Probably the best Pho in town! A must try if you like Pho or Bahn Mi. Large and clean space that can accommodate a lot of people. The staff were very welcoming from the time we stepped in the door. We ordered a couple pho's, a Bahn Mi and some rolls. They all came out super fast, less than 10 min. The Pho was amazing and such a huge serving size for small! I came here specifically to try the banh mi. This is the only Vietnamese restaurant in the entire Niagara region that has a banh mi menu. I ordered the grilled pork and my friend ordered the roast pork banh mis. The baguette was toasted which was nice. But the pork the filling in both sandwiches was just so-so and nothing special. Average Vietnamese pho restaurant with open concept seating. Typically when you place your order you get appetizers, drinks, and mains all served at the same time. I ordered the rare beef and tendon pho which had a decent flavored broth and rare beef (often well done when you get it). My favourite go to restaurant when I'm in the st catherines area. I'm so thankful that my girlfriend took me here. I mean come on, who doesn't like pho? Broth is delicious at this location, I have unfortunately experienced bad pho, yes it's a thing, yes it's surprisingly easy to completely mess up, I'm glad to clarify that this place has yet messed anything up. Pricing is cheaper than Toronto shops, as expected, so that makes coming here even better for me. Get a large bowl, which can easily be split among 3 people, for 10$. Toronto, take notes. Let's just say I enjoyed the soup more than the spring rolls. The spring rolls weren't the traditional vietnamese style spring rolls. Also did not receive the sauce that usually comes with the spring rolls. It had some special, I expensive vietnames sandwiches on a different menu. The soups were $8.99 and the two spring rolls were $5.99. The sandwiches were $4.99. If I'm in St. Catharines visiting friends we'll usually always come to this place. It's right next to a very little Asian grocery store (the size of a convenience store) which is great to pick up things that aren't usually accessible in the area. I get the Pho Thai with shrimp and beef which is my new favorite and my vegan friend got the Pho veg with fried tofu and we shared vegetarian fresh rolls. Dying to not get stuck in those American franchise, burger and pub food joints, we stopped by here after shopping at the outlet. It was a cold evening for June, and this pho totally hit the spot. Pho is always good at this location but the service had always been inconsistent. At times the service is very slow and other times it's pretty fast. Price is cheap Bad experience with customer service. Brought my family in for dinner and my four year old daughter wanted to sit in the front but the server insisted we should sit in the back. Went to the back to see if there was any room and it was very busy. We decided to sit in the front where my daughter had wished and I could see the server giving us dirty looks. After taking our order we waited about 30 min until they served our food. I found out the reason why they were doing this was so that they could clean the first half of the restaurant so they could leave earlier. In my books customer service is everything. In this scenario I felt very uncomfortable and rushed to eat my food so they could clean. 5 stars for pho but had to take 2 for the lack of better customer service read more

As a customer for the Pho Dau Bo in Mississauga, I had to try this location while on vacation. The pho was absolutely delicious, pretty much the same as in the Mississauga location. The hot flavourful broth is perfect with lime and basil plate they give as a condiment. The Cha Gio (vietnamese spring rolls) is not traditional here, it was very chinese like because they used a different wrapper that is not as crunchy as the rice wrapper. I show up, they have no record of my order, then she proceeds to put it in while she's on the phone as if she found it. Takes 15 minutes extra of waiting. If I could do half stars, this place would get 3.5. It's a solidly good restaurant and the food is yum, but I'm just not impressed enough for 4 stars. I've only had Pho from this restaurant (and it is good!), but they have an extensive menu of various other Vietnamese food and drinks. Actually, I've had a shake too. Don't let its stinky-fruit reputation precede it, the Durian shake was good! (If you don't know, google it!) My coworker enjoyed her beef with vermicelli noodles and I hear the spring rolls are also good. In my personal experience, the food is fresh, tasty and comes quickly (although don't expect your whole table to get served at the same time, the food comes when it is ready!). A medium pho order was enough for 2 meals for me and the rare beef pho costs less than $7. Oh! But keep in mind, there is a fee for using credit/debit if your bill is less than $10. The waitstaff are attentive, but they don't hover. If you need something or want to order more food, you'll probably have to flag them over. I would recommend this place for a quick lunch, tasty take-out or a dinner with friends (and sharing to try different foods). read more

