This place must have a lot of repeat customers. Pho Ngon is highly rated on more platforms than just Yelp. Trust me, I always look for Yelp recommendations first. We're the toughest crowd. Plus, Yelp reviews could be very informative. The restaurant has a casual, low key atmosphere. The interior is a bit worn, but rather clean and tidy. We snuggled into one of the available booths and felt quite comfortable. The ordering process was easy and convenient. You simply write down your order on a slip of paper. Don't forget about anything. We took our time browsing the menu, and no one rushed us, which I really appreciated. The complimentary tea was, as always, a nice, welcoming gesture. We ordered two soups. The large size was actually massive. The 'Seafood Pho' was not bad, but I wouldn't order it again. I enjoyed beef broth, all the greens and veggies. Unfortunately, the selection of protein was rather disappointing. A bunch of tiny shrimp (some of them had a fishy taste), carved squid, surimi and something similar to fish cake were just not enough to be happy about. It should be called 'Frozen Seafood Medley Pho'. The best choice will definitely be to order one of the Beef Pho options. My partner opted for beef noodle soup Bún bò Huế. It was meaty with lots of beef, pork and blood pudding. I think his only complaint was that the soup wasn't spicy enough. What happened was, he didn't specify the spiciness level when ordering and our server simply didn't bother to ask. So it was mild and a little bland. The Egg Meatloaf / Chả Trứng was something new to me. The moist and delicate texture, with its distinct pork and mushroom flavor, was very good. You can tell the restaurant is a bit old, but it is pretty well maintained. Food is generally ok. The biggest disappointment is that the soup for the Pho is not hot enough. For all the ups, there has to be downs too. I guess this was my down for the week!! I was spending my day in Niagara Falls with family today. Everyone ate lunch/ brunch but I haven't had anything and it was about 2 pm. Wanted something quick! The phone call itself was challenging with the non English speaking staff: which is still fine had they made a decent food. I spoke to 3 different people to get my order right. Fresh rolls with grilled chicken ( they offer 4 options) and Cafe Sua Da ( Vietnamese French pressed coffee with condensed milk.) Cafe Sua Da ( Vietnamese French pressed coffee with condensed milk.) Usually, it's a cafe dumonde coffee from New Orleans with a little bit of condensed milk, drip/ pressed to order and serve on ice. I love it because of it's strong French pressed flavor and If you haven't noticed by now.. I love coffee!! What I got was very light, I can still see the coffee powder/ beans.. with crappy weird milk!! Come to think of it, I shouldn't have put it in my body!! Even my family agreed it was awful tasting. Fresh rolls: they weren't the dollar store spring rolls but they might as well be. Ridiculous amount of lettuce, barely wrapped in rice paper.. one tiny piece of grilled chicken, 3 strands of vermicelli! It wasn't free!! Or extra cheap like $1! It was $8! The only regret was calling them directly to order. Had I known/ used an app like Uber/ DoorDash, I'd totally get my money back! I read a recent HARSH 1 star review and almost didn't visit Pho Ngon. PLEASE TRY THIS RESTAURANT! The review was unfair when the reviewer only had an app and drink and does not review the restaurant as a whole. I won't comment on other parts of the review I wholeheartedly disagree with, but I just urge readers to give the food a try. We had also ordered the fresh rolls (like the 1 star reviewer). However, we enjoyed the ratio of meat to veggie of the roll. The portions here are very fair for the price. My partner and I left happy with full bellies after a hike nearby. The side bowl of pho broth with the rice was also very nice and was a pleasant surprise. I noticed a lot of thought was put into the dishes we ordered - roasted peanuts (please let the staff know if you are allergic), scallions and oil garnish, chilli sauce brought to the table with the food, pickled radish and carrot. Got the pho dac biet large size...delicious!! The soup was so good. Better than any I have had in Toronto. Large is huge so I had leftovers to take home. There were generous amounts of meat. Unlike in most Toronto places where you have a large bowl full of noodles and you are dishing around to find a piece of meat. Looking at the place from outside, you'd never guess that this would be one of your best pho eating experiences! The prices seem average until the servings come. They're huge! The food is all delicious, loaded with meats and totally flavourful. You set up your own order from the extensive menu and when done, they come get it. While visiting Niagara, we wanted to do takeout and hang out at our air bnb one night. We