We order a couple cocktails, they were both great. A Lychee Sour, and a mango Margarita, came out quick as the service was great. We both had soups and split a pork Bahn Mi. It is not sustainable the way it is being just a piece of paper. The food taste and presentation ranges from good to great. One thing that felt odd and out of place was menu item S10 Bò Né which includes marinated beef, cheese, fries, and other assorted food items. It felt a little off brand and different from the rest of the Vietnamese or Southeast Asian fare. The worst thing out of all the experience was the level of service and staff training. Many of the younger servers do not know what they are doing. The level of familiarity they have about the menu was inadequate. They were unsure about what some of the menu items actually were when they were bringing it over to serve it. Even if they may not be native to the type of cuisine being served, the least they can do is have an acceptable enough working knowledge about what is included in the dish and what it looks like. Proper anticipation and thought about providing the needed plates, bowls, and utensil sets was also just not there. We had to request for dishwares and cutlery several different times.

We're the toughest crowd. Plus, Yelp reviews could be very informative. The restaurant has a casual, low key atmosphere. The interior is a bit worn, but rather clean and tidy. We snuggled into one of the available booths and felt quite comfortable. The ordering process was easy and convenient. You simply write down your order on a slip of paper. Don't forget about anything. We took our time browsing the menu, and no one rushed us, which I really appreciated. The complimentary tea was, as always, a nice, welcoming gesture. We ordered two soups. The large size was actually massive. The 'Seafood Pho' was not bad, but I wouldn't order it again. I enjoyed beef broth, all the greens and veggies. Unfortunately, the selection of protein was rather disappointing. A bunch of tiny shrimp (some of them had a fishy taste), carved squid, surimi and something similar to fish cake were just not enough to be happy about. It should be called 'Frozen Seafood Medley Pho'. The best choice will definitely be to order one of the Beef Pho options. My partner opted for beef noodle soup Bún bò Huế. It was meaty with lots of beef, pork and blood pudding. I think his only complaint was that the soup wasn't spicy enough. What happened was, he didn't specify the spiciness level when ordering and our server simply didn't bother to ask. So it was mild and a little bland. The Egg Meatloaf / Chả Trứng was something new to me. The moist and delicate texture, with its distinct pork and mushroom flavor, was very good. It was a truly inspirational dish and someday I'd like to try making it. You pay at the counter.

Pho Ngon - The worst tasting: the worst Vietnamese ice coffee EVER! Bar none!! It was neither Vietnamese nor a drinkable coffee! Gross.

The new additions of banh mi and bao round out the menu by offering slightly smaller meals at lower prices. We've tried lots more over our many visit, and have yet to find a dish we haven't enjoyed. The Vietnamese coffee is a treat, with a deliciously sweet mix of sweetened condensed milk and coffee. In terms of ambiance and service - the restaurant is spacious and the seats are nicely spread out. The noise isn't overly loud and you can actually have a conversation while you eat. The servers are attentive and check in often. The only disappointment we've ever had is the day we went to get a meal only to find out it was fully booked out for a holiday party. Now we know to call ahead of time in the holiday season - it sees others love this place just as much as we do!

For appetizer we ordered their spring rolls and bo la lot and both dishes tasted fantastic and savory. The peanuts on top of the bo la lot was a great addition and spring rolls were nice and crispy, both are great options to start your meal. For my main I ordered the bun bo hue and my family all ordered their bowl of pho. The pho broth was nice and light but still had great flavours from all the pho spices. My bun bo hue was also delicious and flavourful. A great bowl of soup to warm up the soul during the cold fall weather. The pieces of meat that comes with the bowl was also cooked well and was tender. We will definitely return whenever we come visit Hamilton area.

Beef pho rolls - wow, these were really delicious! Fried snail & pork patties - these were really super tasty! Highly recommend. The texture is a bit of a bouncy chew, but in a good way. Bun cha with pork and spring rolls - this was an enormous amount of food for one person. I ate heartily, and I still had half left. Luckily, I had spooned my portion onto a side plate, so I could easily pack up the leftovers for another lunch the next day. Everything on this dish was delicious!! And the spring roll was impressively ungreasy, but crackling crisp. I was worried that this place would be too busy, but they always seem to have room, and the kitchen hums on all cylinders. This place is not far from my hotel, and I'm glad I came. The service was great- I was seated right away, and they explained to me how it works with ordering. The food came out freshly made to order and piping hot. It was pretty busy for a Sunday late afternoon, and yet I didn't have to wait long before my spring roll and pho arrived. The portions are decent, the quality is good, and the pricing is fair. They take cash or Canadian debit here. There's also plenty of free parking on premise that's shared with other businesses in the strip mall. Plus, the noodles were stuck together like one big tasteless, noodle brick. I couldn't even pull it easily with chopsticks. I thought I would cry seeing all the happy looking customers around. Most of them ordered soups. My partner's pho looked quite good, but, as he put it, "the broth was below average, the rest of the ingredients were average." Regarding my Hủ Tiếu Xào Quảng Đông/Guangdong-style Stir-fried Rice Noodles (number 606 on the menu), I ate all the broccoli. The shrimp were small and lime juice helped. I totally don't appreciate flower-shaped carrots (didn't eat them, plus celery as well), and the worst, the blob of noodles had no taste whatsoever. For me, it was simply a disappointing experience, but the menu is extensive, and it certainly does not lack a variety of delicious dishes.
