My food was served later than other diners, who arrived after me; and I don't know if it was sitting forgotten in the kitchen before being served to a single female diner. Tried this place for the first time because I was told the one on Davies was very good. I must say overall it was OK for me, nothing to special although the beef tasted so good and we were seated right away with no line up or anything. Parking was on the streets, and you had to pay and they also let you pay with credit/debit unlike most PHO places that are cash only which was a plus. Came to this place straight from the airport! I ordered the Rare Beef Pho with Spicy Peanut Satay added to it. And the veggie spring roles. OH MY GOD! It was mouth watering! So delicious. This place used to be my favourite but not any more. I used to have pho noodle soup every time I went, however few month ago the amount of noodle has been changed. It's WAY SMALLER than it used to be. It is not filling at all because now it's LESS THAN HALF AMOUNT of noodle that they had before BUT the price is the same! This is RIDICULOUSLY SMALL and they only have one size. Moreover, it became less flavour but saltier. I was hoping it was just one time only, so I tried multiple times after (Lunch time, dinner time, Togo, Total of 8 different times) But sadly it was the same.....WAY LESS noodle than it used to be. Compared to the DT location, this one's better for peace and quiet, been here a few times for their coffee, probably busier at lunch. They've done a better job renovating compared to the previous Ryu Sushi, which was quite divey. So glad we found this place! I'm pretty sure it's going to be our new go-to restaurant for our Vietnamese cravings. The restaurant is clean and turn around times are quick so if you have to wait for a table, rest assured, it won't be for long! I had their lemongrass chicken on vermicelli and this was my absolute favourite! Perfect amount of char and the chicken was moist, with a ton of flavour! The portion size was decent as well. Their pho broth was clean (no thick layer of oil here!) and had a nice kick to it and the rare beef slices were tender and lean. Lastly, we tried their house special rolls which is a spring roll wrapped inside a salad roll--an interesting combo, and definitely worth a try. I would personally stick to their more traditional rolls though, just because the spring roll wrapper got a bit soft and the crisp bite that usually accompanies a freshly deep-fried spring roll gets lost. I have been to Vietnam twice and have probably eaten at every pho place in the city. This is my favorite! Their #25 - lemongrass chicken pho is amazing and has just the right amount of flavor. This was pretty much your standard Vietnamese chicken plate accompanied by rice, salad and a deep fried spring roll. Everything you would expect from ordering a dish like this. I've enjoyed the rare beef pho, lemongrass chicken vermicelli bowl, and "spring roll inside a salad roll" here. The food is solid, the service is attentive, and the prices are reasonable. The pho was probably my favorite dish - flavorful, not overly salt, and the beef was very lean. Also noteworthy is that the restaurant is very clean. I'll give it a 4 because gf convinced me that the house special spring rolls rounded up the final score of 3.5. We got #24 and #20 with the rolls, I must say the portions are very good for their price of ~$10 bowl. The spring roll was very interesting and no other pho places we've gone to had something like this. If you are going, would definitely recommend trying the house special roll. I ordered the tofu vermicelli dish and after a few bites, I noticed there were scattered pieces of chicken in my food. I had it taken back to the kitchen and got the veggie pho instead, but not much of an apology for it. We've been here twice and both times the service has been just plain bad. The first time we came here, before this, my boyfriend was given the wrong dish, and he didn't bring it up because he wanted to be polite. Came here tonight for dinner because I was craving pho. My partner and I were seated shortly after writing our names onto waitlist. It was during dinner rush and so the restaurant started getting busier. For appetizer I ordered a salad roll, bowl of pho and porkchop on rice. 10 mins passed and the table that was seated behind us about 10 mins before my partner and I was given the salad rolls that they had ordered. Another 5 minutes had passed and the family beside us also seated 10 minutes ago had their entrées served (bowl of pho, vermicelli noodle bowl and lemongrass meat on rice?). I waved the waitress down and asked her why people who were seated after us were getting their food first. She responded by saying the machine was malfunctioning. It would have been courteous for our server to have given us a heads up about the status our of food. So eventually we got our food after waiting 30 mins. read more

The best vegetarian pho in Vancouver! I usually add hoisin sauce to my pho, but I had a bite before remembering to. I'm so glad I did! The broth was so delicious, I didn't need to add anything to it. I split a salad roll with a girlfriend and it was delicious too. Sometimes I check out pho places that don't seem to get the peanut sauce right- Pho Goodness did not disappoint (though my favourite salad rolls are at still the avocado ones at Pholicious). Great pho, very authentic tasting and they even have a vegan-friendly pho option. Rice and roll dishes are also good. HOWEVER, we have been coming here for a long time and have noticed the service is getting worse and worse. The staff seem to be totally preoccupied with filing takeout and pick up orders, leaving their eat-in patrons waving their hands trying to put an order in. Staff also doesn't seem to care about this at all so don't bother complaining. Real shame, I hope the owners read this and wise up. Your eat in customers are important too!! They didnt have an online menu so i ordered spicy beef noodle soup over the phone and as i arrived i asked if the sauce that comes with the broth was already in there. He said yes. And i trusted him and didnt check the bag. Came home to realize there was nothing but the broth. I live 15 min driving distance and called to see if they were open until i get there to pick it up and tried to explain the situation to let them know that this happened to give them a chance to avoid this for future orders. I gave this place the lowest rating because of service. It was our first time as we were looking for a Pho restaurant around the Main street area . Cute place with outside deck seating as well as inside. When we got there , the place was full and there was another two ladies infront of us. Not sure how long they had been there before us but soon they were placed in a table for 4. A older female waitress walked past us several times with dishes for patrons and never once did she acknowledge our presence. There was a younger waitress who was more concerned with cleanning tables than acknowledging us . Never once were we acknowledged or asked how many people on our party or informed how long of a wait . This younger waitress ran back and forth between cashier and busing tables . A good 10 mins until i walked up to her asking her if we were invisible as no one has asked us or seated us. Service was poor at best. Had to wait a long time for our seafood hot and sour noodle soup while other people who arrived after us got their orders. It took a long time before we got our lemongrass chicken on rice as well. I was pleased to see a new pho place open up on Main as it's one if my fave types of cuisine, you'd have no idea they were only open for 5 days...everything was absolutely on point. I ordered the House Special spring roll wrapped *inside* a salad roll - a must in my opinion, they were excellent. Also tried the green papaya salad with shrimp which was nice, light and a little sweet. I prefer a little spice in the dressing but a quick fix with some chili sauce mixed in. And the pho - realllly good. I ordered the rare beef & meatball pho though regret not going all out with tripe and brisket too. Next time!
