We came for a lesson a few weeks back and had an incredible time. The instructors were amazing and had us doing tricks in the air that we would never have thought we could do! You are walked carefully and gently through each step and phase of the process from the floor up. The instructors help calm your nerves and guide on how to approach the bar and maneuver your body safely. Parking can be an issue from time to time but if you arrive in the area early enough you should be able to find a spot in one of the parking lots right across from the park. I highly recommend this school for anyone looking for a spark of adventure, excitement, or even a workout! Also works for an interesting date location! read more

What a rush of adrenaline!! Even with no prior experience in any related field, the instructors help you through every step of the swinging process. I have never felt so happy 30ft up in the air!! The experience was beyond words. And what helped make this experience happen, easy and possible was the instructors Marc, Nestor & Julie. What to expect: 1.) When you first arrive you will fill out a waiver. 2.) Marc and his team will do a demonstration for the class (Pay Attention as this can be useful for when you go up) 3.) Marc will speak about safety and what to expect. 4.) You will go up and get safely strapped into a harness asked to take your shoes off and go up the ladder climbing through the middle for safety. 5.) Once you get up you will meet Nestor or another Trapeze expert who will guide you on the next step in detail and as safely as possible. He will also offer some chalk for your hands. 6.) You will start flying and the trick is to LISTEN, COMMIT & TRUST! Marc will guide you through everything and how to safely come down. Scheduled a class on a Sunday afternoon for my cousin and her husband as a surprise gift for their 10th anniversary. Just so happened that wodpalooza was going on that same weekend but thankfully class went on as scheduled, with the events music going on in the background (didn't mind it!) Upon arriving we were immediately welcomed even by the owners friendly dog. We got to see the trapeze artists stretching exercises and some trapeze stunts before class started. They were all very nice and reassuring. The owner went through the rules and guidelines and then it was time for them to trapeze! They were both nervous as I expect anyone would be who's never done something like this before. They were able to do three different trapeze moves. You are strapped to some restraints which are controlled by the trainer outside of the tent. Two trainers are also with you at the top to help you push off and get to the trapeze poll. We left before the final lesson, which was swinging on a trapeze and having one of the artists catch you in another! Overall it was a great experience and something I think adventurous people would really enjoy! read more

"You have to jump to start the show." Wow, I had really enjoyed this class and this new way of exercise and stretching. Climbing up the ladder was intimidating and it took me about five minutes on the ledge before I took my first jump. The owner/teacher and the other students in the class were very cheerful, inviting, and had lots of tips. It was also fun to see the advanced students practice their tricks. I went from scared to jump to being confident in hanging upside down and also hugging my knees to flip when coming off. Hanging feels so great as a stretch. The price of $70 for a two hour class is completely worth it and you will want to come back again! You can also try one jump for $20. I cannot wait for my second class to learn catching with a second person. They also have a great location with the best views for videos or photos in Bayfront Park! read more

I came here with a group of girls for my bachelorette party and let me tell you, this was a one of a kind experience and I highly recommend! My group consisted of thrill seekers, those who were scared of heights and those who just want to keep their feet on the ground. We all did it and all have a blast! Who hasn't threatened their students with quitting their job, joining a circus and never seeing them again?!?!? No one? Just me...?? Well anyway, if you have ever had any aspirations for a life under the big top (and even if you haven't) I highly recommend this experience. Exhilarating, fun and entertaining do no justice in explaining what it feels to soar. The location is amazing, with a nice view of the bay. Hidden enough so that you are not gawked out but still visible enough to give you a nice view. I will not lie to you say that I did not feel like crying. Or that at one point I was pretty sure I was going to pee my pants. Or that I did not express regret and use more curse words than an Eminem track circa 1999. But I will also be lying to you if I said that I didn't have a freaking blast. It is an adrenaline shot like nothing else. At one point, in my terror induced "wtf am i doing, get me down" moment, one of the instructors mentioned that i was actually excited but couldn't tell the difference and I honestly have to agree. While it is scary, it is also fun and new and exciting in a really magical way. It is quite incredible what your body is able to do if you just push yourself out of your comfort zone. If nothing else, go for the instructors. Mark, Ivan, Miguel and Pablo were AMAZING. The professionalism they demonstrated was out of this world. They made a nervous wreck like me feel at ease. As someone who once freaked out doing kiddie rock climbing, this was no small feat and they earned my trust with ease. It is hard not to feel safe when you have people explaining and guiding you through the whole process with patience and lightheartedness. They knew when to make a joke to make you smile and when to "tug" so that you felt reassured. At no point in the whole experience was I concerned for my safety. And even when I was at the literal edge of a 30 foot drop, I was constantly reassured and encouraged to loosen up and have fun. Definitely an experience to be repeated! read more

I had first considered the "try-n-fly", and I'm glad I went with the 2hr class. If I had only done the "try-n-fly", I do not think I would have enjoyed it. As the instructors mentioned, "The first time is for fear, the second for fun" I found that to be true! I was not so sure after my first attempt. By the 3rd attempt, I was having a great time. By the end of the class, I wanted to join the circus ;) In all seriousness, I would DEFINITELY do this again, and I would recommend anyone try it! You do not need any special skill or strength or experience to do it. The instructors are great, and they will talk you through each step, and build your skills and confidence. My friend Rachel bought me a trapeze lesson for Christmas in 2010 and we never got a chance to use it until this year. All I will say is that I am SOOOO glad we decided to do it before I move from Miami. We had an amazing time! I only wish we had done it sooner so that we could do it again before I move up to Philly. The instructors were absolutely fabulous. They made sure we felt safe and trusted them. They showed us each trick and built up our confidence in doing them. We had a small group, just 4 of us, so we were able to really utilize the 2 hour time frame and got to go a lot. It is at Bayfront park in a small area tucked under some trees. Excellent location as you get views of the bay as you swing like a monkey from the trapeze. I felt like a professional after only a couple of swings! I would recommend this to anyone who has an adventurous side. The beginning you get a little anxious and nervous, but once you take your first swing you are hooked and ready for more:) Rachel and I not only walked away with giant smiles on our face, but we couldn't stop talking about it and sharing pictures with friends for days!!! The flying trapeze school was a positive and altogether exhilarating experience. I was in Miami on vacation to celebrate a friend's birthday. Four of us arranged to attend a class after reading positive feedback here on yelp and trip advisor. It was even better than expected. All of us were nervous with little relevant experience. Mark, the owner, promised us we'd be able to do it and he was right. The other instructors, Lock and Cindy, were fantastic too. We had 4 opportunities to swing on the trapeze and practice our flying routine. Then, we each had 2 "catches." I've been skydiving before and I think it's safe to say I had the same level of butterflies as I prepared to do this- and it was an unbelievable adrenaline rush every time, even as I no longer was nervous. Kids can participate too although I believe they must be at least 8 years old. It was very safe. I absolutely loved this experience- it was also an intense workout which left me very sore the next few days :) Hard to find something so challenging and yet so enjoyable. I wish I lived closer so that I could come back often. Thanks again to Mark and his instructors for an experience we'll never forget. By far the highlight of our trip! read more

You are not just swinging around, you actually get to do some tricks. There were some regulars flying and doing advanced tricks, and they were not treated superior to us- I think that reflects very highly on the staff.
