I am so glad to see this Pho restaurant open in Lexington Park. My wife and I truly missed eating here when we used to eat at the Waldorf location. I ordered takeout and enjoyed it just as much as when we lived in Waldorf and used to eat there at least once every 2 weeks. The restraunt is at least 2 1/2 times bigger than the Waldorf location and is very nice in the dining room. I met the company owner and he was very nice. He said he was baby sitting the location until he was confident that the store was trained and consistent with his standards. When one of the wait staff spilled some water behind the bar he jumped right in and mopped up the mess himself. Now that is what I call hands on. I also saw him giving corrective training to his staff and he was very professional and timely. The wait staff is a little disorganized since they are new but I feel they will only improve with time. I ordered the Vietmanese spring rolls, Pad Thai with shrimp and the Pho D'lite with 3 types of beef. The Vietmanese spring rolls with peanut sauce were very good. They have a raw wrapper and held together very well and tasted great. My wife and I both enjoyed them. My wife had the Pad Thai with shrimp and enjoyed it very much. The flavor was oustanding. The Pho that I had was very good after you built the dish by adding all of the fresh vegetable and sauces which come in a separate container so that you can flavor the beef broth which is very flavorful by itself. The three types of beef were were thinly sliced, tender and very good. You just need to slice the beef before adding to the broth. This Pho tasted outstanding! We both truly enjoyed all 3 dishes and will be back in the future. read more

Every time I go to a new restaurant in SOMD I head into it with low expectations. Well, Pho D'lite didn't meet them. Maybe it was the time of day that I want in but the service was terrible. I arrived a 4PM and there was 5 waitress staying around with only a couple of tables filled. I sat there in the middle of the room with no one around me for 10 minutes before a waitress came to me to ask me if i have ordered. I haven't even gotten a menu yet. I got the Pho Create where you can pick 3 meats that you want in your soup. The Pho did have meat in it but it wasn't the meat I ordered. I heard a lady next to me asking the waitress the same thing, that this wasn't the meat she asked for. I think the cook just put in whatever meat he had in the back. Plus the meat that was in my Pho was bad quality, very fatty and chewy. Pho comes with a side of basil and bean sprouts. Well, my side showed up 5 minutes after my bowl of noodles arrived. Plus the side dish of basil and bean sprouts are on a table next to the cash register in the restaurant for every one to see and exposed to everything in the restaurant. In general the Pho was so-so. Thai Ice Tea was good. Not sure I will be back given the mediocre of the Pho, and of course the SOMD typical lousy service. read more

This is the largest Vietnamese restaurant I've ever been to. It looks like it used to be a steakhouse and has two large dining rooms. It is like an oasis in the desert. Food is great! Service was fast and efficient on a hot Sunday afternoon. Just what I needed. A bowl of pho is rejuvenating and delicious. read more

The pho was fairly good and plentiful, the meat (chicken and shrimp) in the dish was so-so. Two people in our family order other meals that were both small and not good. One was a shrimp vermicelli bowl. It was 50% bean sprouts, 25% cucumbers, lettuce, carrots and a couple huge pieces of raw onion, then a tiny 1/4 cup of lukewarm noodles and a half dozen small, severely overcooked shrimp. It was not great, like a small, bean sprout laden side salad with warm noodles, the only real flavor was the huge chunks of onion. And $10 for something the size of a small appetizer. The restaurant was clean and well set up. Service was attentive, almost too attentive. 4 different people were constantly checking in. We were trying to sit and visit after our meal and server was constantly coming over and trying to clear every little thing including our drinks. The restaurant was very slow and it was early in the evening, but the way they cleared the table gave us the impression that they wanted us gone. read more

I met with my co-workers here for lunch. Parking was an issue. Newly opened, so they were busy. We ordered fried spring rolls and chicken wings. All appetizers were great. Then, we all ordered Pho (5 of us). The Pho soups took a long time to get to our table. When it was finally served to us, the soups were luke warm. They were busy, the condiments were not available on our table. I had to go to the bar and wait for someone to hand me the Sriracha and sauce. Aside from the Pho being luke warm, it was a bit bland. It was getting late we didn't want to ask for other necessary condiments. We ate our soups, paid our bill and left. We will come back and try again since they were newly opened. Doesn't look to exciting from the outside. Interior decor is simple and clean. Crispy egg rolls are tasty but small portions. The Pho D'Lite meal was served quickly and came in a very large portion. The Pho was very good and turned out to be more than I could finish. Excellent spot for a quick lunch. Ordered Pad Thai all it consisted of was noodles some sauce and ground peanut sprinkled on top no veggies as advertised. My wife ordered Shrimp Currie it had half the sauce for the amount of rice and again no veggies We also paid $5 each for two tiny egg rolls about the size of a lumpia. This was my second time giving this place a try. Management really needs to train the wait staff on how to wait tables. My first visit service was horrible but they had recently opened. Tonight they were slow and by far the worst service I have ever received anywhere! First it took 9 minutes for my husband and I to be greeted by our waiter. At that time we ordered two ice waters and two thai iced teas along with one appetizer and two entrees. The appetizer and my husband's entree came out. Still no drinks. There was one napkin and one fork at our table because they had not refilled the napkin and utensil caddy. I had to retrieve some from a nearby table. Then my Pho came out without the bean sprouts, basil, jalapenos and lime. Still no drinks! I ask the waiter where our drinks are, then he seriously brings one water with no ice!!!! I repeat to him we ordered two ice waters and two thai iced teas. He comes back with one thai iced tea! I repeat again we ordered two ice waters and two thai iced teas. He finally brings the second thai iced tea and ice water but never corrected the first water that had no ice. Then my husband went to the counter to ask about the bean sprouts, basil and lime, when it is brought out the basil was not fit to eat. The rice paper on the summer rolls were old, my husband said his entree was okay and my Pho soup was delicious minus the basil. There were way too many employees doing nothing for how long we waited and our waiter at one point was sitting at the bar spinning in his chair. Absolutely unacceptable. Steps to improve, 1st - quickly greet your customers after they are seated, take drink order. 2nd - serve drinks, take order and make sure there is flatware and napkins. 3rd - bring appetizers. 4th - serve entrees together not separately. read more
