Fresh sprouts for pho
Indiasky B.

So happy to have found this authentic Vietnamese restaurant . The pho broth was significantly stewed over hours. I didn't care for the sweetness flavor. I couldn't pinpoint what it was from. The fried rice was so good!!! It was that kind of dish that you just want one more bite of despite you are so full. The service was so comfy and complete. They make you feel like you're at your relative home. The restaurant looks clean and everything you need is at the tables. It has Vietnamese decor. Parking is on the street. Can't wait to go back to try something else .

Pho with steak, flank, tendon
Sajeeb A.

What an amazing and unexpected experience . We ordered the pho with the flank, steak, and tendon. We also got the spring rolls with shrimp as well as a pork bank mi. Starting off with the spring rolls, they were as expected full and fresh. It came with a side of peanut sauce, which was fine. The bahn mi was superb really just crispy and delicious and fresh. But the pho really kicked out of the park. For some reason, it's hard to find a good place but this was just amazing. The broth was nice and simmered, took a lot of flavors of the basil and the lime, and simmered it into the various portions of beef. This has to be my new favorite pho place within 100 mile radius. Staff was super kind and very helpful, cannot wait to return.

Pho from a local spot.

Pho Bistro was the first stop in my quest to try and find the best pho in York County. My usual spot is in Harrisburg, so having a local option would be great. The restaurant sits on a corner lot with easy access to parking. The inside has plenty of seating, well decorated and appears clean. Upon entering I was promptly greeted by a member of the staff despite the fact that you seat yourself. The service was great. My waitress was friendly and attentive. Now to the important part. I ordered a side of pork spring rolls to start and a bowl of pho with rare steak, well-done brisket, and tendon. The spring rolls came quickly and were accompanied with a peanut dipping sauce, which was delicious. The spring rolls tasted fresh and were also very good. The foundation of any good pho is the broth. Let me tell you, this broth is excellent. Clear and packed full of flavor. The meat was cooked nicely and the one piece of tendon I had was soft. The noodles were loose in the bowl, so you know they were cooked fresh. You can definitely tell that the pho is made with love and quality ingredients. Now to my one and only critique. The portion size seems to be smaller than I am used to for the price point. I'm not sure if they have a small and large, but I generally do a large bowl when given the choice. The meat and tendon, while cooked and flavored nicely, was rather skimpy. Only one piece of tendon in the bowl and a few strips of beef. Overall, I rate this a 4/5. A great start to my pho quest.

Crispy A7. Pork and Shrimp Spring Rolls

Great broth, accompaniments and service are some of the delights you will discover here. I stopped in for some rainy late afternoon pho and was not disappointed. The server was very friendly and accommodating. The facility is very clean and I would definitely return. :-)

Solid take out place. Lots of menu options beyond just pho. My noodles were a little on the bland side but tasty. Ample street parking.

Probably the best pho in York county! Very authentic! Everything we've had is great! Never disappointed in anything we've tried.

I'm sure there's some things on the menu I haven't had that could potentially be dynamite. After three experiences still pretty good.

Ninja charshu pork rice bowl is my second favorite, but too much rice. Chicken katsu rice bowl is dry, needs veggies. The curry chicken katsu bowl is better. Bulgolgi rice bowl is good but not enough beef, lots of veggies. Ramen - my favorites are the black garlic tonkotsu ramen, beef shank ramen, and pork shoyu ramen. The broths for all the ramen isn't the best ever but good for York area. Noodles have good bounce and QQ texture. Toppings are good. Apps - gyoza, edamame, spring rolls, salt and pepper chicken are good. their buns are okay. the soup dumplings were not the best in my opinion. Ambiance - really cool decorations inside. Service - super nice.

We ordered quite a few items including the Ninja Chashu Rice, Spring Rolls, Curry Chicken Rice, and Gyoza Dumplings. I had the Pepper Salted Chicken and the Chicken Shoyu Ramen. The Pepper Salted Chicken was okay. The breading could have been crispier. I don't know how to describe the flavor, but I wasn't a fan. I dipped the chicken in the ramen broth and that helped the flavor a little bit, but it made the breading soggy. I wouldn't order this appetizer again. The Chicken Shoyu ramen was good. I didn't make any modifications to the order (it came with egg, bamboo shoots, bean sprouts, scallions, corn, and fried onions). The broth had a nice umami flavor and the pieces of chicken were large. The portion was plentiful and I had enough for leftovers (ramen is always better the next day IMO). There's currently two locations in York which is nice considering that there doesn't seem to be many ramen options. It's not the best ramen that I've ever had, but it was decent.

They even have some boba tea options. Not sure I would trust the mango and strawberry mochi ice cream though. I got the spicy tonkatsu ramen combo which comes with a pork bun and Thai iced tea. I was able to get the Thai tea less sweet. Altogether it was $20 which isn't too bad. Thai tea was as you would expect nothing wrong with it. Pork bun was pretty good, nice soft bun with slices of pork with lettuce, cucumber with a sweet sauce. Spicy tonkatsu ramen was alright, above average for York, PA. It came with a closer to hard boiled half egg, one slice of fish cake, some bamboo, a few slices of chashu that was marinated but a little overcooked, and pink ginger.. Why they would put pink ginger in ramen is beyond me but it was not a good choice. Flavor of broth was good and spicy level is more of a mild. They do have a devil ramen which is much spicier. Ambience was cool, they have a mist machine with purple lights in the middle and a Naruto figure near the door. They also have a small tv playing Naruto episodes non-stop. Service was good too. Servers checked on my at appropriate times. One of the bathrooms was out of service when I came, hopefully they will fix that soon. Overall, worth a visit to get your Ramen fix in York.
