    Combination Pho soup

Pho Asian Star is a hidden gem! The pho is amazing--rich, flavorful, and just hits the spot. It's a cozy, family-owned spot with great service. If you're looking to take a client this is not the place. I Definitely recommend it if you're craving some delicious, authentic pho!

I'm just not having any luck with Pho restaurants around my area. 2 stars because service was wonderful and food wasn't that bad. My bowl of pho was just warm, not even close to hot. My husband's grilled pork vermicelli had a ton of bean sprouts in it and it was cold . Might as well call it a bean sprout salad. I just can't give it 5 stars because the restaurant is filthy. Roaches crawling around everywhere. Imagine when the lights are off. Friendly service but gotta get the place clean and inspected.

I ordered the Chicken Noodle Soup. The broth was sooooo god and tasty! it really hit the spot on a cold day! While I was eating with my friends, I did notice there were a lot of people coming in for take out. Service was very good. the servers work as a team and serve with a smile. Food came out promptly and the soup noodles came out hot. I will be back!

It is not surprise, I Pho sure love eating Pho! However that makes me more pickier than the average person when it comes to pho. It's all about the broth! Pho Asian Star nailed it!! It was so delicious and you can tell they cooked it for at least 24 hours. I also love that they have all the different spices at the tables: Chili oil, Siracha and Chili mix Most places I ask for Angry pho but they let me make it to my liking. I recommend this place and would come and eat here agai!

Looking for Asian flavors on Saturday night we checked Yelp and found my friend Richards recommendation for Asian Star and decided to pop in Unpretentious location on south bound lanes of I35 in a strip mall your are greeted as soon as you arrive We found a table and went thru the simple menu, we were hungry and decided to sample several things. We started with shrimp rolls - they were delicious with large size shrimp, rice wrapper was soft and fresh and of course it came with a yummy peanut sauce 5 Beef Pad Thai, very delicate noodles , nice size portion and not saturated in peanut nut sauce as other places will do it where your not able to taste the other ingredients 5 Chicken Pho , nice portion with plenty of fresh ingredients to add flavor but honestly even after adding all ingredients the broth seemed lacking in flavor 3 Chicken and Tofu platter with white rice 3.5. Good flavors, chicken was thigh meat which is my favorite but felt more chicken would have been better Overall, nice business..friendly and fresh food.. worth the visit

Best authentic pho in all of DFW. We try many places all over and this one is by far our favorite. Everyone is very kind and remember you.

Tiny portion and so little meat. Ordered 3 bowls of Pho, every bowl the same. Simply unacceptable.

The best Pho I've had living in the DFW area. Love the entire staff. Since recently discovering, I've eaten there probably 10 times.

Pho was good but a little to pricey for me. 4 people and we spent 80+ on dinner. We had Pho, spring roll, two dinner plates.

Big portions for good quality. Only thing that sucked was that the fried rice came with dark meat only, no white meat.

I got a delivery order so i cant speak to the atmosphere or service…read more I got Chicken Spring Rolls, Egg Rolls, and Combination Sandwhich. I couldnt finish anything other than egg rolls and that was only because i stopped dipping them in the wierd sauce that looked like water with oil floating on top. The sandwhich was disgusting and i only took 3 bites. The bread was very tough and stale like it sat out for a few days. The meat was very gritty. Every bite was like vinegar soaked sand. The Chicken Spring roll was just as bad. Meat so tough i could hardly chew it. The veggies inside had old brown spots and didnt look fresh at all. I ended up throwing nearly all of it away. I just moved to the area and was hoping to find some great places to eat. I wont be ordering from here ever again.

Tonight was the night didn't wanna cook and walked in place was nice clean and staff was friendly. Not alot of people my server was really nice and hospitable. I asked about the spring rolls and he asked if I had ever tried them I said yes the shrimp never beef. He said the beer were very good I told him bring me an order of beef spring rolls and the pork and shrimp vermicelli. Took about 5 min and my food came out it looked very appealing to the eye. Tried the spring rolls with the peanut sauce and o practically picked the peanut sauce bowl! Vermicelli was nice and looked so fresh! Put the sauce over it and dug in. When I say this was hood its an understatement I drank the sauce at the bottom of the bowl thats how much h I liked it! The place was pretty dead which I didn't mind their menu looked freaked good ill have to come back and try some other dishes! Really cute and cozy, tiny space so just know it will likely feel loud…read more Lychee martini and carajillo were really really good Ravioli was delicious Stuffed leeks were awesome Garlic noodles were overhyped, too garlicky for me. BUT our waiter recommended pouring the sauce from the stuffed leeks in the noodles, and that made them amazing. Don't get the duck- it was severely overcooked, tough, didn't want to eat it. The carrots were really good, it's a small serving The chocolate cake was the best cake I've ever had. For a restaurant at this level of hype and price, customer service is a key component. When we walked in, our waiter welcomed us quickly, he took time to talk through the menu, give his suggestions, and I thought we were going to have that special experience. We rarely saw him again the rest of the night. Random very nice people would bring us our items and let us ask for another drink, but our waiter seemed to be actively avoiding looking our way, wasn't the one to check us out, or say thanks and goodbye. It was just odd, I think maybe he was overworked. A relationship with the waiter is a nice thread to tie a dinner into a real experience from start to finish, just a thought. We'd definitely go back and try different things

Easily one of, if not my new favorite restaurant in Dallas…read more We celebrated my birthday here a few weeks ago and could not have had a better experience. We were seated at the bar, where a branded 'Happy Birthday' sign waited. From there, the bartender, Gabe, gave us a full rundown of the menu and offered suggestions for us. He could not have been more helpful or knowledgeable about each dish. He truly made the night feel special and even sent out two appetizers so that we got to try the dishes that he liked. Also, when we got were finishing up our meal and ordered the chocolate cake, there was a candle in it and he took our picture with a Polaroid camera to help commemorate the occasion. A small gesture that went a long way. The first dish that we got was the Kimchi and Gruyère rice fritters, which were one of the dishes that Gabe sent out and a great start to the night. From there, we ordered the stuffed leeks and the dauphine ravioli, both of which were fantastic and the highlights of the meal. Both must-order dishes. We opted for the branzino as our entree, and Gabe sent out a side of rice which paired with the fish perfectly. The only surprising miss for our meal was the garlic noodles, just felt a bit one dimensional. The chocolate cake was fantastic and a great way to end the meal. Overall will absolutely be back; we have talked a few times about what we will order the next time we visit.
