Beef Stew Pho

I don't know what is going on with this place! It use to be my go to Pho Ga place. It was so amazing and clean before. I don't even wanna say what I saw. But, I won't be back. The food now is just okay. Service was the best it can give.

Not great I was so bummed that my favorite pho place ever, pho va, is no more. So I gave this a shot. Having just traveled internationallyi just wanted a feel good meal I was surprised by their menu 1. No summer rolls ..,.wahh? 2. No way to customize the bowl.,.egads I got the bowl with flank and steak. It came with a lemongrass pepper spice bowl on the side. For me the pho really comes to how flavorful the broth is. And I didn't dig this one at all. Way too salty and not the body to it that I typically relish when I enjoy some pho. The meat cuts were tough and chewy.... Cheap The place is also a little on the dirty side, they don't seem to clean tables well and there faint odor of urine. Service is slow but nice Parking is in the Eden center jumbolot Overall, this is a one and done

This place is located in the Eden Center and their specialty is Chicken pho! I got there later in the day and the dish I wanted to try was sold out! :( But I wasn't going to leave without eating something. Order the liver and gizzard side dish and the Tony Pho Special! The liver and gizzard was delicious and had a spicy sauce to dip in. The Pho broth was so good! I didn't have to add anything to it. The service was good and fast. The food was hot and came out quick! This is like a small diner and very relax. I could stay here and eat all day. But remember if you're in the area, stop by and give it a try!!!! Also get there early!!

I love chicken pho and was excited when my friend suggested we try this place. There are so few good chicken pho places around anymore. Also, it was one of the few places open after 8 at Eden Center. Pho Ga Vang is brightly lit with friendly staff and plenty of seating. I got the grilled lemongrass chicken pho. It was so fragrant and delicious. I loved the salt and pepper dipping sauce too. My friend also enjoyed her pho. I'm looking forward to returning.

The food was very bland especially the chicken on the bones. Broth was very bland as well.

Poached Chicken

This is the only place to get chicken pho anywhere in VA. I was first introduced this place when I went to the location in Philly where they had free range steamed chicken, delicious rich broth, and a spicy and savory dipping sauce. You will find all of those things at Pho Ga Vang. The food is freshly prepared and taste delicious. Do yourself a favor and order the chicken separately from the pho so the chicken doesn't get soggy from sitting in the broth while you eat. Then get a small bowl of plain pho and enjoy! The only downside (and not really a downside because you get so much chicken) is you have to order 1/2 poached chicken but it is worth it even if you have it for leftovers. The service is not so great.. they basically bring you your food and you never hear from them again. The restaurant itself could benefit from a few upgrades but it's good enough.

Blast from the past to see ol college friends. Jojo, the girl to my left is a huge pho buff and says this is the best pho she's had in the area since she's moved here. Food came out quick, the waiter was a high school student which makes the food better : ).

I thought the chicken pho was decent. It didn't have a strong pho broth, and I really didn't like how the pieces of chicken were so big. I had to get my fingers dirty to eat it, would have been nice if it was chopped up into smaller bite size pieces but that's just my opinion. I was excited to try this place for so long but when I walked in the place, it was half the size area, it's dark, and everything was plain vanilla so it really doesn't set the mood right. Depressing and it speaks meh food but I still tried it. Bought 5 orders to go, it wasn't cheap either for the portion given. Overall it's aight, good to give it a try once.

Phở gà

Phở Gà Vàng is inside of Mr. Wish and specializes in chicken pho and offers other chicken dishes. I got the regular pho ga. The pho ga was pretty good, but the broth could have been better. I would come back to try other dishes. It's somewhat small, with only 12 tables. They also have a huge screen playing music videos. Service was very friendly and fast. After ordering, I got my food in less than 5 minutes. If it's not busy, just let them know how many are in your party and sit at any table. You pay at the counter.

I had to drop off my dad somewhere very close and asked around to inquire about somewhere I needed to go while I was in the area. It's a rare occasion for me to venture that far into VA these days. A friend recommended this pho spot, and so after I dropped Dad off, I drove the 7 minutes to get my pho. I noticed a super cool arch for the turn into the plaza where it was, and I was shocked by how busy it was. Would you believe it took me 10 minutes to park? I came to find out this is the infamous Eden Center. I had no idea it was this packed! Anyways, I found a space and walked over to Pho Ga Vang... it shares space with Mr. Wish, which I'm quite familiar with from Rockville! Past Mr. Wish, there is a divider and a section with a bunch of low tables. There's a separate menu too. If you grab an empty table someone will come and take your order. I got the Pho Ga Xe (boneless white chicken breast pho)... I was shocked by how quickly it came! Excellent speed right there... and excellent taste to go with it. I'm used to jalapenos, but this time there was an orange pepper that was so hot I wasn't ready! Overall, the pho tasted great... I have no complaints whatsoever. Once I was done, I went up to the counter, closed out and was on my way. My one pro tip... unless you are prepared, don't come to Eden Center in the middle of the weekend. If you plan on bringing a big group? Carpool. If you can do a weekday, it'll probably be better.

