favorite places to go!

My partner and I got pho from here twice. The first time, we got the rare brisket and the egg rolls. It was sooo good! One little detail I loved was that the bowls for the broth were big enough to make your pho in, so you didn't need to grab a separate bowl to make your pho! The eggrolls were so good too! The second time went here, we ate inside for a birthday. This wasn't so great. The music that was playing was not good, to be quite honest haha. It made the dinner a little awkward and it was pretty loud for a restaurant so there wasn't really any escape from it haha. The lychee drink from the bar (i'm blanking on the name) was fine.... it was truly just lychee and vodka haha. I don't know, it's really great food but the actual ambiance is a bit meh. I hate to give bad reviews, but this was so disappointing it feels like I should warn people. I did not have the pho, so perhaps that's where this restaurant shines, but it was a hot day & I wanted something else. It's like that old joke, "the food at this place is terrible... and such small portions!" I got the tofu spring rolls & the drunken noodles with chicken. First, the spring rolls: a little on the small size for $8, but it's Boulder so what can you do. The disappointing part was lack of flavor; it was just tofu, rice noodles, lettuce, and bean sprouts -- all of which are fairly bland ingredients. The lack of cilantro and Thai basil was a glaring omission, and the dipping sauce (not peanut, something milder, maybe plum?) did not make up for the flavorless wraps. I might feel differently if these were $5-6, but I've had much bigger & better rolls from grocery stores for the same price or less. The real disappointment was the drunken noodles. Absolutely no flavor whatsoever, and at $18, I couldn't believe how little they gave me. Most of their entrees are ~$18, and if that's how they're going to price them for what amounts to fairly cheap ingredients, I'd expect either large servings or impeccable flavor. This dish had neither; not even enough soy sauce to make it palatable, let alone garlic, spice, SOMETHING to provide the kick that this dish is known for. No basil again, or chili, both staples of this dish. The only thing I can say for it is they provided a reasonable amount of chicken, and a decent variety of vegetables, though those felt somewhat sparse compared to the noodles. Luckily, I ordered takeout so I was able to add a bunch of extra spices & sauces at home, but if I had been dining in I would've had to request additional sides & sauces in order to eat it. Granted, these are both Thai dishes being served at a Vietnamese pho restaurant, so perhaps that was part of the problem. Vietnamese food is generally milder, and maybe their pho and bahn mi make up for the other missteps. But if they're going to include them on their menu, at least serve them with Thai basil, cilantro, garlic & lime, ingredients which I know they have for their pho! I pretty much had to play sous chef at home to make these dishes at all enjoyable. The 2 stars are for the interior decor and kind waitstaff. It was a nice atmosphere, I just wish the food had felt worth the price. read more

This is my first time here and we will be back! I picked up takeout on a rainy afternoon because I had missed lunch. I love that they have a completely separate vegan menu and that it is clearly marked what is gluten-free. Their vegan spring rolls and sauce are one of the best I have ever had. the pho was average. it was ready very fast which is always a good thing but the soup base broth was very watery and not flavorful at all. When I talk to the restaurant about my to go order, they made me drive back to the restaurant and show them the food in order to get a refund. They ended up refunding me for one of the dishes. Even though this summer heat kills me most days, I still crave a delicious and steaming bowl of Pho. This place knows how to do to-go orders, especially for pho. Apps and Entrees are packaged great and much appreciated when sauces are on the side and no further instruction is needed. Apps: 1. Crab and Cheese Wontons: standard, yet the filling was very light, more wonton than anything. 2. Fried Tofu: exactly as it sounds. It does come with a side of peanut sauce which makes all the difference. Use it, or else it tastes like cardboard. 3. Veggie Eggrolls: could've been a bad batch, but the wrapper almost tasted and felt like card stock. Extremely thick and tasted of cardboard. The fish sauce could not bring this app back to life. 4. Spring Rolls: refreshing and delicious. It was a great example and the peanut sauce was a huge compliment. Entrees: 1. My family all got different "meat" phos. The pho is broken down into two containers. One big container holds hot soup and the other contains your deconstructed pho. The meat is placed into a ziploc, there is an array of veggies, mint, basil, lemon, and more! In addition a side of hoisin and sriracha were side by side (I like BOTH) but my family would've preferred them separate. The noodles were also in the box and once you are ready to eat, you dive right in. Its literally a DIY Pho. WAY TO GO ON THE ORDER FOR To-Go!!! My husband ordered a rice dish. This all came in one box and everything was delicious. He got the Korean BBQ rice plate, slightly expensive, but flavor was spot on. In reality stick with the pho and nothing can go wrong. The apps were a huge mis step and they did forget out Vietnamese Coffee. Life goes on, but did enjoy the take out overall. read more

