Noodle dish with egg rolls and shrimp. Also shown complimentary pho noodle soup for kids
Norma C.

This is my 2nd time here and it's decent. This time we came during the week around lunch time so not too busy. Ambiance is like a typical pho spot, workers did come around and checked on us often and refilled our waters quickly. The first time I ordered the oxtail pho and they gave good sized oxtails. This time I opted for the bun and idk, this was the first time my noodles were warm.. I've had this dish before at other pho spots and it was never served with warm noodles. It was still good just wasn't what I was used to. I asked the server to remove the bean sprouts and what a surprise they were still mixed in with the noodles (no worries though). I also asked her how many shrimp would come in the bun and she said they give a decent amount and I guess 5 was decent to her. "Shrugs" Egg rolls were hot and stale at the same time. I could have done without this dish. I did try my toddler nieces pho broth (which was complimentary) and it tasted delicious. I should just stick to my regular order of pho moving forward. The spring rolls were good, it didn't stand out but I'd get them again.

Their pho 45 special and spring rolls are my go to order! Always great service and whenever I crave Vietnamese food this is the place I always go to!

We don't live close to this pho restaurant back make an effort to come here if our children have a drs appt (across the street). They are really nice and are warmly greeted upon entering the restaurant. They are very attentive and literally bring you your utensils and water as you're sitting down. I got the pork vermicelli and my fiancé got the #2 rare steak pho. Both dishes were flavorful and filling. This is definitely one of our pho spots!

Had a great first time here at Pho 45, I've been meaning to try this place out due to how close by it is and they have pho ga, something I've always wanted to try! They give a LOT of meat, i swear my pho ga was 99% chicken and 1% pho noodles lol! Broth has cilantro + green onions, yum! Their condiment stand has sriracha, hoison sauce, chili oil, and sambal sauce, so you can really mix and match these sauces into your pho and your sliced onions. Service was outstanding- second you step in, you are kindly greeted and get to choose your seat. They bring out your waters, utensils, napkins immediately. They check up on you to make sure you are taken care of if you need anything. 6 out 5 stars for the service, never had this amazing of service like this before at any pho restaurant, major shoutout to the PM crew on 6/9, you guys made our first time experience here AMAZING!

#40 classic

Food is delicious, server is nice, restraint is clean Ambience is amazing, lovely food place

Best pho in La Mirada, place is clean and servers are very friendly. Pho tastes so good here and my favorite dish is grilled port with shrimp. It's my favorite restaurant.

Same owner as the Pho 45 in Garden Grove! Happy that they opened a location in La Mirada. Egg rolls and pho were delicious and the servers were very attentive.

8/10 Egg Rolls - These are your classic, reliable pho spot egg rolls. They're fried to a nice crisp and hit all the traditional notes you'd expect. Nothing groundbreaking, but definitely a good, solid appetizer. 8/10 Grilled Pork with Fried Egg - This is a standard, plate of grilled pork and rice. The flavors are exactly what you'd hope for, even if it doesn't necessarily reinvent the dish. It's a safe, tasty bet for a meal. 7/10 Thai Tea - The drink itself is decent, but it's served in a very small cup. For $5.00, I was definitely expecting a larger portion. It tastes fine, but the value for the price is a bit of a letdown. Cost - Eggs rolls (6) $17.00, Grilled Pork with Fried Egg $15.99. All items before tax's and tip.

Number 1 Combination Pho (with added meatballs)

My partner and I have been coming here for almost 9 years now and it is the best pho I have had in Southern California! Honestly, perhaps anywhere. It is nice and bright inside, comfy, with a lot of tables, and the service is always friendly and attentive. Food comes out fast and is always delicious, every type of pho I've had here has been phenomenal. The vermicelli and the spring rolls are good too! It is our favorite pho spot, and we drive out quite a ways to come eat here, it is that good.

It's very good and a lot of portions of noodles. And also, they are pretty good expectations for the price.

