I got the rice vermicelli with spring rolls. It was not good. The springs rolls tasted bland and they did not use the rice paper that Vietnamese restaurants usually use. BF was in the mood for pho to help cure his cold, so we came to Pho 79 in the late afternoon. I ordered the small pho ga (chicken pho) and he ordered a medium pho with brisket and flank steak. Also ordered the egg rolls as an app. Loved the egg rolls! They put taro in them, which is one of my favorite! It just puts a little somethin somethin in your typical dish. Fish sauce was good as well. Both of our broth's were good in our soup, but we weren't crazy about the meat. For mine, they use chicken breast (which is stated on the menu) which I don't prefer cause it's 99% of the time dry. As was this one. BF's beef were huge chunks but were all over cooked, to the point where he couldn't really eat most of the pieces cause they were too tough and chewy. This place is awesome! Amazing pho, my boyfriend and I love their short rib and roasted pork also. The teas are a must try too- get a kiwi flavored tea with no milk and no boba. It's life changing. The service is always impeccable, even if they're slammed and super busy. I love its closeness to FIU and its ease of access if you live on or spend most of your time on campus. Love this place! Such consistent and fast service! Their broth is cooking AAALLLLLL day. Everyone wears gloves and is always switching them out! Your food comes minutes after you order and so do any specialty drinks. They don't care if you sit there forever and chat or take a while eating. They're so polite, clean, and kind. Pho 79 is my go to place for all my PHO-NEEDS. located conveniently close to my work, this place truly filled a void for Vietnamese food in the sweetwater, doral area. I usually have #30, medium, with meatballs. The broth is truly perfect. So much flavour that I am already salivating writing this review. Great amount of beef and noodles. Top with cilantro, thai basil, and bean sprouts. Add a squirt or two of lime. Mix it all in and slurp away. I always leave happy and thinking when will my next visit be!! Unfortunately this is Miami's best version of pho. It's a means to an end. After visiting Vietnam, I jokingly refer to their soup as Vietnamese Soup. Not worthy of the "pho" name. Their bun Bo hue, spicy version of pho with thicker noodles, is a little closer to authentic than the pho. If you happened to party too much the night before, this place is good for a hangover(pho in Vietnam is often breakfast anyway). Service is always fast and friendly. Very fun fact, the number of the restaurant is the year the family immigrated to America, pretty freaking cool. read more

This place is so good I crave it almost weekly. Its tucked in a shopping plaza near FIU and if you've never had Pho do yourself a favor and give this place a try first. There is a list of the meat, seafood or vegetable pho you can choose from. The broth is so rich and savory, noodles are plenty and portions are generous. I can never get pass a small size. They provide a plate of condiments and spices to add if you wish to do so, but its so good as is. Also highly recommend any of the rice and meat plates. The service is top notch. They get food out quick so if you have a timed lunch this is a good place to visit. My go to is also the mango boba smoothie for dessert. If you haven't tried Pho and you're in Miami, this is the place to go. It gets packed but there's plenty of staff on hand. Great Vietnamese food! Authentic! When I go here I usually have the 21. Truly wonderful food! This spot is by no means fancy - but dang do they have good pho. Every time I have come in, they are packed. Do not let the line intimidate you though, they are efficient and there is enough seating that folks rotate through relatively quickly. The broth is excellent, the fixings are bountiful and you can make it as spicy as you'd like! They also offer boba of the frozen variety, a nice twist. My go to pho spot has been closed for the past couple months so I've been on the hunt for a new favorite and wow. We drove far out of the way to get here but I am so glad I checked this place out! The atmosphere is very welcoming and chill and we were greeted as soon as we walked in. As an appetizer we ordered the egg rolls and they were probably the tastiest I've ever had, I have no idea what was so different about them but I highly recommend them! Our appetizer came out at the same time as our pho which wasn't an issue for us at all. I had the pho #31 and it was to die for. My boyfriend and I each got a large and trust me when I say their large is LARGE. We normally destroy a big bowl of pho on our own but their sizes are humongous so keep that in mind!! Their broth was flavorful and they offer so much fresh meat. Their noodles were perfect and they certainly don't skimp out on you like most places. I forgot why I haven't eaten here in a while and now I remember... as an Asian person who grew up eating this, the food here is literally sub-par. All the ppl who are giving this place 4 star above probably have never had Vietnamese food and this is prob their first Vietnamese restaurant EVER. Today I ordered this and realized they jumped the price to almost $20.. this is literally not worth $20. I barely have any noodles, the meat is literally BURNT and inedible. I was disappointed in the food despite the good ratings. We were visiting Miami and Vietnamese food doesn't seem to be abundant in the area so I was hopeful for some comfort food. We ordered the Tai Chin Pho (Thinly Sliced Beef Pho), Bun Bo Hue (Spicy Beef Noodle Soup), Com Thit Nuong (BBQ Beef Broken Rice) & Bun Thit Nuong (BBQ Vermicelli Bowl). All were subpar or decent - it was weird to bring out the rice and vermicelli bowls without fish sauce or any sauce, the beef was salty and had a weird smell to it. The Pho was also not piping hot when it came out. Overall, maybe it was an off day for them but it was not a memorable experience for me. I was surprised a lot of the workers were not Vietnamese which is okay but I hope they do know more about the menu and each dish/what pairs with each Vietnamese dish. read more

I honestly did not really like it. The dishes look good and the portions are big enough for sharing. Maybe I just didn't order the right dish. I had the rice noodle bowl with tools and grilled pork. The pork tasted fine but nothing impressive and I was a bit turned off by the appearance. The tools were a major disappointment... they were tough, oily, and really lacking in flavor. I think they were overly stuffed with tarp and not flaky and tender like I'm used to having them. We also had some chicken pho, the flavor was good and it was big but just not impressive. Visiting Miami for the first time after a week long cruise to the Caribbean. Was craving Vietnamese and was very happy to visit this location. The place was fairly packed in a Friday afternoon. We ordered the Bun Bo Hue and Bun Tit Nuong. The hubby liked the Bun Tit Nuong. The BunBo Hue was good but salty. The bowls comes with a giant piece of "knuckle" and several cubes of pork blood. I was scared about getting the beefy pho cause I thought it was going to be heavy but it's a really nice and light broth. They provide separate vegetables on the side that you can add to your own liking like mint, culantro, lime, onions and jalapeños.
