    Pho and lemongrass rice place
    Ngoc R.

Visited around noon on a Saturday just before the lunch rush. Food was on point, they kind of skimped on the veggies understandably so as it is winter lol but I did have to request for extra basil and green onions. No complaints tho! This place is a solid spot.

    amazing and Fresh!

My favorite dish is veggie fried rice! it's very good with great flavor! My husband gets Pho! that's mosts favorite! Pork skewers are a favorite as well. Service is pretty quick. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This location can get busy at lunch time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance needs some help, not a fan of the red walls and dirty windows.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Thinking they could brighten the walls, get rid of the screen the tv and the music is disturbing and to loud.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Needs to turn the heat one or get a costco fireplace to warm it up![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Pho 36 has good food, but LOUSY service by young waiters who don't care if you get your order. We were just there, ordered lunch , and waited a more than the usual wait. I had ordered Vietnamese coffee. When we received our food, I asked a 2nd server about the coffee. After 10 minutes, after having neither water or coffee, I asked for water. The 2nd server told me the coffee was "dripping," and told me to wait. In the meantime, he sat down one couple, bussed tables, and sat behind the counter. Upon leaving to go, he brought ice coffee. I said "too late. It was supposed to come with the meal (hot coffee). Take off the coffee, and I will give you no tip." He said that he was by himself. I told the first server he forgot my coffee. I should not have to ask for hot coffee 3 times, and be given the wrong coffee tas I am leaving

Food was ok, but portions were smaller than before. We ordered two drinks, I want hot Vietnamese coffee, but coffee didn't come after 20+ minutes, when being asked then the waiter told me they couldn't do hot coffee. That's fine, I said iced then but I wanted less ice, then they gave me coffee with less ice but coffee only 2/3 full. My husband ordered normal ice level, but whole cup of coffee was filled with ice, $7 coffee was gone only after a few sips.

Vegetable and fried tofu pho with egg rolls

After shopping at Alderwood mall on a rainy Saturday afternoon, I looked up a few pho spots within the area and came across Pho 36. I was a little hesitant to give the place a try at first as I have a favorite pho spot further south (on my way home) but am so happy I gave this place a chance. The place had a few tables, and the workers seemed quite busy but I was greeted warmly and seated quickly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was noticeably clean too.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the vegetable and fried tofu pho with beef broth and a side of egg rolls. To my delight, they gave me 4 eggs for $8. The broth was some of the best savory broth I've ever had and there was an assortment of vegetables (broccoli, bok choy, mushrooms, carrots, green onion) unlike other places that only give you carrots and broccoli. The pho was reasonably priced for the area at $13.50. This place has 5 stars in my book and I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area again and try their other dishes.

Came in on a Thursday night with my daughter when we had a hankering for pho. We both ordered pho with beef brisket and flank. We were offered two sizes: medium or large. We ordered the medium. It was huge. My daughter couldn't finish her bowl. I did. (: The broth was flavorful, the add-ins were fresh (basil, sprouts, lime, jalapenos) and the dining room was clean. When we needed a fork and extra napkins, we got them. We will definitely come back. Despite only one person working the dining room and simultaneously taking to-go orders, service was prompt and friendly enough.

Pho was tasty, Prices reasonable. $12.50-$14 for generous portion of Pho. Wished I hadn't used the restroom....very filthy. Always an indication of how clean the kitchen may be... Only saw 2 employees working. One front line and one back kitchen. They were handling quite a few takeout orders. We ordered the seafood and chicken Pho. Chicken was a bit chewy.

Pho with brisket (and the bug).

We really enjoyed their food until we found a bug in it after ordering takeout one night. I called to request a refund and I was originally told they were sorry but couldn't do anything. I asked for my money back and I was told we need to bring the "evidence" in, so we did. Got our refund but will definitely not eat here again.

God help us if our meat was stored in there!

