Pho 36 is one of our favorite pho restaurants in the Lynnwood area. We've dined in at and done takeout from Pho 36 several times and it's been consistently good. It's a restaurant that can easily accommodate small parties of 2 to 4, as well as larger parties of 8+ with relative ease. The staff has always been friendly and able to accommodate any of our requests, both for dine in and takeout. The food there is "good." We've tried a variety of different pho and other soup dishes, as well as various rice and vermicelli noodle bowl dishes too and we've routinely enjoyed the food. If you're not interested in pho, but want soup, then I would strongly suggest the Bun Bo Hue, which may be my favorite soup - that or ramen. Of the pho/Vietnamese restaurants that I've tried in the Lynnwood area, Pho 36 has consistently been as good if not better than all of them. Went there yesterday for lunch with my husband. Order one medium beef pho with extra noodles, one large vegetarian pho with beef broth. The waiter reapeted the order right, eventhought without writing anything down. Waited for awhile, came out the other way around, got Large beef pho with medium veggie pho. The bahn xeo here is fantastic. I live in Seattle and have a couple local Vietnamese spots that don't offer this dish, which is one of my favorites. I was in Lynnwood earlier this week getting air filters and saw that pho 36 offers bahn xeo. Bahn xeo, for those who aren't familiar, is a golden rice flower crispy pancake/crepe, usually stuffed with bean sprouts, pork and shrimp. It's usually eaten wrapped up in lettuce with herbs like basil, cilantro and shiso and then dipped into a sweet vinegary fish sauce. The combination of flavors and textures are really wonderful. I ordered the bahn xeo and ate it at home, it's not the easier takeout meal but held up pretty well. If I'm in the area, will definitely stop by for bahn xeo. read more