We came in for their soft opening that is still going on until friday September 17th, which offers 20% off. The food was okay but extremely pricey (compared to what we typically pay elsewhere). Even with the 20% discount it did not seem like a reasonable price. We ordered two medium p#16 which should have everything but even with confirming and repeating the order back to us, they gave us pho with only rare steak. The meat pieces were very thin and few and overcooked. Not very many noodles either, but plenty of good broth. Sorry but good broth doesn't justify overcooked meat or stingy amounts of noodles or giving us both wrong orders. Their water glasses were also tiny and impractical. It's a 6 oz glass that they only fill up 60%. The majority of the meal we sat without water as they only provided 4 oz of water for each of us, and their server came around to only refill our water once during our meal despite there's only 2 other customers in the shop beside our small family. Either way it was our first experience and I think they really need to go back to the drawing board on the providing a more reasonable price and better service quality, while make small changes that make better sense like upgrading to a water glass at least twice what they are serving. read more

Honestly the most delicious pho I've ever had, especially with the grilled chicken. I also love the boba, my favorite is the Hawaiian fruit tea with 30% sweetness. I think the service industry is really struggling with staff shortages. Food was delicious and portions were generous. Would definitely go back here. My son goes here on a regular basis. I went in recently for the first time in a long time, overall I was impressed. The food was definitely very tasty, the atmosphere is nice and our waiter was awesome and attentive. There was a lot that I liked but a few things that I really did not. I did find it to be pretty pricey for pho... they only had one size for $13 a bowl, spring rolls are $6+ for either shrimp or grilled meat, not both and they charge $3 for a can of coke. Our waiter was totally up front and honest that a tip is automatically added to your check. This typically makes me so mad because I am a very generous tipper as long as I receive decent service but I suppose with the dorms right across the street, they might encounter super cheap kids where they feel this is necessary?... Maybe so, but definitely a turn off for me Overall it was a good experience, I am sure that I will be back at some point read more

This was a disappointing time in my day. I walked in at 6:04 on a Saturday night to pick up my order and noticed and empty house with 3 employees at the bar. The food was packaged up and I took it home. The chicken fried rice doesn't look bad. However, it smells like armpit mixed with feet and egg; the rice tasted strongly of old, burnt fryer oil. The peas taste like they've been sitting in the bath for too long. I don't know how else to describe the drunken noodles aside from Atlantic ocean water with hidden chunks of salt. It wasn't necessarily toxic or dangerous, it was more like someone was killing slugs on the ocean floor. All of my senses are perforated with a hint of salt and broken dreams. read more

The decor is modern minimalist and the atmosphere is very quiet. Maybe because we were there around 2pm? There was no music or anything but we rather enjoyed the calm quiet. shared a large combo pho with added rare steak and the pork dumplings. The dumplings were good. Lots of crispy dough and decently tasty filing. The sauce was kind of boring though. Needed heat. But then the star arrived and we are super fans. The complexity of the broth is amazing. All the elements you expect in fabulous broth to the nth degree. The meats were all fantastic, the noodles are well cooked and not over done, veggies fresh and on point. Our only complaint? To be honest the price point is higher than our other favs and the volume is smaller. I tend to eat about 1/4th and hubs eats the rest. I don't eat much but we left still a bit hungry. This place is my favorite restaurant, and that says a lot, being a career hospitality worker, having children w food allergies and being vegan. This place covers all the bases and with amazing flavors! It's the first time my GF daughter ever got to have an egg roll! They have a whole vegan section of the menu, which in Boulder, isn't as common as you'd think. The vegan pho has so much flavor and so many fresh vegetables, I'm addicted! The person who is usually working (owner or manager) is so attentive, nice and doesn't even get mad when my kids leave a bit of a mess. They have a big and versatile menu, and I've yet to be disappointed! read more
