Location & Atmosphere: This hidden gem is tucked inside a small strip mall on Anaheim Blvd and E Water St. I came here for lunch after searching for a pho place near my work area. The restaurant is small and cozy, with about eight tables that can seat up to five people each. There's a shared parking lot outside for the plaza tenants, and right next door you'll find a hair salon, laundry shop, and a video store -- giving it that classic neighborhood charm. Food Experience: I ordered the rare steak, well-done brisket, and meatball pho. Since I don't like rare steak, I asked the lady working there if she could have it cooked for me, and she was very nice and accommodating. My food came out within five minutes, hot and fresh. The pho noodles were the thin kind, which I personally love. The brisket was tender and flavorful, and although the steak was a little overcooked, the overall taste was still great and satisfying. Service & Overall Thoughts: The staff here are friendly, fast, and helpful, which makes the experience even better. Nice hole in the wall place in a small strip mall to get a quick bite. The guy at the counter was ready to take my order and had a friendly smile as I walked in to the restaurant. The grilled pork bahn mi sandwich and shrimp spring rolls were made to order while I waited for about 10 minutes. The sandwich french roll was soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside with a nice amount of meat and veggies loaded on it. I found their spring rolls to be on the good side with some mint and cilantro and unexpectedly a strip of cucumber too. The peanut sauce was tasty if a bit thin. They also serve various noodle dishes and pho. Give them a try. read more

I came in at about 4:30-5:00 PM and found no one was there, I was just looking to get a quick meal to-go and found this little restaurant close by where i work. I walked into the restaurant, the AC was blasting but it was still hotter than the summer day on the outside. I ordered the grilled pork banh mi and the fresh spring rolls. Considering the pricing, I have to give it 4 stars as nothing really beats the price here, however, you could just spend an extra 3-5 dollars and get better quality elsewhere. However, this is a pho place and I didn't order pho, so possibly it might be something that they don't really "shine" on regarding their menu. I paid about 13 dollars for both. The spring roll was made fresh, albeit with possibly not so fresh ingredients as the greens inside were starting to show some oxidation and browning. Came with a peanut sauce and sambal. The banh mi was flavorful but definitely soaked in oil regarding the meat. The pickled veggies were amazing; but the unforgiving part of this meal was how hard and stale the bread seemed to be. I'm no stranger to hard banh mi bread, but this was teeth breaking stale. The staff were great, very attentive and took my order and sent it to the kitchen fast. I got my meal in about 10 minutes. I came in around 8 PM so it was pretty quiet, but honestly that made the service super fast and really friendly. The broth in my pho? Amazing. Rich, flavorful, cozy -- literally everything I want from a pho spot. The noodles, though, were a bit off for me. Not bad, just had a texture that didn't match how good the broth was. I also tried their Thai tea, which tasted great but leaned very sweet. Not sure if they adjust sweetness, but I didn't ask so that one's on me. Still enjoyable tho! The highlight besides the broth was the shrimp spring rolls. Fresh, light, and the peanut sauce slapped. Overall, a quiet and quick dinner with some definite hits. Broth and spring rolls? 10/10. We ordered banh mi to-go for Angels baseball games twice here. We haven't had in-dining experience yet. We always get the pork banh mi. The bread is crunch and chewy, the way I like. Portion and pricing is good. However, it does take a while so you should order 15-20 minute early before picking up. My husband said there's no A/C only a fan inside so he said it was hot when he was picking up our oder in the summer. We would keep ordering banh mi for our Angels baseball games. read more

Discovered this pho shop in a small neighborhood strip mall. It offers various delicious food plus boba tea. The pho soup is one of the cleanest taste I've tried. Pork chop over rice is also surprisingly good. Next time I will try sugarcane drink. Nice place for a quick lunch. read more

A promising new staple just entered the neighborhood!!! I drove by and noticed a new sign and decided to stop by, but the new owners were setting up and told me to come back in a week. I thought I'd be amongst the lucky firsts, but based on the other reviews, they were able to open even earlier! Upon entering, I've noticed it's really clean and they have a lot of tables to accommodate many parties for a quick lunch break. Located close to Anaheim packing district but definitely a better alternative if you consider parking, price, and value altogether. It's the perfect place to get your Vietnamese food fix! With so many options, there's really something for everyone. A must try: the egg rolls. They're cooked with the perfect crunch and served with a side lettuce/cilantro for the perfect balance. I'll definitely be coming back often to work my way through their extensive menu. Will also be frequenting this place on the way home for the quick boba and egg roll combo! This was our fourth time trying out this restaurant. Previously everyone there was nice and friendly and food was good so I recommended it to others. However when they went to try it, they got the rude waitress. At the time, there were 2 ladies working there. There was only 1 other table dining at the time. So they weren't busy at all. We walked into have lunch and there was no greeting or thank you even at the end when we paid. Food was also not the same. Please get rid of that rude waitress. Both the soups were salty and very oily. The chicken in my soup was very hard and dry. All the veggies that usually come with pho looked very old as well. Egg rolls tasted okay but they only gave one lettuce and a half..... Service: Gave us our food and went to hide in the back for the remainder of the time until we were ready to pay. Would not recommend to anybody. We opted for no water as well because I saw bottled water for $1.50 on the menu. I ordered the rice with kung po chicken to go and i spent 30 bucks and I and was very disappointed with the portion sizes. It was basically all white rice with a small spoon of chicken. I regret that I must update my review after an exceptionally negative experience at this spot, particularly when I have been recommending it to so many pho-lovers out there for the last month. I brought some close friends here last night, and was tended to by a waitress I had not met before. Previously, all the other workers have been so kind, welcoming, and attentive, but this other woman was impatient, pushy, and cold throughout the entire time we were there. I was embarrassed to be greeted by this energy after speaking so highly of the service to my friends, but I would have chalked it up to a fluke if it ended there. Today, after realizing I had been charged $82 for a bill that should have totaled roughly $54, I went back to the restaurant to ask about it. Our waitress was not in today, but another, more familiar woman (whom I presume could be the owner) was willing to help square away the discrepancy. She called our waitress on the phone and put her on speaker (to my surprise), at which point the waitress was yelling and erroneously insisting that we ordered four soups (we ordered/received three), as well as an order of egg rolls we neither ordered NOR received. I was very patient despite her continued rudeness, and the owner quietly offered me a $20 bill as a solution. By this point, I didn't really care that I wasn't getting the full amount back (I accepted the $20 because I could tell the owner was stressed and genuinely trying to help); I was shocked and disappointed by such a sudden decline in guest service all at the hands of one person, and that she doubled down so coarsely even when I tried to handle the situation gently. I hope to come back here again down the line, but as it stands now, they have lost a regular.