Prices are good, pho is ok, I went at night and was told that there was only enough tapioca for ONE bubble tea which is odd... We ended getting the "last one" and that had enough tapioca for two... This place is not for you if you're VNmese and this review only apply for VNmese. NONE of the clientelles here are oriental so don't expect real pho flavor or all the typical vegetables. If you can drive to other Dau Bo locations you'll get much better pho and much better egg noodle. read more

A late review, we went here a month or so ago. Before I start, the people that gave this place any more than two stars, well they must be sheep or not very well versed in Vietnamese food... Holy crap if this was another experience I could give a negative rating to, I would!! Where to begin... well, I wrote another review on the Mississauga location. Ok it wasn't great, but we were in St. Cats and I agreed to give this chain one more try. I REGRET EVERY MINUTE OF IT. We meticulously wrote the orders down so they couldn't possibly screw it up. Up comes a tray with what appears to be a wrong order. "That isn't our order" we say. The girl looks confused. "No, that is not the bun bo hue, and that is not the vermicelli (bun), that is the wrong order"... Girl goes back to kitchen, comes back with same order... we say "no sorry that is still not our order, there is no bun or bo hue on that tray"... girl says "you mean the dry stuff, you want that?" -- HUH?? The "dry stuff"?? You're Vietnamese and you call it the "dry stuff"?? Just because I am not Asian, don't play me for a fool for god's sakes. She yells to the kitchen, goes away, comes back finally with the "dry stuff" -- and keeps insisting that the other bowl was the bo hue... it looked absolutely NOTHING like the bo hue we have had at many Viet restaurants from east to west coasts... We were getting totally annoyed and we were hungry, so my dining partner agreed to taste his soup to see if it was at least acceptable. He was willing to just eat it, and I as well even with the really gross looking "meat log" on my dish of the "dry stuff" (which I have never seen before at ANY Viet restaurant). The description of my dish was supposed to have "grilled beef meatballs" like the little beef balls that go in the pho... but I got some wierd looking meat log, it looked like a big turd. So I call a manager, and we say "this is not bo hue, what is this, and what is this meat log?" She says "that is how we make it, do you want more sauce in it, we can put more sauce if you want more flavor?" HUH?? More sauce?? What freaking sauce?? Holy mother of god help me. Bo hue is an entirely different recipe than regular pho. it didn't even have the correct meats in it, tasted and smelled nothing like bo hue. More sauce?? WTF?? But wait.. it gets better... We got some rolls as well, fresh and fried. "Where's the dipping sauces?" I ask... manager points to the condiments on the table and says "there!"... "where?" I say... she says "there, you can mix yourself"... FACEPALM. A bottle of fish sauce and rice vinegar. MIX IT MYSELF. Are you f*cking kidding me right now? I have never EVER ordered cha gios and did not receive a small dish of dressing with them, let alone be told to "mix it myself".... SUPER ANNOYED right now, the lady says "if you want it like how you know it you have to go to the other restaurant because we do it different here".... WHATTT?!?! We say "but this is a chain, why is it different?" - she says "no, we not a chain, we own separately" -- WHHHHAAAT??? Everywhere in this stinking restaurant, they are sooo proud of their STOLEN trademark, advertise as a chain with many different locations... holy hell these people are effing crazy. Disgusted and fed up, I said "lets get the hell out of here right now I'm not giving this place one cent" - we left that stinking food on the table and walked out and will NEVER EVER even think about going back there EVER. How have I never tried the soup!? Have eaten here before but for some reason never tried the soup. Well today that changed. Three of us got beef noodle, wonton and vegetable soups and the flavour and size was incredible and we only got the medium sizes! For an average person at lunch the small would more than suffice. Love the Pho here and the veg fried rice. Great place for lunch and the portions are quite generous. The medium size Pho is enough for 2 to share. Prices are reasonable and service is fast. My wife and I go quite often for lunch. Atmosphere is ok but the food makes up for it. There is also free tea when you sit down to eat. read more
