Grilled Pork Vermicelli ($12): tender meat; tasty dish!
    Jack W.

=== 1. VERDICT/VALUE Great food at decent prices, this has become my favourite and the favourite of many others for Vietnamese food in Richmond! === 2. FOOD We've tried a lot of dishes over many visits (we were fortunate to get 10% off for a large catering order by the way) and all of the dishes were solid: - Sub - Traditional (Vietnamese Ham) ($6) - Sub - Grilled Pork ($6) - Pho - Traditional ($9.50, $2 more for large) - the kitchen sink - Vermicelli - Pork Chop ($12) - tasty but good. - Vermicelli - Beef Short Ribs ($15) - best bet! - Spring Rolls ($5.50) - for three crispy rolls. - Salad Roll ($4) - crispy inside which is neat, ham and shrimp as well. === 3. SERVICE Service is decent, bordering on the edge of rushed. In fact, the downside of the place is that it is so busy - with walk-in, phone-in, dine-in, and online orders. Be sure to call ahead, as your order may take up to 30 minutes! === 4. ENVIRONMENT It's not glamorous if you choose to walk-in or dine in. There are a couple of two-person tables outside and two four-person tables inside along with some bar-style seats at the front window. It's not a big place, so we typically do takeout. Those with wheelchairs and baby strollers would be wise to stick to takeout also. Parking is available in the complex lot, but it's often busy...

Not bad for pho in richmond in terms of prices, flavour and authenticity but this is a TINY restaurant. With only about 5 tables, they have a smaller menu of mostly pho, rice dishes and sandwiches which was fine for mom and me since we only wanted a light meal. We ordered their choose your own beef pho and a grilled chicken banh mi which were both well priced, light tasting and although a bit smaller in portion, plenty enough to fill us up. Getting to choose our own meats in the noodle soup was a highlight since we could pick and choose exactly what we wanted but be warned, the small is QUITE SMALL. Overall, good place to go if you're looking for a quick and simple Vietnamese meal.

Don't forget to support Local Businesses At This Time!! It's a critical time for us to be coming together and giving them the support they need! Despite only ordering their drinks, it is always so good!! And their service is quick! The coffee never fails to wow me!! Keep going and will be sure to order from you guys again!

Today seemed to be a soup kind of day since it was a mix of rain and snow. My girlfriend and myself were debating on pho or hot pot. But it was an easy decision when I started craving some spring rolls! We both got a number 1 large which is there house special and got spring rolls to share. The soup came hot steamy which was perfect for this kind of day. There was plenty meat and a perfect amount of noodles. The broth was spot on so it made a dark and dreary day like today perfect! The egg rolls were a perfect golden brown which had a super satisfying crunch when biting down. There was plenty filling which was great since most places will have more wrapper than filling. Overall my first visit here was very pleasant and quick since they seated us and served us very quickly. We will definitely come back again sometime to try out what else they have on the menu!

    $6 - Fresh and tasty!

First time here. Enjoyed dining in. Ordered Beef pho traditional large, homestyle fish cake (fresh and tasty) noodle in a tomato base soup and banh mi sandwich. Bun was nice and soft. Also ordered a Vietnamese ice coffee and asked for 1/2 sweet and found it to be perfect!

This hidden gem does not survive on walk ins. It is the very definition of a "hole in the wall". There are only about 4 to 5 tables. I think you have to know about it already or know someone who knows about it because there is no foot traffic and it is tucked away in a corner where you can't see it driving by. And yet this place got ranked #1 for Pho by Richmond News 2019. Getting back from a trip and looking for some instant comfort food after landing at YVR my partner, a Richmond native took me here. At Pho Han it is all about the food. No fancy decor - just simple straightforward authentic Pho and other Vietnamese dishes served fresh and fast. I ordered a grilled pork on vermicelli with vegetables and a spring roll. My partner ordered a small pho. Definitely hit the spot.

Pork ($3.50) and Cold Cut ($2.99) Banh Mi

***Stars 3.5 Hidden away in a small strip of restaurants, Pho Han offers some Vietnamese comforts. I came here with my boyfriend and another couple, luckily it wasn't a busy time because the dining area is really small with about 5-6 small tables. Note: Monday's they have 10% off Pho and $2.99 Banh Mi! The Pho broth was light but not too salty. The noodles were tender and chewy. The beef was thinly sliced and fresh but there really wasn't a lot of meat in my bowl of pho. I was satisfied but not the biggest bowl of pho I've had. I recently tried their Banh Mi. I ordered their Cold Cut and their Grilled Pork. The baguette was fresh and crunchy with a nice smear of buttery goodness. The cold cut meat were fresh but there wasn't too much meat included. The grilled pork had a really good grilled smokey flavour and there was more pork meat compared to the cold cut. The pickled carrots and radish were very julienned and the cilantro of course brings the entire Banh Mi all together into a sub of fresh, crisp, delicious flavours. Overall, a decent spot for pho and Banh Mi. Lots of parking but if you come during peak times, there is neighborhood parking as well! *Extra $0.50 charge for debit use if it's under $5.

