Not sure why they had two portapottys in front of the gender assigned bathroom gazebo. We watched a guy practicing soccer on the open field. Thought I found a good fishing spot at the front canal, but as I got closer I noticed an alligator warning sign. It was green and murky so perfect place for a gator attack. (See Pic). The Loggers Run Pavilion can be rented out by scanning the QR Code. During a picnic the kids can play on the nearby jungle gym. Love these parks during the day when not packed.

This city park is huge -- about 25 acres -- and full of recreational and sports opportunities…read more Located on the west side of Dixie Highway/ U.S. 1 south of Southern Boulevard. It's easily accessible and there is a large parking lot. The first thing you see when entering the park are these majestic trees. These huge, tall banyan ficus are grouped together in a grove. Their extending roots and extra trunks appear to be a throw back to another era. Based on the age of the park, itself, we know they are at least 70 something years old. In one of my photos. I stood at the base of one tree so you can get a perspective of how tall these trees are. These trees alone are a reason to visit. Of course, if you are sports minded, there are courts for basketball, soccer, tennis, and pickleball. There's a separate skate boarding park newly revised this year. Plus a playground, exercise/walking trail, pavilions, and picnic areas. And the separate baseball section (see other Yelp listing). In between all the wonderful sports court areas are lovely green swaths of grass. Overall, this is a beautiful park packed with possibilities. I'm so glad I found it and visited here.

Coral Way lies along Coral Way Road which was established by Coral Gables founder George E. Merrick during the 1920s. The Coral Way subdivisions contain a charming mix of Mission Revival Style architecture and bungalow homes from the 1920s, Art Deco style from the 1930s, and modest post-World War II homes. Shenandoah is one of the oldest areas in the city of Miami and its park is one of the most visited in the city. In 2014 Coca-Cola and the City of Miami teamed up to renovate Shenandoah Park to encourage people to be more active and embrace fitness. Coca-Cola donated more than $200,000 in a grant to help the city expand the park's playground, build an outdoor fitness equipment area and upgrade its tennis courts. In 2021 the City of Miami broke ground on a new aquatic center, basketball courts, soccer field, and fitness equipment. Other Shenandoah Park amenities include a playground, picnic tables, and racquetball court. The park also has a recreation center that offers after school programs, camps, youth programs, computers, and fitness classes while the Aquatics Center offers swim lessons, water aerobics, lap swimming, and recreational swim practice. This neighborhood park has something to appeal to every member of the community. The park space was so skillfully utilized to pack so much in. There is even a library adjacent to the park for even more recreational and cultural programs. It is also beautifully landscaped with public art. This is undoubtedly one of the nicest parks in Miami.
