It's named after Mary Brandon, a local politician who served on the city's Parks and Recreation Commission in the 1960s. Established in 1999, this park holds the distinction of being the first dog park in the City of West Palm Beach. It features two separate fenced areas--one for small dogs (25 pounds and under) and another for larger dogs. Amenities include dog-friendly water fountains, play tunnels, as well as plenty of chairs, benches, and tables for owners to relax. In July 2019, the city unveiled a brand-new playground, replacing older equipment with updated, shade-covered slides and climbing structures. In addition to the dog park and playground, the park also offers picnic pavilions, a baseball field, restrooms, and a large open green space that's perfect for running around or getting some exercise. I really appreciate how the city created a space that caters to both kids and dogs. It's a welcoming, versatile park that serves the neighborhood well--perfect for a casual afternoon outdoors. I'd definitely come back, especially if I brought my dog or just wanted a quiet place to unwind outside for a while.

There is a nice playground area with a structure, benches, a softball field, a basketball court, a walking path, and open grass to run around in. For the pet owner, there are two dog "parks"/dog run areas for differing size dogs that are fenced in. When we stopped by, there was only one other car parked in the lot. It was lovely weather so I was surprised that more people were not taking advantage of the first sunny day in a while. There are some large old trees providing shade, too. We'd be here often if we lived in the neighborhood.

It is part of the Flagler Banyan Square, a multi-use project including a luxury hotel, 251 apartments, retail, restaurants, office space, waterfront events spaces, and this park open to the public. Inexpensive metered parking is available on the side streets and there is a parking garage. Flagler Banyan Square has public art, benches, landscaping, open space, and a view of the Lake Worth Lagoon across the street. People who work in the nearby businesses were using the park for their breaks. As a sat on a bench delicious smells wafted down from the nearby Elisabetta's Ristorante. Around me were a number of common starlings, one of North America's most common birds. This park is a peaceful place to sit, relax, and take in the waterfront.

My granddaughters 9 and 11 years old go to Village Park summer camp. We went there yesterday with…read moreour children and the other grandparents to cheer for the girls because they were each performing in the annual talent show. It's a fun event set up in the gym with all the children who are either performing or cheering for their peers. It was well organized and a very positive experience. Some children sang, danced, did acrobatics, or did a puppet show or mimed. What better way is there to build self esteem?

While heading through Lantana on my way to the beach, I stumbled across a beautiful Intracoastal…read morepark and decided to stop and get a few extra steps in--and I'm so glad I did. This hidden gem is now known as President Gerald R. Ford Lantana Bicentennial Park, renamed in 2007 to honor President Ford's 1976 visit commemorating the nation's 200th anniversary. Today, it's a peaceful and well-maintained waterfront spot right at the base of the bridge. The park offers a great mix of amenities, including picnic tables, grills, a playground, a picnic pavilion, a spacious green lawn, and clean restrooms. There's also a seawall and a fishing pier, making it a great place to cast a line or just relax by the water. Directly across the way, Sportsman Park provides even more fishing opportunities. The pavilion can be reserved through the city, but the picnic tables and grills are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Parking is metered unless there's a special event, in which case the city provides a shuttle. Lantana also hosts community events here, including Fourth of July celebrations and a local green market. Even on a regular day, though, it's a perfect spot to sit along the water, take in the scenic views of Lake Worth Lagoon, and watch the boats drift by.

The signage and park also honors former President Gerald Ford. In front of the park sign, and in front of all the flagpoles, there's a separate small stone slab highlighting each armed services branch including the coast guard. Behind the signage is a large art installation. And there's a small butterfly sculpture nearer the waterway. The park is located on the north side of Ocean Avenue just west of the bridge going over the Intracoastal. There's a nice sized playground area -- including structures to climb and slide on, and also a set of swings. A few kids were loudly enjoying this. There's a covered pavilion; and bathroom facilities; there are benches spaced periodically. And a walkway along the wall running along the waterway. A fisherman was trying his hand from the side nearer the bridge. And a few folks were just enjoying the water views from benches and taking a "me" break. My husband is already planning to come back here to fish. And I'll be bringing a good book to enjoy while he catches us dinner.

There is a small splash pad area, and a very shady playground with shaded benches around it, and a pavilion right next to it. Someone was having a birthday party- what a great spot for a party! It is so nice to find a truly shady spot, with fun playground equiptment.

They have a lot of classes and programs and after care. They got a lot of improvements due to a 2020 Parks Bond Referendum. The former beach house that was in poor shape - the old tennis center. 2020, saw new heights - city did it! a new $2 million tennis center and tennis courts that has the South Florida Tennis Program. And there are a ton of tennis players here all the time. It is great to have this park in West Palm Beach! So thank you very much!

Commons Park also have a beautiful New Years Eve and 4th of July celebration. There is a driving range for the golfers. Miles of jogging and walking trails. It was established in 1963 to preserve this historic neighborhood located on he intracoastal from overdevelopment. The South Palm Park neighborhood is comprised of around 200 homes of various price points that run in a narrow north-south strip between Federal Highway and the Intracoastal Waterway. The homes date back to the 1920's when the earliest pioneers moved into the area to be closer to the city. Growth continued in the neighborhood in the 1930s, '40s and '50s. The South Palm Park neighborhood is named for this passive park located at the east end of 11th Ave South. The park has open areas for play, a beach to launch non motorized watercraft onto the intracoastal, a playground, picnic tables, and grill. The views of the water are stunning. This is a true neighborhood park without any outside parking. You can try to park on the side of the road but you can tell from the people walking in that this park is only used by the South Palm neighborhood.

Camellia Park was one of the first parks built in the city. In 2012, $600,000 worth of improvements were made to the park, Camellia Park is ten acres and has an exercise path, tennis courts, bocce court, racquetball courts, picnic table and grill, sand volleyball court, little league baseball field, benches, and a restroom. My favorite part of the park is the nature themed playground set under the giant banyan trees. The trees look like they are standing guard over the play equipment which includes a rope bridge, climbing structures, and a slide. This is an enchanting place to play. It is also completely fenced which keeps the children protected.
