Not sure why they had two portapottys in front of the gender assigned bathroom gazebo. We watched a guy practicing soccer on the open field. Thought I found a good fishing spot at the front canal, but as I got closer I noticed an alligator warning sign. It was green and murky so perfect place for a gator attack. (See Pic). The Loggers Run Pavilion can be rented out by scanning the QR Code. During a picnic the kids can play on the nearby jungle gym. Love these parks during the day when not packed.

Unfortunately, with the rise in popularity of pickle ball, the reduced the number of tennis courts to add pickle ball courts. Now there are only two tennis courts. Pretty much every time I go up there both courts are taken, and I have to wait for one to open up.

There are so many different options of activities to park take in. Some options: Adult workout area, picnic tables, kayak launching area and a wonderful walking trail. If that isn't enough this park also has a few tennis courts, pickle ball courts, basketball courts and volleyball. Including clean restrooms, cover pavilions and cameras in the parking lot. West Boynton Park and Recreation Center is open from sunrise to sunset. The large 47 acre park has enough amenities to appeal to everyone both indoors and outside. The indoor recreation center has administrative offices, a gymnasium, and ​meeting rooms. It offers a variety of programs, including youth basketball and junior volleyball leagues and open gym. Outdoors the park has five lighted baseball fields, 2 lighted softball fields, tennis courts and lighted basketball courts available when Park Vista HS next door is not in session, a mile exercise court with 15 Vita Course 2000 exercise stations, three lighted multipurpose fields, three picnic shelters and a large picnic pavilion with multiple tables and two large grills which can be reserved, a fenced in playground, a roller hockey rink and skate park, and a sand volleyball court. My favorite part of the park was in the back by the playground where there is a wetlands area where you can see wildlife. A father was fishing with his kids. There is picnic pavilions where you can enjoy a meal in the shade with a beautiful view of the water. Some different friends who also Disc Golf had said it was one of the best courses around so I finally felt the urge to make it up there. The open a little early which is nice too. Entering the park is impressive in itself. There are so mnay things going on from a large lake spanning waterpark, wildlife all over, a BMX park that's a good size, and of course, the disc course. The things some had said that was obvious immediately, is that the place had far more rolling hills than any park or place in South Florida. I started off at the top of a hill and had to through down to the bottom of the hill. There were shots later where I had to throw over a pond and up a hill. From the elevation changes to the great forest and water holes, it really was worth the drive. Heck, I've been back 2 more times this month already.

During the COVID lockdown, walking the trails became my favorite pastime. Especially as a pregnant woman looking for peace and fresh air, lol. Years later, those same trails are still a favorite activity for my son and me. More recently, I've taken up disc golf and was excited to find out the group I joined regularly plays at the Okeeheelee course. It's been such a fun and engaging experience! Just yesterday, I attended a picnic at one of the park's pavilions, and it was wonderful. The swings and playground next to the pavilion made it perfect for a family-friendly event. The space provided plenty of seating and shade, so everyone could enjoy themselves without being overwhelmed by the heat. There's still so much of this park I haven't explored yet, and I genuinely look forward to continuing to visit for years to come.

I was undisturbed. Other beachgoers walking back and forth but folks seemed to get my vibe and did not approach. There is a beached sailboat here since December. Maybe it's still here when you visit. It made for some fun photos. There is a bathroom facility and a beach shower and a picnic pavilion. Parking across the street requires feeding a meter. Don't forget that.
