It is permanently closed. Please update hours? It was a big disappointment to drive all the way there to find they were closed.

I want to like this place so bad, but unfortunately I didn't even get to try it! I placed an order on Door Dash. I ordered McDonalds for my daughter and then Pho for me.. I see they had beef banh mi, and beef & tendon pho.. which sounded amazing to me. I was dealing with a little hangover and as you know, Pho can always heal those horrible feelings.. I normally get Pho from a few places I know; but this place looked really good and the ratings were good. Anywho, I'm sitting there waiting on my order, the. I check to see the status of my delivery, as I look McDonalds is being picked up, but my whole Pho 503 order is cancelled. Â refund is issued. The restaurant nor DoorDash called me to let me know anything or ask if I wanted something else.. Door Dash didn't ask me if I wanted credits or â refund; they just refunded it automatically. And of course it takes time for the money to come back in your account. With credits I would have just ordered Pho from another restaurant. So come to find out, the cancelled my order because what I ordered was out of stock.. The place is called Pho 503... how are you out of Pho? Or even if a portion of it was out of stock; then call and ask if I wanted something different. I was so looking forward to trying this pho. And I wasn't going to place a whole new order from another Pho place because I already spent $33 that I have to wait for it to come back on my account. Also, I tried calling the restaurant multiple times, and it rings once and goes to â voicemail that says they can't be contacted right now. So customer service is already not the best. According to the other reviews, the food is good. I just wish I would have gotten to try the food. This kind of put a bad taste in my mouth for them, but I may possibly go in to the restaurant and see what the restaurant looks like and if the ambiance is good etc. Hopefully it will be a better experience. Also, please restaurants stop putting your menus on doordash if you are out of items. read more

Free private parking in the heart of downtown! Inside ~ Older building with some paint refreshed updates. Clean, orderly, a good amount of seating to handle the different rush from the college. Hard-working couple with the wife singlehandedly running front of house. Tables full, phone ringing, these owners are hustling! Service ~ some may get the wrong impression, but the owner is a bit rough in a friendly way! Multitasking the lunch rush by herself is first bump worthy. Pho comes out hot, perfect on this rainy day. Stir fry is a huge plate full of vegetables & tofu, balanced & tasty sauce. Only annoyance is it is freezing inside. Not enjoyable having to wear your winter jacket during the meal. *Boarded up window and giant rock on display shows the vandalism this small business has to endure. read more

When it's cold outside, I tend to gravitate towards something soupy - the choice this time was pho. This place isn't too far from the office, and I thought I would try them out. What's nice is that they have a snack parking lot for customers (parking can be hard sometimes). The decor is nice and simple, with the layout spread out. I had the House Special pho (minus the tendon). The bowl came out pretty quick and was at the right temperature. The pho was decent, and the meats were tasty. The server made sure that the water glass was filled at all times. Overall, it's a decent spot to check out. read more

I ordered the beef pho and it was good, don't get me wrong. I'm just not used to paying $17 for a bowl of pho. It was definitely much needed while I was walking around and craving something warm on a gloomy day though. The waiter was very nice. read more

Ordered the house phone and a Vietnamese egg coffee. Both were great, large portion with a good amount of meat. Will be coming again.

The cook came out to the table and he asked me how the soup was and I told him it was too oily. It didn't taste brand new. The noodles tasted old and he was really rude to me and told me, I didn't know how to eat the soup properly. Nobody should go to this restaurant. It is the worst restaurant ever stepped into in my whole entire life. They need to work on their etiquette and their manners and learn to not bother the customers. This other group of people came in and the cook told the man you have to sit over here so we can watch you to see what you're doing. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. It was beyond absurd. This is our go-to restaurant for Pho. I love their beef broth and regularly order the soup with just one kind of meat. Also, their crispy spring rolls are perfect! Found this place while driving by PSU and showing the kids where Dad went to school. My middle child loves Pho so we had to try. It was after lunch so the place was empty with only two other students eating. Upon entering the lady was very attentive and nice. We were seated quickly, order was taken promptly and water was refilled often. As for the food. My pho loving daughter said this is probably one of the best Chicken Pho's she's had yet. And the kicker is the fact she ate it all. My child rarely eats all her food anywhere. My son had the grilled pork chop plate with egg. He said the flavor was a 10/10. It was sliced thin with lots of flavor. He said the meat was soft. I had the house special and it was a nice combination of meats. The broth was very well seasoned with a nice full bodied mouth feeling that was slightly oily. I'd definitely recommend if you're looking for a good bowl of pho. read more

