This place is the best! I've tried Pho from a few different restaurants, yet nothing quite hits the mark like this place. There are a few reasons why I like this place so much. The first reason being their crispy egg rolls with sweet/sour dipping sauce. Lawdddd that stuff is to die for (and addicting!). The last time I was here I ordered 2 orders of the egg rolls... they're that good. The second thing that I love about this place is the different sauces/condiments that you can put in your pho. They have a hoisin sauce, sriracha, chili paste, soy sauce, etc. All are a good addition. To top it off, their servings are large and filled with all the good stuff. I order the vegetable pho when I come here and it comes with onions, broccoli, carrots, bean sprouts, spinach, and a ton of noodles, which I love. The only downside to this place is that they do not serve beer, wine or any other form of alcohol. Pho Hot is killing the competition for pho spots in Roseville! I came in with my dad and sister during lunch time and there were quite a few customers for it being a weekday. We ordered spring rolls and a bowl of pho each. The spring rolls were good; the right ingredients were in the roll and they used the fatty pork so it was tasty! The dipping sauce though....oh lord it was like straight peanut butter. I had to squeeze in extra hoisin sauce to make it work. The pho was quite delicious. The small bowl of pho ($6.50) was much larger than expected and they hooked it up with the meat. I always order extra tendons and they were generous with that also. The broth was really good, however it smelled and tasted strongly of star of anise. It wasn't bad but my dad said it became overwhelming for him. There wasn't any one specific experience I've had that makes me give this place a two star rating, it's just the quality of the food that is really subpar. Full disclosure, I have not had the soup here, but I have ordered the combination fried rice and the pork rice platter. In the pork rice platter, The steamed white rice was a little dry, the cucumber slices were soft and not crunchy, and the pork was a couple of extremely thin slices that were not flavorful. The fried rice was very bland, which is surprising for fried rice. My husband and I would go out of our way just to come here for their bun rieu. We always order their bun rieu and have not tried much of their other items therefore my 5 stars is based on this one delicious item on their menu. Their crab cake is different compared to other Vietnamese restaurants - potent in flavor, sweet, and just filled with deliciousness. They have consistently served it at a hot and enjoyable temperature (hence their name?). We are somewhat a usual and the waiters and waitress always offer exceptional service and remember our usual order and additional sides that we request. I have been here when they had their off days and their food was not up to par, but it's only once in a blue moon and most often they get it right - and when it's right, it's gold. So, as we all know I'm kind of a pho snob, broth whore etc. I have tried Pho from Rocklin to South Sac. So this is the newest joint in our hood. It came highly recommended by fellow Pho enthusiasts. UH NO. HUGE BIG FAT MEH. I met up with a girlfriend here for lunch, and she was a pho virgin. EGADS, now I feel bad making her come here "pho" her first pho experience! First, I was missing two items when the food came but felt maybe that was just a simple mistake and doordash is always good about giving me a refund on missing items. Then I tried the food and it was mediocre at best. I ordered the special combo tapioca noodles and it was too sweet. Couldn't finish it! My son had the viet crepe and it was burned and way to hard (he had problems chewing it). Then we also ordered the Pho Dac Biet and it barely came with any meet and no raw thinly sliced steak. The pho here is SPOT ON! I got the #24 which was kind of like a meat-lovers. The sizes are HUGE! I could barely finish a small. The rice noodles were very tasty and the broth was perfect.
