The right amount of chewiness that I like in my mochi! The donuts have flavor infused into the dough as well as the glaze-- unlike other places where the glaze is the only part with flavor. I ordered strawberry, Thai tea and Ube. My kids loved them and so did the adults. I do wish the Thai tea and Ube tasted a little bit more like the flavor, but they were still yummy! Food here is decent (not great but decent) but what's abysmal is their service. Went there with a group of 5, the server told us to sit where we like. We chose a table that can seat 6. Because one in our group is a small toddler, the server asked us to move to a table of 4. FYI, the restaurant had only 3 other patrons. They were NOT busy whatsoever. Okay, well instead of arguing, we moved to a smaller table and feeling a bit cramped. Well we sat there for a while without anyone bring us a menu. Then two other groups of patrons came in. She gave us an attitude for sitting at the table of 6, yet she allowed a party of ONE to sit at that very same table. The service here is a joke. This is by far the best beef broth that I have ever tasted in the east bay! My personal favorite is Pho Craze (1) add oxtail to top it off. Don't eat beef no worries my wife likes to order the veggie Pho that comes with fresh veggies and tofu and she loves it. We appreciate the fact that they don't have a lot of staff in the restaurant to help with Covid and keeping 6 feet apart. They now also offer limited outdoor seating. What reason would we have to put Saran Wrap in a bowl we had already eaten halfway through? After ALL that, they offered 50% off the pho. HALF OFF?! The contaminated bowl should've been removed from the bill completely. When we paid, they didn't even give the discount they offered and I was fed up so just paid the bill and left. The food, cleanliness, service, and way they handled the situation were enough for us. We used to recommend this place and bring family here all the time. Not anymore.
