    Pho and lemongrass rice place
    Ngoc R.

Visited around noon on a Saturday just before the lunch rush. Food was on point, they kind of skimped on the veggies understandably so as it is winter lol but I did have to request for extra basil and green onions. No complaints tho! This place is a solid spot.

My favorite dish is veggie fried rice! it's very good with great flavor! My husband gets Pho! that's mosts favorite! Pork skewers are a favorite as well. Service is pretty quick. This location can get busy at lunch time. The ambiance needs some help, not a fan of the red walls and dirty windows. Thinking they could brighten the walls, get rid of the screen the tv and the music is disturbing and to loud. Needs to turn the heat one or get a costco fireplace to warm it up!

    Thumbs down

Pho 36 has good food, but LOUSY service by young waiters who don't care if you get your order. We were just there, ordered lunch , and waited a more than the usual wait. I had ordered Vietnamese coffee. When we received our food, I asked a 2nd server about the coffee. After 10 minutes, after having neither water or coffee, I asked for water. The 2nd server told me the coffee was "dripping," and told me to wait. In the meantime, he sat down one couple, bussed tables, and sat behind the counter. Upon leaving to go, he brought ice coffee. I said "too late. It was supposed to come with the meal (hot coffee). Take off the coffee, and I will give you no tip." He said that he was by himself. I told the first server he forgot my coffee. I should not have to ask for hot coffee 3 times, and be given the wrong coffee tas I am leaving

Food was ok, but portions were smaller than before. We ordered two drinks, I want hot Vietnamese coffee, but coffee didn't come after 20+ minutes, when being asked then the waiter told me they couldn't do hot coffee. That's fine, I said iced then but I wanted less ice, then they gave me coffee with less ice but coffee only 2/3 full. My husband ordered normal ice level, but whole cup of coffee was filled with ice, $7 coffee was gone only after a few sips.

Pho with brisket (and the bug).

We really enjoyed their food until we found a bug in it after ordering takeout one night. I called to request a refund and I was originally told they were sorry but couldn't do anything. I asked for my money back and I was told we need to bring the "evidence" in, so we did. Got our refund but will definitely not eat here again.

Vegetable and fried tofu pho with egg rolls

After shopping at Alderwood mall on a rainy Saturday afternoon, I looked up a few pho spots within the area and came across Pho 36. I was a little hesitant to give the place a try at first as I have a favorite pho spot further south (on my way home) but am so happy I gave this place a chance. The place had a few tables, and the workers seemed quite busy but I was greeted warmly and seated quickly. The place was noticeably clean too. I ordered the vegetable and fried tofu pho with beef broth and a side of egg rolls. To my delight, they gave me 4 eggs for $8. The broth was some of the best savory broth I've ever had and there was an assortment of vegetables (broccoli, bok choy, mushrooms, carrots, green onion) unlike other places that only give you carrots and broccoli. The pho was reasonably priced for the area at $13.50. This place has 5 stars in my book and I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area again and try their other dishes.

    Chicken Pho

Pho was tasty, Prices reasonable. $12.50-$14 for generous portion of Pho. Wished I hadn't used the restroom....very filthy. Always an indication of how clean the kitchen may be... Only saw 2 employees working. One front line and one back kitchen. They were handling quite a few takeout orders. We ordered the seafood and chicken Pho. Chicken was a bit chewy.

Came in on a Thursday night with my daughter when we had a hankering for pho. We both ordered pho with beef brisket and flank. We were offered two sizes: medium or large. We ordered the medium. It was huge. My daughter couldn't finish her bowl. I did. (: The broth was flavorful, the add-ins were fresh (basil, sprouts, lime, jalapenos) and the dining room was clean. When we needed a fork and extra napkins, we got them. We will definitely come back. Despite only one person working the dining room and simultaneously taking to-go orders, service was prompt and friendly enough.

    the reciept

Went there yesterday for lunch with my husband. Order one medium beef pho with extra noodles, one large vegetarian pho with beef broth. The waiter reapeted the order right, eventhought without writing anything down. Waited for awhile, came out the other way around, got Large beef pho with medium veggie pho. I mentioned it to him, and he brought it back to the kitchen. When it came out again, it looked like the cook only switching the size of the bowl, my medium pho came with way too much noodles and the broth not filles up. And I had to ask where was the extra noodles that we order. He came back with those, when we are making a payment, i noticed they charged me twice for the extra noodles. He argued with me and kept saying No. I have a reciept that proved that. Oh well, what kinda service is that, not only you made mistake, not owning it and charge me for your mistake, he needs more training to do his job and get some note pad so you can write down the order!!

God help us if our meat was stored in there!

We moved recently and this spot is around the corner, however we likely will never visit again.. Highlight was lunch with my Queen. Next is the egg-rolls, pretty tasty! The Bahn Mi was pretty good also, bigger than most. The Pho was ok, have had better.. The broth was not as flavorful as we've had other places. Nobody asked how our meal was, nor did they ever refill my water. If the place wasn't so filthy, and the service poor, we would probably return, simply because it's within walking distance. There is spot in Everett called Basil Authentic that blows this place out of the water!

    Bánh canh cua

I ordered Banh canh cua. It was $15 per order. For some reason, it doesn't taste as good as the one in Everett. The store was old. Plenty of room Service was ok

Kind service, mainly taking orders and dropping off food, but was pleasant. Green Beans - solid green beans! No meat but stir fried well. A bit pricey but a solid shareable portion. I'd love a version with some meat but I can appreciate being vegetarian friendly. Pan Fried Pork Bao - sadly no soup in this pan fried bao. I think there was too much bread because everything was very doughy while the actual pork was tiny in comparison. If there was more meat then maybe the extra large dough would be okay. On the bright side I guess this is a filling item with the carbs. Xiaolongbao - Unfortunately, 2 out of 8 XLB were ripped and the soup spilled in the steamer. Those ones were extremely sad and disappointing. However, even the remaining 6 XLB didn't have that much soup. I would skip the XLB here which sucks because the place literally has bao in the name. Shu Mai - tasty, hearty, comfy, and satisfies the craving perfectly. Large and scrumptious, as delicious as any dim sum spot. Highly recommend because I was shocked, not expecting much.

They can accommodate big groups, as they had 2 different large groups at the same time, but those took up a lot of tables because the restaurant isn't that spacious. We ordered boiled dumplings and the friends combo A with jajung, jjamppong, and tangsuyuk (M). The bowls of jajung and jjamppong are huge, but I didn't notice any meat in the jajung. The jajung was basically noodles, brown sauce, and onions. It was tasty, but disappointing that it looked and tasted vegetarian. The jjamppong was tasty because it was garlicky and slightly spicy. I was surprised to see the boiled dumplings were basically tiny wontons in clear broth. They need to update their menu description because I was expecting dry and regular sized dumplings. The tangsuyuk was very crispy, and I'm glad they served the goopy sauce separately.
