Updating my review from 5 to 3 stars. Yes they have great food & takeout, but they refuse customers way too often if it's getting near closing time. If a place says they close at 9 then I would think they should still be taking orders at 8:30-8:45 even if for just take out. I've came or called a half hour before close multiple times and have been told "no the kitchen is closing early." Just change the time online then please if you want to close at 8:30. read more

We were in Roseville area for Christmas shopping. We looked up "Asian food" in yelp and this came up. We were hesitant, but thought we give it a try since there are so many reviews. Honestly, we were pleasantly surprised that it's pretty decent/good. My husband and kids thought the pho was pretty good. I wouldn't get the banh mi again though.. 10% off for cash payments. Our waitress was nice. The outside looks very nice, but the bathroom and tables/utensils could be cleaner. If I'm in the area, I may stop by again. read more

I have no idea how this place has 4.5 stars. Walked in server with blondish hair asked how many? I told her 3 and she grabbed some menus and just threw them on the table! RUDE! I'm hoping her customer service was because she was having a bad day because she was horrible and had the most miserable vibe! This place is a gem. My boyfriend and I eat here weekly. We can't get enough. The spicy beef noodle soup is the best I've ever had. I get it every time I'm there. Their fried egg rolls and number 6 egg rolls are the best I've ever had as well. Highly Recommend adding this place to your new fav when it comes to authentic flavor. The ambiance could use a little more entertainment, but the staff is friendly and always remember my order when we sit down. Bring your iPad and headphones and watch an episode of your favorite show as a date and it makes it that much more fun :D read more

Visited this restaurant occasionally when in Rocklin, CA, pre- and post-COVID. The food is remains steady, however the ambiance and service is in serious decline. Restaurant has removed the closing hours signage from their storefront so that can close whenever they like depending on diner occupancy. They'll seat diners at 8:00-8:30pm but start closing off half of the seating area during dining hours, begin cleaning floors, etc. while customer are still dining. Mops and mop buckets left out and visible while customers are still dining. Bathrooms were being cleaned/mopped and were unavailable to customers who dared to walk across dangerously wet floors. Music is turned off early and table service drops off, as if they are encouraging customers to leave. Last visit revealed the glass doors and storefront windows were extremely dirty. Sadly I won't be returning. read more

Stopped by this place and was so disappointed. I ordered the Chicken Wings with Sweet Sauce and they had no flavor. I also ordered the fried rice and the rice was nasty and they added chicken ( dark meat mostly) and had no flavor. I'm from the Bay Area and thought their fried rice would be like TK Noodle house but it was not. So if you try this place I would stay away from fried rice and chicken wings. read more

Cool little spot in a strip mall, quiet and low key. The guys working behind the counter were friendly and service was quick! We ordered the chicken and the Pork sandwiches the flavors were delicious. And the bread was light and toasty. We also had spring rolls with beef and chicken, delicious too. Okay, so I was bribed to write this, the owner offered a 10% discount to write a review, but this did not affect my rating, we were very happy to have found this spot. Pho Cali is a smaller place like the size of a Subway with seating for about 20-30 inside. PC also delivers within a 5 mile radius for a fee of $4.50. For those of you who know me, you know we ordered a lot of food :) Here is what we tried: Milk Tea with boba $3.50 good flavor sweet milk tea and soft boba in a large cup Viet Ice Coffee $3.50 strong and sweet, woke me up for sure. Shrimp Rolls with peanut sauce $5.50 two large rolls cut in half made with fresh soft vermicelli, veggies and shrimp. Pork, Egg Roll, Shrimp over Bun $10.75? delicious tender marinated pork, a large egg roll and 3 grilled shrimp. The shrimp were slightly overcooked and really the only thing we didn't like here. Pork, Egg Roll, Shrimp, Shrimp Cake, Fried Egg $10.95 served over rice with a bowl of soup. More yummy pork and crispy shrimp cake, a great meal Wonton Soup $8.45 small wonton served with veggies and broth good flavor giant bowl of broth. All of the food was very good here except for the shrimp which was slightly overcooked. Service was good and food was fast. Huge portions! The portions here are huge! We had to take half of it home, and even then we were full for both meals! The inside is newly decorated, so the whole place is new. Lots of tables and room inside, so you never have to wait. Good for groups. The tables are a bit oily though, and they take a long time to clean some of the tables--you can see the tables next to us are full of bowls left from previous clients. The service is ok. Takes a while for the food to come out. Not very long overall, but hey, it's pho, and there were only 2 or 3 tables of customers at the time...shouldn't take that long to bring bowls of pho out right? The food quality is ok. The pho was not bad, and the broth was decent. Overall, not a bad place for pho, especially if you are REALLY hungry because the portions are huge. read more

