We were visiting from Northern VA where it seems there's a pho place everywhere, but this experience was totally different. The layout of Pho Claire is very nice and the waiter was amazing. We've never tried a pho place that gives out cheesesteak rolls (10/10 recommend, they were delicious!) and sangrias (also 10/10 recommend). One of the best pho restaurants I've ever been to!I got the brisket pho and a virgin fruity drink (forgot the name) but it was so refreshing! My boyfriend got the Thai boba and that was really good as well. First of al, the carrots were not pickled as they should be, there were no jalapenos or cilantro on it and the pork and pate had no taste and we're basically mush. Party of two for lunch, and we had a great experience. We got the bahn mi house sandwich with the rare beef pho, and we shared both. The sandwich was a little dry, but we ate it French dip style with the pho and it made for a great meal! This reminded me of the pho in Seattle, very rich and delicious broth, perfectly balanced. Fantastic, I've had Vietnamese food a number of cities before, Toronto, NYC, Vegas and Jersey. I didn't expect I'd find much in Myrtle Beach (ouch did I just sound a little snobby) but Pho Claire out did all my previous Vietnamese dining experiences. Everything thing was fresh and delicious. I was told the restaurant is less than a year old, in that short time they really have their act together, from decor, service and cuisine. We started off with the freshly made to order SUMMER ROLLS. I had the HOÀNH THÁNH MÌ, which is a noodle soup with fried wontons, shrimp and thinly sliced pork . . . WOW. I was a little reluctant to order it because being in a soup I thought the shrimp would be overcooked and tasteless. Anything but, the shrimp were delicious. The pork was so thin and tender I could cut it with my chop sticks. The fried wontons just added to the dish. With all that going for it the broth just put it over the top. My girlfriend had the MIN GÀ, another noodle soup which was another home run. The service again made this dining experience something to look forward to again. Being our first time there our waitress explained all the dishes in detail. She was attentive and courteous, we never felt rushed. I placed a to go order of veggie spring rolls, which were full of just the right amount of crisp, fresh veggies and the peanut dipping sauce was the perfect accompaniment. This is one of the instances where a pricier product does not mean the quality is better. I'm here with my family on a short beach trip to myrtle beach. We ordered the Pho Deluxe, com tam suon cha, a standard summer roll and a grilled pork summer roll. The pho was 13 bucks and really disappointing. The broth was underwhelming and not rich. It was bland in my opinion (even with sriracha and the hoisin). They put in a lot of tendon and tripe but was severely lacking in the different cuts of beef and meatballs for a deluxe bowl that cost 13 bucks. The com tam was good. They use regular grain rice and not broken rice. The summer rolls were pretty tasty. The addition of the grilled pork was really good. We also got Vietnamese iced coffee which were 5 bucks each and you barely get enough to fill half a glass. The ambience is really nice, the space is large with really high ceiling windows. It's definitely made to be trendy and hip and it's deviated from the traditional a bit. I do appreciate the Vietnamese in the menu. There is lots of sitting too. Staff was excellent. I walked in on Monday around 12 to have some pho~~ the hostess doesn't even say hello but starts saying there is 30 min wait for (hence they had whole lot of empty seats!) so okay I don't mind waiting but she continues to say we can't be seated for 30 min either! I have 20 months old so I have a bit of luggage and like I said there was times of seats! They had maybe 5 tables that was occupied and 20 tables that was open! This place is also in a nice clean building and makes you feel welcome. The service was also great. We tried the pho, spring rolls, summer rolls, bahn mi and strawberry bubble tea. The pho was flavorful and we also enjoyed the spring roll and summer rolls. I didn't care too much for the bahn mi, it was more American style like the one they serve at Whole Foods. We had never had Vietnamese food before. We wanted to try something new and man am I glad we did! We were greeted by a friendly host and seated immediately. Our server, Tammy, came over and introduced herself and welcomed us. She asked if we had eaten here before and we let her know this was a completely new experience for us. Tammy graciously offered her suggestions and told us about the menu, which was helpful since one person in our party is a vegetarian. We ordered the summer rolls - one with chicken and one vegetarian order. My goodness, it was a light and FRESH roll of deliciousness! Highly recommend. We ordered a Pho beef brisket, Pho chicken and a vegetarian noodle bowl. The flavor in the beef stock in the pho was incredible with deep flavor. Every bite I took was different. The serving size was ginormous and never ending. I added Sriracha which is part of the table setting. I cannot say Enough about our new experience and the level of flavor, fresh vegetables, sauces that we had. We really enjoyed it and will be back! Thank you Tammy and team! The only recommendation I would have would be to have a vegetable stock available for vegetarians. The stocks in both the Pho and Noodle soup are meat based. read more