A great little divey Pho restaurant. I've driven by this place multiple times on my way to and from Costco. After reading good things, I finally decided to give it a try. First thing you notice is that it's pretty small and a bit off to the side from the rest of the strip mall. Next to Manzo. They have maybe 8 tables. Menu is really nice. Clear, professional and easy to read. Regular Pho is $5.99 for small and $6.99 for large. I ordered the Pho with rare steak and meatballs. They have about 4 different sandwiches. I got the cold cut sub for $2.99. Also got Spring rolls for $2.99. That's my main negative of this place, the prices are so good that I ended up ordering too much and had to be carrying out of the restaurant. The food tasted really fresh. That is something that we shouldn't really have to mention since it should be so obvious in good restaurants, but isn't as common as I would like. Total for 2 people came to $22 for 2 Pho, 2 orders of Spring rolls and 1 sub. The rice dishes looked really good. Might have to try that next time, although I might feel weird not getting Pho in a Pho restaurant.

There were five of us so we ordered a variety of items from chicken to beef soup to mango salad and a beef and chicken soup. Everyone found their order tasty, cooked to perfection, and satisfying. Service was OK. We did have to track down our server to find what happened to our spring rolls and ask for water. There's plenty of parking outside and the restaurant has a lovely decor of what I think were cherry blossom trees. Based on the quality of the food, however, we would return when we're next in the area.

The broth is so flavorful and the beef is always fall-off-the-bone tender. Just a heads up, they do run out of the ribs so try to get here early if you would like to try it. The last couple of times we've come, the beef ribs were a bit smaller than they used to be, but they were awesome about making up for it. Last visit they threw in an extra rib, and today they gave us this massive extra bone loaded with tendon. I loved it. My wife was too shy to use her hands to eat it, so hey, bonus piece for me! Aside from the food, the service here is amazing. Everyone is super attentive and friendly. The vibe is really comforting to, it's way more spacious than your typical cramped pho restaurant. Parking is free during lunch, but you have to register your car if you're here after 6pm. It's cash or debit only.

As usual, I'm late to the party. I've heard about Phnom Penh…read moreand its famous chicken wings ever since I moved to Vancouver, nine-ish years ago. My fellow Yelpers raved about this place when I first moved here, and my kid came here with her school pals 5-6 years ago and also raved about the wings. It's been on my list to come here forever - and last night, finally, I did. It did not disappoint. My kid warned me, there'll probably be a line up waiting to get in (they don't take reservations here. I checked), so we decided to go at an off-time and get an early dinner, around 5pm on Friday. We walked there and, miracle of miracle, there was no line and we got seated right away. (Granted, we got the last vacant table in the place, and when we left after our meal, there already was a line of people waiting to get in). Food-wise...wow. I am NOT one for adventurous eating, so there were dishes on the menu I couldn't comfortably order (I wish I could, but hey, I'm better now than I used to be!). Still, there was lots for me to choose from. And first and foremost, I HAD to try the famous chicken wings. And I can honestly say, they were the best I've ever had: SO SO crunchy and crispy on the outside, and hot and moist on the inside. OMG so so so good. I can't speak highly enough of these! My kid ordered the butter beef. It was tasty and soft ("like butta!"), and the marinade was lovely, but personally, I couldn't get over the...rawness and redness of the meat and juice (which looked like blood to me). For fellow non-adventurous eaters out there, this might not be for you, despite how flavorful it tasted. It was just hard for me to get over how it looked. (I know I'm in a minority here. This dish is one of their most popular and asked-for dishes). We had the garlic dry spare ribs. I love spareribs. These were delicious but a tad too salty and greasy. I brought most of them home and had them today for lunch. I gotta say, they were so much better for me today: less salty, and I blotted off the excess grease. Delicious! My kid ordered a "small" sweet and sour soup with prawns, and wow, it came in a huge black cauldren. I can't imagine ordering a large size. Anyhow, this soup was a stand-out soup - especially for my kid who said she had dreams about it all night (lol)! So complex in flavors - spicy, sweet, savory, chock full of prawns and sprouts and lotus shoots and pineapple chunks and and other delicious stuff.... For me, it was a wee tad too spicy, but wow, even I thought, this is a special soup. So delicious and warming. 10/10. Our servers were prompt and impressively able to efficiently tend to a full house of diners. They got it all down to a science here. One issue of note: my kid had to use the washroom at one point and she left for a very extended period of time. I actually thought at one point that something had happened to her or she was ill, she was gone so long (VERY unlike her). When she returned, she told me it was "quite a hike", around the back of the restaurant and up a flight of stairs, too. I only make note of this in case anyone has mobility issues, know that the bathroom will be difficult (or impossible) for you to access.

There is always a wait here but their waitlist goes by fast. The service is nice.