We have been looking for a great Pho spot all over Sacramento Area. We stumbled across this one after a weekend of shopping. This place is delightful. Service was good n point and timely, the food is filling and flavorful. It was 100 degrees outside and inside the restaurant people were still ordering pho. I think that speaks volumes to how good this place is AND what a pho craving can do to you even on a sweltering summer day. The food was so good that we forgot to take pictures. I love food pictures because I use them to try and recreate meals when I don't feel like going out. We recently moved back to California and haven't found our Pho and Bahn Mi spot. We took a chance and Pho Cali didn't disappoint. The service was perfect, we got what we needed when we needed it and they did not approach us every five minutes to see if we needed something. The place was very clean even though they were busy. Now for the food. We got the #41, #12, and #3. The Pho was served in a metal bowl and stayed hot the entire time we were eating it. I love to eat hot soup so the temperature was perfect. The Bahn Mi bread was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. All of the ingredients made for a really flavorful sandwich. The fresh spring rolls with shrimp were wrapped tightly and didn't fall apart. The peanut sauce was served warm, which was different yet satisfying. I am often underwhelmed by restaurants, but Pho Cali earned this 5 star review from a nobody. read more

I hate to do this but now twice I've called and ordered take out and my order has been wrong... yesterday instead of fried egg rolls, I received spring rolls with mystery meat in it. This wouldn't be a big deal if I wasn't allergic to some of the ingredients in the spring rolls. I will absolutely give it another try in hopes that it's just been two mistakes but really hoping to have a better experience next time. So it is nice when I get to update a review for a business and it's all because of a positive experience. Per my original review, this was named a different restaurant. According to the staff, this restaurant is under new ownership. My previous gripes were about service, food quality, food temperature, and food doneness. Today, we decided to try it since it was under new ownership. The restaurant still looks the same. It was fairly clean in terms of the seating. The floors could probably use a good sweeping but if they do it during quiet times, then that's good. When we walked in, we were immediately greeted by the waiter and seated. He quickly took our drink order and food order. We both ordered #34 which is pretty much what I get at every pho restaurant. Unlike last time, the broth was piping hot, my noodles were perfectly cooked, and the meat was not cold. In addition, the broth was very tasty. Without good broth, a bowl of pho has no life, no character. Unlike last time, I even got my plate of bean sprouts, basil leaves, cilantro, and limes. I could tell that the one young waiter was relatively new but I could see that he was trying his best. It is better than the last time I was here. I can tell that he will be a good waiter. All-in-all, this is a million times better than the one and only time that I came here when it was the other restaurant. I would definitely come back here to satisfy my Vietnamese food cravings in the future. So glad that I have another good Vietnamese restaurant to go to. read more

It's a little cold outside...how about some Pho? The family heard about this place from a friend...and it was a perfect choice. Pho was really good as well as the appetizer shrimp roll. Pho bowl was super large and the meat (chicken) was at the bottom. So, mix the bowl please... Other appetizers ordered were not that great and not many fans were found at the table... Came here for dinner with my bf and he got the house special pho and I got #44 pho with shrimp, pork and quail eggs. Both bowls were really big which is a plus. Broth was good and flavorful. Kinda disappointed how mine only came with 2 pieces of shrimp, bbq pork and quail eggs but had lots of veggies. Nonetheless we still enjoyed our meal but overall food was alright. Service was ok. I've been having a serious Vietnamese coffee craving/addiction lately, and I have been on the hunt to find a good coffee locally so decided to try Pho Cali during my lunch break. I got the Vietnamese iced coffee and a chicken banh mi. I placed an order on door dash and went to pick it up, super convenient my order was ready for me, they handed it to me and I was on my way (bypassing the line is a major plus on limited time). Let's start with the coffee, it was disappointing. It had a strange flavor, not sure what that was maybe the type of coffee they used? Definitely not the typical flavor I'm used to with traditional Vietnamese coffees. Secondly, the banh mi was okay. I liked the baguette a lot but the chicken I was unimpressed with. I'm used to Lee's banh mis and this was different, so it may just be my taste buds. read more