Do you add sugar to Pho? I am on a Keto diet that requires me no sugars. Appreciate your help

Traditional Pho contains rock sugar. The level of rock sugar also depends if you are eating "north" pho or "southern" pho. Sriracha also has sugar.

The pho had a rich, flavorful broth, and the cauliflower was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The restaurant was busy when I visited, but everything moved quickly and the staff did a great job keeping things organized. Since there are multiple locations, we debated between the South Gate and Whittier spots because they're both about the same distance from us in Montebello. For our first visit, I'm really glad we chose this location. The shopping center is huge, so finding parking was easy, even though the area was busy. When we walked in, the restaurant was pretty crowded. All of the booths were occupied, and only a few tables were available, so we waited about five minutes while a staff member cleaned a booth for us. Once seated, we looked over the menu and ordered the egg rolls and garlic truffle fries to start. For our entrées, we chose the ribeye pho and chicken pho. The server was kind enough to offer me a sample of the salted coffee. I had already had coffee earlier in the day, so I didn't order one, but I'm glad I tried it because I'll definitely be getting one next time. Instead, I ordered the cucumber limonade. Overall, we had a great experience. The staff was friendly, attentive, and checked on us throughout our meal. The food was delicious, and we'll definitely be back the next time we're looking for a good late-night pho spot.

Food: We ordered the Galbi-Tang and Sul-Long-Tang, and our food came out pretty quickly. Both soups were really flavorful and comforting, and the broth was definitely the most memorable part of the meal. The banchan on the side was a little weaker compared to some other Korean spots I've been to, but the soups more than made up for it. Parking: They have their own parking lot, which made parking easy when we visited. I really enjoyed the food here and would definitely come back, especially when I'm craving a comforting bowl of soup.

You come here for Korean comfort food, metal dishes of banchan, enormous bowls of soup and stone pots hot enough to continue cooking your dinner while you eat it. And that stone pot is where I'd start. The gondre dolsot bibimbap was fantastic. Gondre is Korean thistle and here it gets worked through the rice with the egg, seaweed and everything else until the whole thing becomes earthy, savory and deeply satisfying. But the best part comes underneath. Leave it alone long enough and the rice against the stone develops that beautiful scorched crust, nurungji, which you eventually scrape loose and mix back through everything. That combination of the greens, sesame, egg and crispy rice is ridiculously good. There are dishes you finish because you're hungry and dishes where you keep digging around the bottom of the bowl because you're convinced there must be another good piece hiding somewhere. This was the latter. The galbitang was more complicated for me. The beef itself was excellent. Generous pieces, tender, falling easily from the bone and soft enough that our kids loved it. Plenty of green onion, too. My issue was the broth. I prefer galbitang on the restrained side so I can decide where it goes from there. Same reason I like seolleongtang arriving almost defiantly plain, give me the broth and let me dress it up myself with salt, saeujeot or whatever else I want. Han Yang has already made those decisions for you. The galbitang broth was noticeably sweet and salty and eventually it became a little much for me. That's preference as much as criticism, plenty of people will probably love it exactly as it arrives. I just wanted the volume turned down. The banchan was similarly mixed but mostly good. The napa kimchi was solid and nicely balanced. The kkakdugi was particularly good. The mustard greens, however, were ferociously sour. I like fermented food. These had me physically wincing. The dipping sauce for the galbi was excellent, though and I kept going back to it. Rice was average and a little dry. It did its job. Service was good and the whole experience was easy. The room itself has some age on it, tables are fairly close together and depending on where you're seated you may find yourself with a commanding view of the bathroom door. Nobody has ever requested the chef's table at the restroom, but here we are. Somehow I don't particularly mind any of it. Han Yang feels like a restaurant that knows what it is. It isn't polished into anonymity. People are here eating giant bowls of soup, mixing rice in scorching stone pots and getting on with their lives. And when a restaurant can put something as good as that gondre bibimbap in front of me, I can forgive a dry bowl of rice and a bathroom with excellent sightlines. Absolutely coming back. And next time, I'm getting that bibimbap again.
