Patrons watching videos with loud volume on their phones and others enjoying speakerphone or FaceTime calls in the waiting area. Is there a secondary waiting area? Yes. Did any of the staff let anyone know about that waiting area? No. Are there any large signs in the waiting area letting people know about that secondary waiting area? No. Was staff walking over to the secondary waiting area to see if anyone was there when they didn't respond to their name being called by the front office or the phlebotomist? No. So is there practical use to that secondary waiting area? No. Not at all. Automated check in which is nice if you are young and can manage technology, unfortunately most of the patrons are elderly and/or have some level of disability. Even though individuals can select their language when they check in this apparently is also confusing. The front office staff yell back and forth which is terrible in a small office space. When I have come to accompany my parents, I always end up helping others check in also. They first try to ask the staff for help but unfortunately are ignored then look around and ask me (or anyone) for help. Even then, staff simply just ignores their patrons. Really this is a horrible environment for a medical office. And the security officer Michael is completely unhelpful and unuseful. The best way to come for blood work is to have an appt. If you have an appt they try to keep on time. If you walk in, vaya con dios mi amigo. Even at 8:30am the walk in wait is projected to be 2 - 3 hours long. Now can you understand why the waiting area is jam packed with no place to sit or stand? The one time I actually came for myself was a mess. This ended up with both my arms used as pin cushions and the end result was using both hands (because they couldn't get the poke on either arm or one hand). This was after I informed them they would need to used a butterfly. I guess they don't believe me despite the fact that at my age I know my veins and I know what works for me. After all the failed pokes and having to sit there with warm compresses on both arms and hands and having to pull in a second phlebotomist they finally used a butterfly and got it. Too bad they didn't listen to me when I first got there but maybe they get some joy from poking and digging uselessly into people's arms and hands. Needless to say I hate this place. This location is the worst. I would have given them negative 5 stars if that was allowed. There are other labor locations and I would recommend trying them unless you have no choice. Or better yet, if your insurance allows, go to Quest.

She has communicated that there is not a bigger location to accommodate this community. They closed the location in West Covina and opened one in Baldwin park. I have to drive my parents further and further from their home because you cannot secure a location that serves the area that they reside in. That is an excuse. There is no posible way you are going to tell me that there is no other location. You have your clients wait upstairs then they are brought downstairs to the basement to wait again. In the basement there is a maximum occupancy of 29 people but the tiny lobby is full at 14 seats. There is no ventilation. You are in extreme close proximity to others. At the very least put an air purifier. The employees at this location are always moody. They look as upset and dissatisfied as the clients they serve. They communicate with the tech upstairs via a walkie talkie that is getting paid as a door monitor. So you charge the insurance of these customers the same as any other city and you give the ridiculous excuse that you can't find another location. That is a flat out lie. You do it because not enough people complain. Because as minorities we are complacent and we traditionally have accepted less. You know this and take advantage of it. Our time is irrelevant to you. You keep maximizing on the amount of money you make per location and we just keep waiting. No regard for our time or the conditions in which we wait. Every time I come here we wait over an hour and a half. YOU HAVE THE CLIENTS TO SUPPORT A BIGGER LOCATION. Please give this community the respect they deserve. Stop ignoring the very apparent need and dismissing it. I am tiered of seeing how you treat people depending on location and demographics. You should be ashamed of this very clear fact. Stop ignoring it! This community deserves better.

The lady at front counter was very polite and tidy in her appearance. It turns out she would be the one to draw my blood. Her name was KARLA and she was one of the best phlebotomist that have ever drawn my blood. She engaged me in conversation and that distracted me. Before, I knew it she was done. I got to my truck ripped open my box of chocolate covered raisins when my phone rang. It was Karla advising they missed one test! Argh ! Too late I was halfway thru my box. I returned on Friday and had a completely different experience. The lady at front counter was nice enough. But, she looked very messy, her hair was raggedy ann red. She kept making weird faces. I waited at least an hour, the man who drew my blood was ok. He wasn't as gentle as Karla. I bruised from his draw. So, my suggestion is to go when KARLAS working shes the best!

I had to lift my arm out of my one sleeve so he could draw my blood. Then he gave me the instructions for the 2 stool samples. One had to be refrigerated. I took the 2 tests back the next day. He asked if I had the paperwork. He had already made a copy of the order, so I thought that was odd. I ran back home and picked up the paperwork. The facility closed at 2:00, so when I walked back into the facility, it was 2:00. I made the comment that I was glad that I made it on time. The phlebotomist said, "Well, you showed me one of your breasts, so I waited for you. I was so shocked that I didn't know what to say. I had an appointment with a gastrointestinal doctor the following week. He looked up the results of the 2 stool samples. He stated they weren't there. I went back to Labcorp, and the lady at the front desk had no idea. She told me to call the corporate office. That was a joke. I called, and the customer service rep had no idea where they were. She actually told me to come back in and redo the tests. I told her that the tests had to be done at home. Really?? I made 4 phone calls to Labcorp and finally spoke to an actual person. I asked to speak to a supervisor. He left me on hold for a long time, then finally took the information. A supervisor did call me back, and I explained the problems. He told me that it was probably lost. How would it get lost since I gave it to the phlebotomist? The supervisor told me that he would call me back. He never did. Is this the way for a facility yo operate? I would never go back there. The phlebotomist was unprofessional, and they lost 2 of my tests. Those tests were very important.

My throat was swelling, I could barely speak, and it was becoming difficult to breathe normally. I didn't catch the name of the woman at the front desk who checked me in and gave me my injection, and I'm sorry for that. She stayed calm, explained everything clearly, and treated me with genuine kindness when I was scared. Dr. Amrit Dillon came in quickly, took my condition seriously, and after the injection he came back more than once to check my swelling and make sure I was improving. That extra attention really gave me peace of mind. Everyone I interacted with was kind and professional. What may have been routine care for them meant a great deal to me as a patient experiencing these symptoms for the first time. Thank you all for taking such good care of me.