decided on Pho and landed on this place. We went in to order, you fill out the order form yourself. I thought that was interesting, but didn't mind. The menu is HUGE. So be ready to spend a fair amount of time reading through it. We decided on the spring rolls ( a mix of pork, veggie, and shrimp) and I got the raw beef and chicken pho. Our order was ready in about 10 minutes. The portions are really big and the prices are very fair. We took the food back to our house before opening everything. We had a 15 minute drive back to where we were staying and the pho was still piping hot when we got there. I thought that was amazing. The food tasted great. We both got larges and easily had enough leftover for 1-2 more meals. We will be back! The pho is simply fantastic! We purposely did a detour to try this place after looking at the yelp review and it did not disappoint. The broth is flavourful, the meat is tender and a very balanced amount of meat and noodle. The pho came with a bowl of pho broth and you can taste the depth of the flavours. A lot of customers sat down at around the same time so it was a bit of a wait for the food but well worth it. We ordered an extra large well done beef and balls and a pork chop and chicken rice with egg. Wished we could fit more in our stomachs. The place is also clean and cozy! Staff are very nice and helpful. Their Pho are amazing!! Thank you Yelp for letting me know of this restaurant. The exterior of the building isn't very promising but first impressions were deceiving in this case. The interior is quite clean and cozy, other than the worn down booth chairs. Started the order with salad (summer rolls) which were filled with shrimp, veggies, and pork. It came with a nice peanut sauce. The rolls were good enough but not worth it at 4.50$ for two. Tried the pho and a rice dish with chicken, fried egg, and steamed egg. The dishes were awesome. The rice dish was only $7.75 and came with enough chicken for two people and a small bowl of pho broth. The broth was savory and just the way that pho broth should taste- wasn't overly salty like many other pho places I've been to. The chicken had a nice slight sweetness to it and it was juicy yet crisp. I will be back again- this restaurant is only a 4 min drive from the downtown bus station. Great quality for a low price. It was raining perfect day for some Pho. Ordered shrimp and pork spring roll, fried rice and a seafood rice noddle small size. The chicken and shrimp fried rice was dry perhaps should have stuck with just pho. The seafood pho had 1 piece of squid, 3 shrimp, 3 pieces of imitation crab. It was a size small and it was tasty. I've passed by this place a couple times and made a note to come here sometime since I love the food they serve at Pho places. Today I decided to get the Grilled Pork chop Grilled Chicken Fried Egg, and Steamed rice. I was so busy devouring it that I forgot to take to a picture of it (rest assured, it looked very appetizing and neat), the meat was very tender and tasteful, the vegetables were very fresh and the rice and fried egg were just about what you'd expect. It also came with a soup(?) and the standard tea. I haven't tried their noodles yet so I will definitely be coming back to try them. Additionally the waitress was very friendly and the place overall had a very nice atmosphere and was pretty clean. So my hubby and I LOVE pho soup. We've had it pretty well where ever we go. This place is a gem!! We had fresh spring rolls and an XL pho soup. We couldn't finish the pho. This place serves a True XL size. Everything was fresh and made in house! While the outside is a bit iffy, the inside is clean and fresh, just like the good. The servers are friendly and helpful. The broth in the soup is very savoury. The beef has the texture I'm looking for, and the noodles are also not to soft and not too hard, they are just nice. They don't fall apart in your mouth, or take too long to eat. They are a nice consistency. When you mix that with some nice broth and nice textured beef you get a pholicious bowl of pho. read more

I love this place and will be back here again. Fast service and great tasting pho. One of the only things that irked me a bit was that the deep-fried rolls were SUPER deep fried. Like unpleasantly deep-fried. Too crunchy and tasted too oily. The vegetarian pho was great - they have better vegetables than the other pho place and their vegetarian broth is much better than the other pho place - had much better tasting broth for being vegan (I find that the other pho place's vegan broth lacks flavour). They put more vegetables in the pho as well as better quality vegetables. The pho comes with a giant platter of shoots and Thai basil. The other thing that irked me was a small bug that I found in my pho dish. That kinda grossed me out a little bit and made me question the cleanliness of their kitchen...