Yellow chicken

I tried their yellow chicken; a free-range chicken recognizable with its yellow skin, it was ok. Would it be sacrilegious to suggest to deep fry it? Or maybe I should have stuck to a Pho! Maybe next time.

Chopped chicken pho

Their service is as fast as the Flash. I ordered, went to the bathroom, and came back to a hot bowl of chopped chicken pho sitting on the table. Wow! I don't usually get chicken pho when ordering soup but this has me changing my mind about next time. The chicken itself was flavorful and I was satisfied with the amount of pieces I got. Plus, there was a heaping amount of noodles to eat. They've got other things besides chicken pho on the menu, but why would you want to try anything else?! I really love that they share the space with Mr. Wish. Convenient for boba!

Lemongrass chicken pho
Maria K.

The lemongrass chicken pho was delicious, and came with a lot of meat! We also got the fried chicken leg rice platter, and I loved how crispy the skin was. The chicken pho is their speciality here and I would definitely go again for it. This restaurant shares a space with Mr.Wish, and was decently busy for a Thursday night. We sat ourselves and got our orders taken pretty quickly.

That was a big mistake because Truong Tien is inside and it is amazing! My son and I started with Banh Beo Nhan Kho Tom Chay, a dish of steamed rice cake topped with fried shallots, dried powdered shrimp (prawn floss) and chicharron which you then can top with a spicy sauce. They come in little tiny dishes that you can kind of slurp the rice cake from like an oyster. The combination of textures and temperatures and flavors was delicious - and not too filling as a starter. We wanted to have a Banh Khoai Nuoc Leo (crispy pancake taco-like dish with a dipping sauce) but they were out for the day (we were there at about 4pm) so instead we had vermicelli bowls (Bun Nem Nuong) with Asian style sausage and fried spring rolls. Topped with peanuts and fish sauce, it was fresh and delicious. The host greets you warmly and offers ice water, hot or iced tea (complimentary) and the restaurant decor is absolutely beautiful. There's also a gorgeous display of food for sale near the register, including fried bananas and donut/beignet sort of treats. Our server seemed a bit impatient and abrupt when taking our order (we asked how many spring rolls come in each order, and added beef meatballs to one of our pho orders), but we were mainly there for the food. The space itself is roomy, casual and comfortable, with tables spaced and seated far enough apart to not feel crowded. We started with the pork and taro spring rolls, which came out hot, cut in half, and impressively crispy! (Just as a heads up so you don't get scolded like we did - the pork and taro spring rolls come with two per order, and the price for both is a great deal compared to most pho establishments!) For our mains, we ordered three pho bowls and one dry noodle dish. The pho arrived warm, and adding bean sprouts cooled it down further rather than cooking them through. The dry noodle dish, on the other hand, was excellent in flavor, though also not very hot - likely due to the fresh vegetables (lettuce, tomatoes and cucumber) mixed in. Overall, a solid, filling meal, even if the service and the temperature of the food could be improved. Why we keep coming back: The Pho Sate is absolutely exceptional - we've tried this dish at countless Vietnamese restaurants over the years, and honestly can't find it done this well anywhere else. After 10+ years, the quality has never wavered. The broth is rich and flavorful with that perfect balance of spice and depth, the beef is always tender, and the fresh lettuce, herbs, and crispy garlic add amazing texture. But the real star? Their legendary roasted chili sauce (see photo) - that golden-orange chili oil is what dreams are made of! Savory, spicy, aromatic, and absolutely addictive. We've been eating this sauce for over a decade and it never gets old. If you love bold, authentic flavors, this alone is worth the visit. Consistently friendly and attentive staff - over all these years, the service has remained excellent. They recognize regulars, are genuinely warm and welcoming, and clearly take pride in their food and customer relationships. Plenty of parking - a practical bonus that makes every visit hassle-free. Why this deserves 5 stars: When you return to the same restaurant for over a decade, it's because they're doing everything right. The consistency in food quality, the authentic flavors, the warm hospitality - all of it has kept us coming back year after year. This isn't just good food; it's a place that's become part of our dining routine. Bottom line: After 10+ years as customers, we can confidently say this is the real deal. The Pho Sate is unmatched, that roasted chili sauce is legendary, and the entire experience is consistently excellent.