My friend and I decided to get some pho at this place because we had driven by it multiple times on our vacation. I parked the car but the owner or employee yelled at us to move our car. Broth and noodles are as sour and tough as their attitudes. They serve food and it's pho...Not much else to say. Don't expect to park and look at menu if you are an introverted eater who takes a minute to look at the menu before you waste a small business' time and space before you are a sure of your order. Parked for 5 mins after reading great reviews and trying for takeout multiple times last year when I lived in the PSU area;Rude employees greeted me with a warm and stern warning this time to park somewhere else or hurry up and buy their food. Pho 503 does not disappoint. The pho they serve is delicious. With a nice clear broth that is perfectly seasoned and not too herby, it is the perfect meal for a cold, gloomy day. I dropped by during lunch on a school day and although the restaurant was busy, it was not crowded. I was able to be seated, order, and checkout within an hour. I ordered the Steak and Tendon Pho. I loved the ratio of meat to noodles in my bowl. It was the perfect balance. Every other slurp could be accommodated by a piece of steak or tendon. Note, the steak in the pho is initially undercooked as it is meant to cook in the hot broth. This is to prevent overcooking the thinly sliced meat which can be rough to consume. On the side it comes with a side of basil, bean sprouts, sliced jalapeños, and limes. A dipping sauce with hoisin and hot sauce is also offered. In addition to pho, we ordered the Spicy Beef Noodle Soup. After the server's warning about the spice level, we agreed to get it mild instead of medium. The Spicy Beef Noodle is perfect for those who love spicy and fish-sauce flavored things. As a mild, the spice level is similar to a classic Korean Shin Ramen. The noodles are not pho noodles. It is a thicker but softer noodle that pairs well with the dish. Similar to the pho, there are good portions of meat. I would totally come back here for the pho. It's conveniently located, they have lots of indoor seating (thank godness because it hailed today), and they have dank pho. read more

Came in here after paddle boarding so we were kind of a mess. T shirts over swimsuits and hair a mess from the River. I didn't feel judged by the staff at all. The service was great! Food was amazing!!! I got the veggie pho with lettuce wraps and peanut sauce. Top notch. I didn't eat very much of my soup (I never do, I usually eat some at the restaurant and finish it over the next day or 2 at home). Since my bowl was still pretty full the server helped me get the soup into the container. Which was really appreciated! The server asked if everything was ok because I hadn't eaten much. Called ahead as I was looking to dine in, as a visitor (pardon the ignorance) but didn't know there's an ordinance of sorts where there's no dine in allowed. Had the Shrimp Spring Rolls and a Vegetable Pho which the server kindly suggested to go with the beef broth as they say it's more flavorful. The items were nicely package and no spillage on my walk back to the hotel. Everything arrived without any accidents and the broth was piping hot. Just nice for this chilly weather. The peanut sauce for the rolls was amazing and chunky with peanuts. The Pho had all the trimmings nicely bagged and portioned properly. Huge portions may I add! Tasty dinner for $21 overall. Just finished getting vision checked, and it's not smart to go grocery shopping on an empty stomach. I'd buy the whole store. But running low on time... It's cold and windy too... which means, pho time! Everything tends to be $15 or below, so budget friendly too. Ordered house special with *everything* - no need to choose, when it's all warm and savory. We were seated and menu was brought instantly. The toppings arrived within minutes, and the main dish came by 5 minutes. It's a time saver when you want wholesome "fast food". I loved how Jamun rice wasn't gooey, and meat was tender. It also had many tendons which is my absolute favorite :) My mother enjoyed the Siracha and plum sauce - on our shopping list now! I didn't see the moon cakes lining the counter, perhaps not enough foot traffic? It's sad to see so many surrounding establishments has closed down, and I'm glad my old town favorite from college days is available. Hope we'll get over the pandemic soon, and many more students will be able to enjoy the comfort food again. read more