We moved recently and this spot is around the corner, however we likely will never visit again.. Highlight was lunch with my Queen. Next is the egg-rolls, pretty tasty! The Bahn Mi was pretty good also, bigger than most. The Pho was ok, have had better.. The broth was not as flavorful as we've had other places. Nobody asked how our meal was, nor did they ever refill my water. If the place wasn't so filthy, and the service poor, we would probably return, simply because it's within walking distance. There is spot in Everett called Basil Authentic that blows this place out of the water!

    the reciept

Went there yesterday for lunch with my husband. Order one medium beef pho with extra noodles, one large vegetarian pho with beef broth. The waiter reapeted the order right, eventhought without writing anything down. Waited for awhile, came out the other way around, got Large beef pho with medium veggie pho. I mentioned it to him, and he brought it back to the kitchen. When it came out again, it looked like the cook only switching the size of the bowl, my medium pho came with way too much noodles and the broth not filles up. And I had to ask where was the extra noodles that we order. He came back with those, when we are making a payment, i noticed they charged me twice for the extra noodles. He argued with me and kept saying No. I have a reciept that proved that. Oh well, what kinda service is that, not only you made mistake, not owning it and charge me for your mistake, he needs more training to do his job and get some note pad so you can write down the order!!

Came in for lunch around 12:30pm. About 3 of the 20ish were taken so we were seated right away. Flip through the menus but we knew what we came for. Bun Bo hue and banh canh cua! Took maybe 10-15 minutes and we had it on our table. Quick! Both bowls were robust with flavor and very good! Were they the best I've ever had? No. Were they really really good, yeah! Would I come again? Absolutely! Located in a small plaza near the convention center. Don't hesitate to stop in when you need your viet fix. I live in the Alderwood area and I'll definitely stop in here and there from now on.

    Bánh canh cua

I ordered Banh canh cua. It was $15 per order. For some reason, it doesn't taste as good as the one in Everett. The store was old. Plenty of room Service was ok

It has that hole-in-the-wall feel off Aurora, but honestly, this is some of the best Vietnamese food I have ever had. I am Vietnamese myself, and I have been looking for months, really years, for a Vietnamese restaurant in the Seattle area that actually feels worth coming back to. A lot of places have been average, or they have dishes like bún riêu or bún bò Huế on the menu but do not really do them well. Lotus Pond does. I tried the bún riêu and the bò né with steak and sizzling eggs, and both were delicious. My friend got the seafood pho and loved it too. Everything tasted like someone actually cared about the food, and I really appreciated seeing menu items that you usually have to search far and wide for, or go somewhere like Orange County or Houston to find done properly. The only downside is that it is definitely on the expensive side, but I will absolutely be coming back. The outside may not be flashy, but the food is seriously worth it.

Fast forward a year later to a Sunday at 12:30pm and I finally made the long drive here without going through Aurora Ave since my GPS randomly decided to give my road rage some grace. This place has plenty parking around the perimeter, so it was easy settling in. Only confusion was finding the entrance to this place, but when I did I was actually surprised where I was stepping into. Inside is laid back and cool with plenty of seating for groups of various sizes. There's tables and booths, and I got booth seating for myself when I walked in. There's a TV playing sports nearby where I was, and Vietnamese pop music was playing in the background too. Menu consists of regular foods in most Vietnamese restaurants, though their provincial noodle soups and banh mi sandwiches caught my eye. They even have bún măng vịt (duck and bamboo shoot noodle soup), my favorite that I gotta try next time I come here! From my IG feeds and as a starting point, I got their bánh mì thịt heo nướng (grilled pork Vietnamese sandwich), which comes with all the works of a regular banh mi sandwich, though I was kinda surprised how brightly orange the grilled pork was. Regardless, it was tasty and the meat was juicy. The pork pate added a nice savory touch to the sandwich, and no other condiment was in excess that it took away taste from the flavorful grilled pork. Staff was very kind throughout, and refilled my water every now and then. It was also nice chatting with one of them about our day and other recommendations from the menu. There's so much to have on their menu so I need to make the drive here again to have more of their stuff!

It tastes just as good and has the same wonderful quality I remember from growing up. I love their vermicelli bowls and their Vietnamese crepe the most. I also love their pho. I hadn't eaten here In years and my wife never. They used to give a nice refreshing lychee water drink with a long dessert spoon for the fruit which I remember loving long ago. Many other tables had them but we were never offered it as service was brisk yet not very friendly. I ordered a Dac Biet pho (my regular choice) but they don't have tripe??? I usually pass on pho restaurants that don't serve tripe and tendon. I was at best average but honestly not near the best I've ever had in the US or Vietnam. At almost $20 for a bowl I wasn't impressed enough to say "let's go back". My wife ordered the pork vermicelli bowl (her usual). She liked it ok and I tried a bit. Again pretty tasty and in my opinion a better dish than their pho, but not worthy of returning over other choices. Overall if you are comfortable parking in a tight little parking lot to eat average food in a little old building it's not a bad choice. But I would not purposefully go back even though we shop often at Costco and Home Depot nearby.
