    Fried scallops.

First time eating at this restaurant in Western Hill St.Catharines. I've always drove by wondering why it's so busy? Now I know!! It was delicious. We ordered Spring rolls and fried scallops as apps, then had the pho! I got the medium size bowl and it was huge! Packed full of tasty stuff! One of the best I've had! I highly recommend checking it out. Note...they don't serve any alcohol.

The Vietnamese ice coffee with condensed milk... I got anything BUT!

For all the ups, there has to be downs too. I guess this was my down for the week!! I was spending my day in Niagara Falls with family today. Everyone ate lunch/ brunch but I haven't had anything and it was about 2 pm. Wanted something quick! The phone call itself was challenging with the non English speaking staff: which is still fine had they made a decent food. I spoke to 3 different people to get my order right. Fresh rolls with grilled chicken ( they offer 4 options) and Cafe Sua Da ( Vietnamese French pressed coffee with condensed milk.) Cafe Sua Da ( Vietnamese French pressed coffee with condensed milk.) Usually, it's a cafe dumonde coffee from New Orleans with a little bit of condensed milk, drip/ pressed to order and serve on ice. I love it because of it's strong French pressed flavor and If you haven't noticed by now.. I love coffee!! What I got was very light, I can still see the coffee powder/ beans.. with crappy weird milk!! Come to think of it, I shouldn't have put it in my body!! Even my family agreed it was awful tasting. Fresh rolls: they weren't the dollar store spring rolls but they might as well be. Ridiculous amount of lettuce, barely wrapped in rice paper.. one tiny piece of grilled chicken, 3 strands of vermicelli! It wasn't free!! Or extra cheap like $1! It was $8! The only regret was calling them directly to order. Had I known/ used an app like Uber/ DoorDash, I'd totally get my money back! Just can't get back that 20+ minutes I spent waiting on the crap rolls and crap horrible coffee. AVOID at all cost!!!

I read a recent HARSH 1 star review and almost didn't visit Pho Ngon. PLEASE TRY THIS RESTAURANT! The review was unfair when the reviewer only had an app and drink and does not review the restaurant as a whole. I won't comment on other parts of the review I wholeheartedly disagree with, but I just urge readers to give the food a try. We had also ordered the fresh rolls (like the 1 star reviewer). However, we enjoyed the ratio of meat to veggie of the roll. The portions here are very fair for the price. My partner and I left happy with full bellies after a hike nearby. The side bowl of pho broth with the rice was also very nice and was a pleasant surprise. I noticed a lot of thought was put into the dishes we ordered - roasted peanuts (please let the staff know if you are allergic), scallions and oil garnish, chilli sauce brought to the table with the food, pickled radish and carrot. We would definitely return if we're ever in the area again.

Legit pho in St. Catherines! Looks a bit sketchy from the outside, but a bit better on the inside. Interior looked clean. Food arrived shortly after ordering, portions in the pho were good, broth was nice and clear - non-MSG? They also had a homemade, roasted chilli oil, yum! Small size phos were around $8.50+/bowl. My only criticism was that there wasn't much grilled chicken in the fresh rolls. Otherwise, this is a great option if you're in the area and don't feel like eating something too heavy!

Ate this so fast we forgot to take a pic. It was good! We ordered the Chef special & vermicelli pork & fried springroll.

Very authentic. Good wait staff. It's not a must go but it's not a bad choice for sure! Good price to quality/quantity of food ratio.

Everything seems to be in order. Yummy, healthy food in pretty big portions/sizes. Well, the smoothies could be bigger... I ordered the Pho Dac Biet (mixed meat pho), fried spring rolls, cold shrimp salad rolls, and avocado smoothie. Everything was extremely delicious.

Best pho in St. Catharines. Broth isn't too salty and has the right proportions of meat and noodle. I will try the recommended vermicelli next. Minus one star for the building that could use an upgrade.

Pretty far from all the touristy area so their prices are decent. Exterior doesn't look too great but it's not too bad on the inside. Food came pretty fast and it tasted great. Not sure if they got one of our orders right though. Ordered the grilled chicken and fried pork with rice but instead of the pork it came with 2 fried eggs instead. We didn't say anything though to avoid having to wait cause we didn't have much time. But aside from that everything else was great.

Excellent Vietnamese food. The workers are kind and the food portions are massive. I definitely recommend if you are in the st. Catherines area

They have a hot pot side and a barbecue side and we chose all you can eat hot pot. They have lots of cuts of meat to choose from, plus fresh vegetable and noodle stations that are self-serve. We went with a dual pot of beef broth with spicy Mongolian seasoning and veg broth with Spicy Tom Yum. Both were great, but I especially liked the spicy Mongolian. We ordered quite a bit of meat (some beef tendon, sliced beef, sliced pork, salmon, and pork and shrimp dumplings) and it was all fresh and delicious. Veg included bok choy, cabbage, enoki mushrooms, and lots more, plus plenty of noodle varieties. They have a great selection here and there's surely something for everyone. We had a great dinner here. Everything was tasty and the service was friendly. We'd definitely visit again the next time we are in the area!

It's spacious, airy and clean - the prices were reasonable unlike other spots. We ordered the chicken pho, the pork chop rice and a vermicelli. The broths had a strong depth of flavour with a great umami punch. The portions were good for the price point... the protein was a little on the smaller side but not the worst. The best part... the washrooms were clean! There were 3-4 stalls and the one I used, wasn't moonlighting as a bathroom... win!! Service was good, friendly and kind... they didn't check in on us but they did have a couple of large tables so maybe that's why they were busier. We're adding this to the list and we'd recommend dropping in! It's a bit off the beaten path but plenty of parking. Sorry no photos, too busy trying to keep the munchkins fed and happy.

I would like to share some honest feedback from my recent visit…read more When I ordered the bún riêu, the broth didn't really have the signature bún riêu flavor. The bò kho served with bread would taste much better if the broth were thicker. Adding a little cornstarch to create a richer, more stew-like consistency would make it perfect for dipping bread. Another concern is that the bowls, spoons, and cups all had a very strong dish soap smell. It seems like the dish soap wasn't rinsed off completely before putting the dishes into the dishwasher, and the detergent smell stayed on them. This can be harmful to customers' health and also makes the food less enjoyable. The restaurant itself is clean, and the service is very good. My only issue is the strong dish-soap smell on the utensils and dishes -- it really takes away my appetite.
